RGV hopes Pawan Kalyan does a Rajinikanth in Andhra

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma hopes that Telugu film actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan contests all seats in Andhra Pradesh like superstar Rajinikanth is doing in Tamil Nadu.

Varma on Tuesday tweeted: “I wish Pawan Kalyan will contest all seats in Andhra Pradhesh like Rajinikanth (is) doing in Tamil Nadu.

“If he doesn’t do, Pawan Kalyan’s fans will feel he doesn’t have guts like Rajinikanth. It will be an insult to Telugu people’s prestige if our superstar has lesser guts than the superstar of Tamil people.

“If Pawan Kalyan doesn’t with guts contest in each and every seat of Andhra Pradesh, both his fans and all Telugu people will feel he’s just a very ordinary star and not a superstar like Rajinikanth of the Tamil people.”

Rajinikanth on December 31, announced his plans for a political career. He will float a new party that will pursue “spiritual politics” and vowed to contest the next Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.

RGV Opens Up about ‘Kadapa’

The maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma has more fans not just for his directorial brilliance but also for his off the camera quirks and interesting take on regular happenings around the world. His first web series Guns and Thighs was quite hard hitting and became talk of the town when it released. RGV also took time to clarify that people might think he already touched similar theme in Rakta Charitra but he confessed that it was only on the scratch!

Two interesting titles in consideration for Nag – RGV film

Akkineni Nagarjuna reunited with maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after two and half decades for an intense cop drama which started rolling in Hyderabad a couple of weeks ago. The film’s first schedule has been wrapped up and Nagarjuna took a break to oversee the release of Akhil’s upcoming film Hello.

In the meantime, RGV registered two interesting titles under his banner in film chamber. Gun and System are the two titles which are in consideration for this film which has Nag playing a powerful police officer. Sapatham is also said to be another title in consideration for the film, but Nag and RGV are looking at Gun as an apt title for the film. We have to wait till an official confirmation is made about the title.

Myra Sareen is the film’s leading lady. The makers are planning to release the film in early summer.

Akkineni Nagarjuna will unite with eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma after two and half decades for an interesting crime thriller which will roll out in the third week of this month. Incidentally, the regular shooting will commence at the same shooting spot in Annapurna Studios where Nagarjuna – RGV’s blockbuster hit Shiva started rolling.

Telugu360 has exclusively learnt that the film will see Nagarjuna playing a powerful cop who starts a mission on a purpose. Maverick filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma announced a film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ which chronicles crucial stages in the life of legendary actor and politician NTR.
