The controversial Palnadu tour of former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy seems to have done more damage than good to the party and himself. What was expected to give a political mileage has boomeranged because the roadshow was organized without police permissions and also resulted in the death of one innocent party worker named Singayya.
The shocking footage of Singayya getting run over by YS Jagan’s own vehicle has been going viral and called for an immediate action from the police department. According to the latest reports, Jagan’s personal driver Ramana Reddy who was accused of rash driving for not paying attention to the crowd and moving ahead in haste has been taken into custody by Guntur police. He was named A1 in this case and was detained by the police just a while ago.
Meanwhile, YS Jagan has been named as A2 and the car owner was named as A3. A case under IPC 304 was registered and further investigation is now going on to find the facts of the case and how Singayya died on that day. The unfortunate mishap was caught on camera by one of the supporters who recorded it live as Jagan’s car was stopped his supporters to greet him.
It appears to be a blatant hit and run case as the driver didn’t pay an heed though many supporters shouted at him to stop the vehicle after noticing Singayya beneath the wheels. What was more distressing is that neither Jagan Mohan Reddy nor anyone in his convoy tried to shift Singayya to hospital for getting treatment due to which he succumbed to injuries and was declared dead by the doctors.
On the very same day, Guntur police claimed that Singayya was hit by one of the vehicles in the convoy and denied any involvement of Jagan’s car. Now, it has been clearly revealed that it was Jagan’s vehicle which caused the accident.
