Talk about Simran and you are reminded of her sizzling song ‘Okka Magadu’ in Seetaiah. She gave up her happening career in Tamil and Telugu after her rumoured affair with a senior actor Kamal Hassan and her subsequent marriage to Deepak Bagga. She did a small role in Trisha Ledha Nayantara that is releasing this week. Also she has turned producer and named her banner Simran And Sons so that she gets to act in substantial roles that are creatively satisfying. Her first one from this banner is a woman centric story, a Tamil film to be directed by Gowri Shankar. With lot of people taking the initiative and going to the theatres to watch cinema, Simran feels it is time for change over in offering new stories to audiences.
