In recent times, the Telugu TV news channels have turned out to be an ombudsman, trying to resolve disputes between two individuals, or groups. Be it the case of Mahaa TV that worked to solve the dispute between Kathi Mahesh and Pawan Kalyan fans, now TV9 comes forward in making Ram Gopal Varma apologize to woman activist Mani.

Ram Gopal Varma was seen in a live TV show in TV9 studio. The maverick director attended the Cyber Crime Police upon being served notices. While explaining the drama that had unfolded at the CCS premises, Ram Gopal Varma stood by his word. Leaks surfaced that, RGV claimed, he did not direct the film physically by via a Skype video, during the live TV show.

Speaking on this, RGV said, ‘I am not detaching myself from GST. I still stand by the claim that, I’m the one behind creating GST. And moreover, my remarks over woman activist Mani, about casting her in GST2 were uttered in a humorous manner. I convey my apologies if my remarks have offended her or embarrassed her’.

Soon the activist was pulled up over a phone call by TV9. The woman activist simply turned down the apologies offered by Ram Gopal Varma and called for strict and stringent actions against him.

It is known news that social activist Devi has filed police case on RGV for the demeaning comments he made during a TV debate with her. She filed police complaint for inappropriate comments he made during TV debate on porn vide GST. Police registered case under Sections 508, 509 of IPC and 67 of IT Act.

During the debate, when Devi mentioned why TVs are giving so much publicity for this porn video while there are 4000 crore porn sites there and so many useless people like RGV work there. For this RGV replied, how does Devi know how many porn sites are there? Does she watch them? He goes on and embarrassed her and even people watching the program felt RGV crossed the line a bit. So, Devi took it to the Police. When notice was served last time, RGV told he will not be able to come on that day because of prior commitments. So Police served a fresh notice and RGV is attending the police today.

RGV tweeted from his handle, ” With regard to the FIR on me ..am appearing before the concerned authorities as I am duty bound as a citizen to respect the law of the land to give reply to the false accusations made against me”. So, as he confirmed his attendance today, the next question is will police arrest RGV today after the inquiry. Though Police has the right to arrest in these sections, after the inquiry, we have to wait and see whether this case go till that extent.

RGV booked for obscenity a day before ‘GST’ release

A day before the release of his controversial movie “God, Sex and Truth” with American porn star Mia Malkova, Hyderabad police booked filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma for obscenity on a complaint by a social activist.

A case under section 67 of the Information Technology Act, 2000 was booked against him for publishing or transmitting obscene material in electronic form.

On the complaint by activist Devi and others, Central Crime Station (CCS) registered a case. A police officer said the complainant cited some photographs allegedly posted by Varma on social media. One of these photographs is obscene.

The filmmaker was also booked under sections 506 and 509 of Indian Penal Code for allegedly making personal comments against her and others opposing the movie. He has been charged with insulting the modesty of woman.

Police said they would take legal opinion and conduct investigations before taking further action in the case.

Meanwhile, women’s groups staged protest in Hyderabad and Visakhapatnam, demanding ban on the release of the movie on web and his immediate arrest.

The activists of All India Democratic Women’s Association (AIDWA), AP Mahila Samakhya and other groups raised slogans against Varma.

They alleged that Varma is releasing the movie on web to avoid the certification by authorities. They said the filmmaker is portraying woman as a sex object and promoting pornography.

Varma has been facing strong reactions from women’s groups since he released the trailer of the movie and made certain comments.

“I truly believe that there’s no location on earth which is more beautiful and more monumental than a woman’s body,” Varma had tweeted alongside a snapshot from “God, Sex and Truth”, focussing on Malkova’s bare abdomen.

The filmmaker says the video is about a “revolutionary sexual philosophy” as professed by Malkova and encapsulated by him.

In another related development, writer P. Jaya Kumar on Thursday moved Hyderabad City Civil Court against Varma for allegedly violating copyright. The petitioner claimed that the filmmaker made “God, Sex and Truth” using his story. The court issued notice to the filmmaker.

Your new muse seems to be Mia Malkova?

She’s a brilliantly talented with the greatest clarity of thought of whoever I met so far. I would say she’s an inspiration.

Tell me about how you decided to make a film with her and how you met her?

From the time I had the idea of ‘God, Sex and Truth’, I was looking for a woman who will be most perfect for it and I finally zeroed in on her as the best choice miles above others.

Is Mia going to be another Sunny Leone in Bollywood?

That’s not for me to say but for the people who watch.

Your nude pictures with her are going viral… Or rather she is nude, you are not. Isn’t that sexist?

Hey, I am the director and she’s the actor ..since when is a director required to wear (or not wear) the same costume as the actor?

This time you have managed to shock the entire nation. How will you face the moral police?

It’s an insult to the image of India if we are talking about moral police in 2018 in a secular country..I think it’s just a proof of the amount of people who don’t have any work in India

What is your equation with Mia? Is she a personal friend or just your actor?

Absolutely professional

Tell me about the film that you are doing with Mia. What is the purpose and point behind your contemplation on sex and the human body?

It’s not about only her body, but it also captures her every thought in the process of projecting it in almost a spiritual context within her deeply felt and also inbuilt sexual emotions. She speaks graphically and shockingly hard sexual words and that’s because the whole point of this endeavour is to enhance and elevate whatever people conventionally look down upon.

At a time when fringe groups are covering up Deepika Padukone’s peeping midriff, how do you expect to get away with full nudity?

It’s not about getting away. It’s about getting real. ‘God, Sex and Truth’ is representative of every woman in the whole world, who at some point of her life felt free enough to be swept away physically and emotionally by the sheer intensity of a man’s worship of her sexuality.

It’s also about overcoming the conflicts of sexual guilts, forced commitments and pseudo moralistic norms. Any strong philosophy provokes people to look beyond the existing thoughts, resulting in a new way of looking at one’s own life and also the way it has been lived so far.

So what is the intention behind making “God, Sex & Truth”?

The intention is to project a radical thought process through a treatise of Mia Malkova to make people lose both their hypocrisy and their guilt to become free-willed sexual beings and just immerse themselves in a sea of sexual joy.

Is Mia Malkova the next Sunny Leone?

I tremendously respect Mia Malkova because she took a conscious decision to live life the way she wants to, to enjoy sex the way she feels like and to so clean-heartedly profess to the whole world to look up to the greatness of Sex and bask in it without shame and guilt

Mia Malkova in ‘God, Sex and Truth’ is like a Goddess who will intimidate anyone who watches it by the means of both the power of her honest persona and also with the integrity of her belief systems and all spoken with such intense innocence on her angelic face.

Do you see the film breaking down the social barriers that inhibit men and women about the human anatomy?

The thoughts encapsulated in and through Mia Malkova in it represent a revolutionary sexual thesis and their hard hitting nature is designed to make people look at Sex with a tremendous renewed respect that it truly deserves If someone as beautiful,intellectual and philosophical as her can speak about sex with such reverence, it proves that even a dirtiest act of sex can be as flawlessly pure and as beautifully honest as Mia Malkova.

So, are you hoping Mia would be Bollywood’s next Sunny Leone?

The philosophy behind ‘God, Sex and Truth’ intends to destroy hypocrisy, social stigmas and all religious dogmas with the extreme power of a beautiful woman’s reasoning mind in order to create a new sexual world. To sum up in one single sentence, sex will not be the same after you see Mia Malkova in this film. As for Sunny Leone, we all know how popular she is with Indians and also the hypocrisy that she faces in this country every time her name is mentioned in so-called culturally enlightened circles.

Hyderabad Civil court issued notices to director Ram Gopal Varma

The Hyderabad Civil Court issued notice to director Ram Gopal Varma on a writer Jaya Kumar’s plea accusing the maker of the movie God Sex and Truth of plagiarising his script.

The injunction was filed against R Company, RGV and others for infringement of copyright pertaining to God Sex and Truth. Upon hearing the arguments put forth by the counsel of Jaya Kumar, the court ordered “Urgent notice to the Respondents”. The next hearing is posted to 27 February,2018 where in the film maker has to make an appearance in this regard.

The court’s notice came on a plea by Jaya Kumar after Telugu360 exclusively revelation. It may be recalled that Jaya said, “GST is the content from a book cum script I wrote. I sent it to RGV for an opinion or a review and when I saw the trailer, I was shocked because GST is a blind carbon copy of my work right from the first word Mia Malkova uttered till the end of it.”

Ram Gopal Varma’s debut movie Shiva was one film that inspired a generation of directors. Most of the new directors debuted in 90s were heavily influenced by RGV. Some of them were his direct assistants but many other are “Ekalavya” disciples. Even the directors from other “schools” also had influence of RGV. For example director V V Vinayak who debuted with movie “Aadi” did not come from RGV School but in an interview revealed that he always wanted to make a film that has story like K. Raghavendra Rao film and treatment like RGV film. This was just one example.

RGV was the one who taught Indian makers how to frighten audience with camera, without any artistes on screen. Until his film RAATRI(RAAT), Telugu horror films all have women with ugly make-up and white sarees portraying the role of a ghosts. Also,he was the one who introduced how to show violence with the movements of steady camera without showing any artistes on screen. Scene involving killing of artist Sudhakar in Shiva was best example for that. He taught the Telugu filmmakers “how to tell the story with camera” instead of with hundreds of dialogues uttered by characters . He changed almost everything  – the way characters speak, the way back ground music is done, the way shot is made – and almost everything. He is one of those few directors who started from south India to Bollywood and made a name for himself. When “Satya” movie was released in 1998, one of the leading English media reviewed  as- “The way director captured Mumbai on screen makes one doubt whether this director is born and brought up in Mumbai”. Bollywood directors like Anurag Kashyap made debut as screenplay writer with RGV films. To summarize in one line, his influence was felt all over India.

But all this is past by now. In last one decade, he is just churning out duds after duds. When he remade sholay with the title “AAG“, audience gave a counter slogans like “Theater se bhaag”. People felt he must have lost his brains after watching movies like ‘Ice cream’. In last few years, people stopped caring for his movies, and people don’t even know when his movies were releasing. Flops and hits are common, but what made one surprise is RGV changing the track and focusing on making web-series like “Guns and thighs“, Kadapa and Porn films. One doubts whether RGV is shifting his focus to digital media just because he doesn’t have enough creative juices to make a successful main stream film. Moreover, the way he is promoting his latest porn film – GST and charging it on “Pay per view” mode. Should he stoop to that level? is the question ringing in the minds of his erstwhile fans. He is aggressively promoting this film on mainstream TV channels on prime time.

RGV expressed many times in the past that he can’t make films based on others expectations but he can make movies only on scripts that excite him. However, fans of RGV expect him to push the envelope and make much better movies and movies that really match his capabilities. But seems RGV now has chosen an easy and lazy path, and focusing more on getting instant cheap publicity to make quick bucks rather than doing some real hard work and upgrading himself. With his perverted intelligence, he may brush off those callers and well-wishers in TV debates but undeniable fact is he is now more or less a youtube short porn-film maker.

RGV plagiarizing Jaya Kumar GST script

Hours after the trailer of GST – God Sex and Truth was released by Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma, Sarkar3 writer P. Jaya Kumar has claimed that after reviewing the GST trailer, he’s convinced that it is an unauthorized copy of his own script God Sex Truth – A Philosophical Treatise.

Jai speaking exclusively to Telugu360 said, “GST is the content from a book cum script I wrote. I sent it to RGV for an opinion or a review and when I saw the trailer, I was shocked because GST is a blind carbon copy of my work right from the first word Mia Malkova uttered till the end of it.”

Jai notes that he never wanted an association again with RGV after Sarkar 3. However, he says that exploiting his work without his consent is “nothing but intellectual rape“. He was taken aback by the fact that leave alone consent, he was not even kept informed about his script being worked upon. Jai adds “Apart from the grave mutilation of the intent of my content, he (RGV) did it without my consent ”

RGV’s GST has created enough ripples not only on social media but also in digital media for the novelty it has to offer. However, it is not apparently not an original compilation but a work of plagiarism. The maker certainly never gave credit to Jai. When asked if it is about credit or remuneration, Mr. Jai said “I don’t want payments and credits for a wrong doing as RGV encroached, owned and dilapidated my efforts on which I built my dreams.”.  Jai is currently pursuing legal ways to prevent RGV from using his script.

The filmmaker RGV who recently returned to twitter is aggressively promoting his new film GST – God Sex and Truth on the platform which is scheduled to be release on Jan26. Telugu360 reached out to the director and is waiting for his comments.

Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, who has returned to Twitter after taking a break for about seven months, says he got bored of not being on the micro-blogging site and, so, he got back on.

“When I stopped tweeting, I had got bored with being on Twitter and got off and now I got bored of not being on Twitter and I got on,” he said.

He is back to being provocative. Is that again going to be his USP?

“Neither a tiger changes its stripes nor a snake changes its fangs and whether that’s my USP or not, that’s me,” he said.

Why is his first tweet so aggressive in challenging actor Pavan Kalyan to get into politics?

“I was not challenging, just suggesting,” said Varma.

He seems very sure that megastar Rajinikanth will make an impact in politics. “I am not just sure but I am convinced that Rajini will sweep the elections and no other party will get even one vote,” he said.

Does he genuinely feel that Rajinikanth has a bright future in politics and Pavan doesn’t?

“I never said PK doesn’t have. All I said is he should show the same courage and confidence like Rajini,” said Varma.

Does he see an MGR-Karunanidhi kind of clash between Rajinikanth and actor Kamal Haasan?

“They belong to two different states and so the comparison is misplaced,” said the filmmaker.

On his NTR biopic’s progress, he said: “It’s timed for release before the next election.”
