After the super success of the KGF franchise, Prashanth Neel and Yash are all set to collaborate for the third installment of the film titled KGF: Chapter 3. The filming starts in the second half of 2024 and KGF: Chapter 3 releases during the mid of 2025. The film is set between 1978 and 1981. KGF: Chapter 3 is all about Rocky Bhai expanding his empire to USA and 16 other nations.

KGF: Chapter 3 is also planned on a massive budget. Prashanth Neel will start working on the project very soon. Yash has given his formal nod for the film. Yash will start shooting for Geethu Mohandas’s film in December and the pan-Indian film will release next year. Prashanth Neel is all occupied with Prabhas’s Salaar and the film releases for Christmas 2023.

As ‘KGF 2’ celebrates one year, production house hints at ‘Chapter 3’

As the pan-India blockbuster from Sandalwood completed its first anniversary on Friday, the makers shared a video capturing the journey of the ‘KGF: Chapter 2′. What has hyped up fans’ jubilation is the hint of the third instalment of the hugely popular and successful KGF franchise.

The video ends with a shot of a copy of the KGF Chapter 3 script, hinting at one more outing for the movie.

Directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Yash as Rocky Bhai, KGF: Chapter 2 featured a solid cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Ravina Tandon, Srinidhi Shetty, Archana Jois, Vasistha N. Simha, and Rao Ramesh among many others.

The film, which had a massive opening collection of Rs 54 crore in the Hindi market and Rs 1200 crore worldwide collection, announced the arrival of Kannada industry on the global map.

Hombale Films, on Friday, also shared a poster of the film and jotted down a caption encapsulating the success of the film.

The makers are planning to release KGF 3 in 2025, however the release date is not confirmed yet.

‘KGF’ maker shares ‘Chapter 3’ update, hints another hero could play Rocky Bhai

The owner of Hombale Films Vijay Kiragandur has shared information regarding ‘KGF Chapter 3’, the next part of the superhit KGF Series.

Talking about his plans, Vijay Kiragandur has stated that the ‘KGF Chapter 3’ project will kick off in 2025 and release only after 2026. The pre-production work for the sequel has not begun yet, he stated.

Interestingly, Vijay Kiragandur has said that as the James Bond movies have different heroes, KGF sequels will also have different heroes. “There will be five sequels to the KGF series, the heroes will keep changing,” he added.

Sources explain that Prashanth Neel, the director of the movie is busy with ‘Salaar’ presently and he would take up a movie starring Jr NTR later. Only after that, ‘KGF Chapter 3’ work would begin.

Sources also state that there is a connection between ‘KGF Chapter 2’ and ‘Salaar’. They also reveal that ‘Rocking Star’ Yash will also be seen in the movie.

KGF: Chapter 2 is one of the biggest hits in the country and the film is having a dream run all over. Prashanth Neel hinted of KGF: Chapter 3 during the end titles of KGF: Chapter 2 and the discussions are on. Hombale Films, the producers of KGF franchise confirmed that KGF: Chapter 3 starts rolling this year. Vijay Kiragandur revealed that they are keen to create a Marvel kind of franchise of KGF. During a recent interview, Vijay informed that the shoot of KGF: Chapter 3 will commence in October 2022 and they are working on the plan of releasing KGF: Chapter 3 for 2024.

He said that Prashanth Neel, the mastermind behind KGF is busy with Salaar which is 35 percent complete. The next schedule of Salaar will take place next week and the makers are keen to complete the shoot of Salaar by October. Vijay Kiragandur said that KGF: Chapter 3 would have several new roles and characters. Yash and Srinidhi Shetty will reprise their roles from the original in KGF: Chapter 3.

Yash’s ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ has opened to rave reviews, and the producers have hinted at an interesting plot twist near the end of the film.

Those who saw Prashanth Neel’s directorial ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ have seen a hint that the third instalment of the ‘KGF’ franchise will also be made.

Rocky, a Bombay slum kid, rises to the position of business baron in Kolar Gold Fields (KGF), Karnataka. The first chapter depicts his ascension from poverty to affluence. The second part covers Rocky’s reign as ‘King of KGF’.

Nobody expected the third chapter until now, but after getting a hint about it near the end of the first, everyone is excited.

For now, Prashanth Neel and his batchmates have kept everything under the wraps. One wonders if ‘KGF: Chapter 3’ would be made, when would the makers make the news official.

Yash plays Rocky, while Raveena Tandon appears as Ramika Sen, and Sanjay Dutt essays the nefarious villain named Adheera in ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ directed by Prashanth Neel.
