Something which every Telugu man should know happened in South Africa on Friday, when Andhra Pradesh government also issued a GO which reflects the South African situation. Let’s see what happened in South Africa first.

South African President Jacob Zuma apologized to the nation. In a televised address the bowed before the nation and admitted to a crime and tendered apologies. You know, what he did. President Zuma spent about $16 m government money on his private house. He also agreed to repay portions of the money he had spent on his private property as per the court directive. President Zuma, who belongs to the party which fought for the liberation of South Africa from the Apartheid, ANC, said, ” I wish to emphasize that I never knowingly and deliberately set out to violate the constitution.” After this spending of huge public money on president’s private property hit headlines, there was an uproar all across South Africa demanding Zuma to step down. Even constitutional court found fault with Zuma and asked him to repay the amount spent on his private House.
Politician of all countries think alike. A similar spending of public money on Chief Minister’s private property is going on unabated for the past 22 months in Andhra Pradesh as well. We have earlier published many reports on how the state government is spending huge money on making the life of CM comfortable at his private residence as well. Now a new GO has been issued to spend Rs 1.36 crore on his private farm house in Hyderabad. The government is spending on works treating them as urgent. The CM’s camp residence is located at Madeenaguda Village, Serilingampally mandal, Cyberabad, Hyderabad. Is it necessary to spend Rs 1.36 crore on a far-house, when the CM plans to relocate himself to Vijayawada. Will he take cue from president Zuma and stop the spending.
