Purandheswari inaugurates party election offices

0

AP BJP chief Daggubati Purandheswari on Thursday inaugurated the party election offices in all 25 Parliament constituencies in the state. She inaugurated the Narsapuram Lok Sabha constituency election office at Bhimavaram and later inaugurated other 24 offices virtually.

Speaking on the occasion, Purandheswari said that the BJP would start Palleku Podam from February 9 to 11 and Praja Poru yatra from February 20 to 29. She wanted the rank and file of the BJP to participate in the two programmes and sensitise people in favour of the BJP.

She said that the BJP is all set to win 350 Lok Sabha seats in the country in the coming elections. There is no opposition to the BJP at the national level, she said. She further said that the BJP government at the Centre had been developing the nation on par with the developed countries in the world. The government wants to take India as one of the developed countries in the world by 2047, when the nation reaches 100 years of Independence.

Countries across the world were appreciating the governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, she said and added that India was leading the world in different platforms. She wanted the rank and file of the BJP to explain all these issues to the people and ensure that they voted for the BJP in the coming elections.

Purandheswari said that the YSR Congress rule was destructive and spread hatred among the people. The government started with the demolition of Praja Vedika on the banks of river Krishna and it continues even today, she said. She further alleged that the government was filing atrocity cases against those who question this government.

She wanted every BJP activist to start questioning the government. She also wanted the BJP activists to expose the failures of this government. The Central government had given Rs 2,500 crore to the state for developing Amaravati as the capital. However, this government had ignored Amaravati, she said. She also said that AP is the only state where there is no capital.

Referring to the Polavaram Project, Purandheswari said that the TDP had delayed the project work, while the YSR Congress had completely ignored it. The Central government was funding the project but wondered why this government could not complete it.

YSRCP has no right to conduct bus yatra in AP, says Purandheswari

0

BJP AP unit president Daggubati Purandheswari on Monday said that the ruling YSR Congress has no right to conduct bus yatra for social justice in the state. Speaking at the party state unit meeting at Ongole, Purandheswari said that the YSR Congress government had betrayed the people of weaker sections and neglected sections in the last four and a half years.

She alleged that the YSR Congress had ignored the welfare of the BCs, SCs, STs and Minorities in the last four and a half years. She also said that the government had withdrawn over 27 welfare schemes aimed at the overall development of these neglected sections.

She said that the government was filing cases against those whoever criticised the government. The government was targeting the leaders of the opposition parties in the state and victimising them, she said.

The atrocities against the SCs and BCs have increased in the last four and a half years, she said and added that the ruling party leaders were giving home delivery of dead bodies. Men and women of these neglected sections have become the target of the ruling party leaders in several parts of the state, she said.

The BJP leader further said that the ruling YSR Congress leaders were grabbing the lands and house sites of the SCs, STs and BCs in the state. The land grabbing had become the synonym of the ruling party leaders, she alleged.

Purandheswari said that the ruling party leaders were threatening the SCs, STs, BCs and Minorities in the state and were planning to impersonate their votes in the coming elections. The leaders were going to the people of these sections and were threatening them with dire consequences if they voted against the party.

People of these sections were living under fear in the YSR Congress rule, Purandheswari said. She appealed to the people of these neglected sections to support the BJP in the coming elections. She said that the BJP would give them support from the atrocities committed by the YSR Congress leaders.

0

Speaking to media persons at Nellore on Friday, Purandheswari said that the two parties have formed an alliance, and the alliance is continuing. There was no communication so far from the Jana Sena to the BJP on the alliance, she said and added that the relationship between the two parties is healthy and active now.

She came down heavily on the state government. She said that the government had given up the welfare and development of the state. The government was indulging in vendetta politics. She alleged that the ruling YSR Congress leaders were attributing motives for the political rivals.

She also blamed the ruling party and the state government for filing cases against the political rivals. Whoever criticises the government is being arrested and cases are being foisted against them, she alleged.

Purandheswari said that the Central government is funding every welfare and development programme held in the state. She said that there was not a single programme of the YSR Congress government. Every programme is sponsored by the Central government, she said.

The roads in the state are in the worst condition, she said and criticised the government for not even laying the roads. She said that the people were trolling the road conditions in the state on social media. The roads in Andhra Pradesh have become the election topic in other states, she said.

Purandheswari also said that the Central government had set its eyes on the scams in Andhra Pradesh. She said that there is a scam in every field starting from liquor to sand, and maintained that she had given a report to the Centre.

TDP defends Purandeswari, calls Vijayasai a jailbird

3

The TDP leaders do not usually support Daggubati Purandeswari, considering the long-standing differences between Mr Chandrababu Naidu and his co-brother-in-law Daggubati Venkateswara Rao. It is well known how Purandeswari had to join the Congress party and later the BJP for shaping her political career. Now, after getting the national general secretary post in BJP, Purandeswari has spoken in strong defence of Amaravati Capital.

Quite surprisingly, YCP MP Vijayasai Reddy has made caste allegations against Purandeswari for supporting the Amaravati project after she took over as BJP top post. The YCP leaders were targeting Purandeswari despite her having strong influence in the BJP national circles.

In the face of this, the TDP came in defence of Purandeswari and launched a scathing attack on Vijayasai Reddy. Former Minister Ayyanna Patrudu said that the NTR family was like a Tulsi garden while the YCP MP was a Ganja plant in a Ganja garden. Everybody knows the illegal assets cases and how Vijayasai Reddy has been condemned as a jailbird.

Ayyanna Patrudu told Vijayasai not to speak with arrogance and attitude as the day is not far off when he would have to pay a heavy price for his illegal activities.

Purandeswari ignores Jagan, to continue in BJP

0

Daggubati Purandeswari rose to powerful positions in national politics as NTR’s daughter. She served as Union Minister and is now a significant leader in BJP AP unit. As expected, she took a long time and carefully considered the ultimatum given by AP CM Jaganmohan Reddy. She finally decided not to join the ruling YCP. The decision was announced after her arrival from the US and long discussions with family members and sympathisers. Consequently, Daggubati Venkateswara Rao decided to leave YCP and stay away from politics for now.

Purandeswari’s decision to ignore Jagan ultimatum is creating a sensation in AP politics. Jagan offered to give good position to her if she joins the YCP. It is a good opportunity for Purandeswari. There would not be such big advantage for her in BJP which has very limited scope in Andhra even in the coming election. Moreover, BJP may tie up with TDP boss Chandrababu Naidu with whom she has long time differences.

Despite all this, Purandeswari chose to continue in the BJP. Analysts say that Daggubati family’s decision indicates the future political consequences in AP. Purandeswari has definite information how Jagan Circar is going to face huge crisis sooner than later. It is because of the hard line being taken by the Modi-Shah duo. As it is, YCP is facing an uncertain future. Its government is getting stuck in unprecedented financial crisis due to demolitions and reverse decisions.

Ex-AP MP to migrate to Karnataka for Rajya Sabha seat!

0

Migration has been from time immemorial. Animals and birds migrate during a change of seasons from one place to other. Similarly, early humans migrated in search of food, and the current civilization is migrating in search of opportunities, and better lifestyle. Now, even the politicians, who are usually considered a unique breed, are opting for migration.

Former Congress MP Daggubati Purandeswari, who is currently in BJP, is likely to be contesting for Rajya Sabha seat this time. After it was official that Congress will bifurcate the state of Andhra Pradesh, Daggubati Purandeswari left Congress and joined BJP in March 2014.

On 3rd July 2015, she was appointed as in-charge of BJP Mahila Morcha. Rajya Sabha elections will soon take place for 58 seats in 16 states. Out of which 4 Rajya Sabha seats are from Karnataka. Moreover, Karnataka is a key state in South India for the BJP.

Keeping this in mind, the BJP is trying to send Purandeswari to Rajya Sabha. She will be contesting from one of the 4 vacant (Rajya Sabha) seats in Karnataka. If things go according to the plan, Purandeswari will soon step into Parliament. She served as the Cabinet Minister for HRD, and Textiles during UPA regime, after winning in 2004 (Bapatla) and 2019 (Vishakhapatnam) Lok Sabha elections.

BJP to bet on NTR’s daughter in TDP bastion Hindupur

0

Bharatiya Janata Party is ogling to secure significant number of Lok Sabha seats in the 2019 elections from Andhra Pradesh. While the saffron party has deployed political observers, speculations are that Late NTR’s daughter Daggubati Purandeswari will contest for Hindupur Lok Sabha seat.

Hindupur is known to be stronghold for Telugu Desam party and currently is held by Kristappa Nimmala. Purandeswari is reportedly trying to convince the party high command to bless her with the seat, by playing the family card.

It may be noted that NTR, his sons HariKrishna and Balakrishna represented the assembly segment of Hindupur. As per reports, ground work has commenced the constituency. She contested from Rajampet in 2014 elections and lost the elections.

BJP is keenly bidding for the TDP bastion instead of Rajampet and three other constituencies from Rayalaseema region alone. Muralidhar Rao is the observer for the constituency, who is supposed to ensure that the party is strengthened.
