For a mere twenty day shoot Nitya Menen has charged 1.20 crore for Rajasimha’s film Okka Ammayi Tappa. She could have charged less but since Sandeep Kishan is not a popular hero, she must have sought big money as compensation. Kajal is almost in the same bracket demanding 1.20 to 1.50 cr. Samantha comes next charge a crore. The fastest growing heroine is Rakul Preet who is now charging 80 lakhs but for her next movie she has quoted one crore. Regina Cassandra is taking around 60 lakhs. Sayyesha who made her debut with Akhil has been given 25 lakhs and Niharika 40 for her film with TV9. However the highest paid actor amongst the women is Anushka who after Bahubali has taken a neat 3 core for Size Zero.After Srimanthudu Sruthi has been charging two crore.
Anushka’s ‘Bhagmati’ back in news
Long back, Pilla Zamindar fame director Ashok planned a film with Anushka in the lead role. But, the project was put on hold due to some unknown reasons. Titled Bhagmati, it is touted to be a woman centric film with a new genre.
According to the fresh reports in the media, the project is likely to get under way by the end of December. A close source to the director revealed that he is currently working on the script and the pre production formalities will be wrapped up very soon. Also, the source added that the film is neither a historical nor a period drama.
More details about this interesting project will be announced very soon.
Anushka confirms her next project
Gorgeous actress Anushka is currently busy promoting her upcoming magnum opus, Rudhramadevi, which is getting ready to release on October 9th. She is also awaiting the release of her bilingual rom-com, Size Zero.
In the meantime, Anushka has confirmed that she will share screen space with Suriya for the third installment of the popular ‘Singam’ franchise. Anushka played the female lead in the first two installments and she is happy to once again team up with Suriya. The regular shooting of Singham 3 will start later this year.
Hari, who directed the first two portions, will direct the film. Shruti Haasan is in talks for the second heroine’s role in the film. More details are to be announced.
Baahubali – 2 work begins
Baahubali – 2 ( The Conclusion ) is ready to take off. After a long break, thanks to pre-release publicity and post release promotions Team Baahubali is all set to stsrt work on the remained of Baahubali-2 shoot.
30% of the talkie part for Baahubali-2 was completed simultaneously with Baahubali-1. Now the remainder of the film needs to be shot. Scripting work and pre-production for the remainder of the film started today with Madan Karky joining Rajamouli and team. Shooting of the film is likely to start in October end or November. Baahubali – 2 is being planned for early 2017 release. Prabhas and Rana are back to working on their physique. Anushka will be seen in a radically different avatar in this part when compared to part 1.
Rudrama Devi gets a new release date
Gunasekhar’s much delayed 3D magnum opus Rudrama Devi gets a new release date, yet again. Rudrama Devi is now scheduled to release on September 17th 2015 as per the production sources. Whether the movie will eventually make it to the silver screen on the said date or not is very much dependent on the financial mess in which the production house is in. Gunasekhar is producing this film on his own banner Guna Team Works and he is supposed to clear many dues which is resulting in the constant postponement of the film. Rudrama Devi boasts of an ensemble cast comprising Anushka, Rana, Allu Arjun, Prakash Raj and many other established actors.
Anushka’s Size Zero First Look
Anushka Shetty’s off beat entertainer Size Zero movie firdt look was released today on Independence Day eve. Arya is playing the main lead in this bilingual film. Prakash Kovelamudi, son of legendary director K.Raghavendra Rao is directing this film after a brief hiatus. His list film Anaganaga Oka Dheerudu bombed at the box office. Prasad V Potluri is producing Size Zero on his PVP Cinemas banner. Size Zero is being readied for release in October.
