Natural Nani turned producer with an innovative film Awe which impressed critics bigtime. With Nani’s brand, the film opened well but could not end up as a money-spinner despite of getting exceptional reviews. Prasanth Varma directed the movie and soon after this, he delivered a flop named Kalki. Taking twitter recently, Prashanth Varma said that he is ready with the script of the sequel for Awe and he is waiting for a producer to kick-start the project.

Tollywood was left in deep shock why did Nani miss an opportunity to bankroll the sequel. Going into the news, Nani was not impressed with the work of Prashanth Varma during the shoot of Awe. Right from the sets to the shoot, there were creative differences between Prasanth Varma and Nani. The director even did not deliver the content of Awe till the last minute which left the makers tensed. This kept Nani away from Prasanth Varma who announced his next with Nani after the release of Awe. Hence the sequel of Awe too will be happening without Nani on board.

Natural star Nani became a household name across the Telugu states after he delivered back to back promising films in recent years. While his domestic market potential has increased by leaps and bounds, Nani created a brand for himself in the overseas trade circuit.

In overseas, Nani is easily one of the most reliable actors of Tollywood. His films are finding huge patronage from overseas audience and his stardom is on par with the current generation superstars. With his films like Eega, Bhale Bhale Magadivoi, Nenu Local, MCA and Ninnu Kori breaking into the prestigious million dollar club, Nani emerged as a crowd puller of sorts.

Nani gained such a strong foothold in overseas that even his association with a small and experimental film like AWE has resulted in massive footfalls right from the premiers day.

AWE is produced by Nani and has him playing a fictional character of Fish with a voice over. Nani’s charisma in overseas got extended with AWE as the film touched the half a million dollar mark by the end of its first weekend which is termed as a sensational feat by trade pundits.

Also, in terms of overall gross earned by Tollywood heroes, Nani is comfortably placed in the 5th place just after Mahesh Babu, Prabhas, NTR and Pawan Kalyan. The cumulative gross of all Nani’s films is close to $ 8 M with an approximate average of $ 1M for each film.

With each film, Nani’s brand in overseas keeps improving and he continues to be a bankable asset for trade circles there.

With vast expansion of technology and media, news spread like wildfire and everyday hundreds of speculations make rounds about the actors and their films. However Natural Star Nani surprised Tollywood with his next film Awe. The entire cast, crew and the shooting schedules have been kept under wraps. Not even a single news about the film stepped out till the completion of the film’s shoot which is quite surprising. The shocking thing is that Awe has a list of top actors and technicians. This is how Nani managed to keep things under wraps:

Nani loved the script and he decided to turn producer with Awe. Right after he arranged his team, they were quite keen on keeping things under scanner. Not the entire script, but their character alone has been narrated to the cast. Nani also managed to get his close technicians on board and they never hinted anyone about the shoot, schedules and the project. Most of the film has been shot in erected sets and the makers banned the usage of mobiles and gadgets on the sets. No visitors have been allowed to visit the sets of Awe.

Each and every actor, technician, junior artists and the production team have been requested not to share anything about the film. Right from the costumes to the sets, Nani and his co-producer Prashanti Tipirneni involved in each and every aspect of the film. On the whole, Nani managed to win keeping things under wraps on the sets and we have to wait and see if his first production Awe ends up as a box-office winner.

Natural Star Nani is on cloud nine after he scored his eighth blockbuster in a row with Middle Class Abbayi which released during the Christmas weekend. The actor has been impressed with a script narrated by a debutant Prashant Varma and decided to produce it on his own. With number of prominent actors playing lead roles in the movie, Nani too decided to contribute his part for the movie. The actor’s first look has been unveiled and he will be playing a humanitarian fish in the film.

Nani is said to have lent his voice for the role and the makers unveiled the first poster of his role from the movie titled Awe. Nithya Menen, Srinivas Avasarala, Regina Cassandra, Priyadarshi, Eesha Rebba, Murali Sharma and Kajal Aggarwal are the lead actors in the movie which is currently in final stages of shoot.
