The bubbly actress Samantha is the female lead in this flick. The first single Entha Sakkagunnave already won many hearts for its indigenous touch.

Now the latest single Rangamma Mangamma doesn’t disappoint either. Sung by the very talented M.M.Mansi, the song brings us back to the era of bold female leads that never hesitated to flirt with their prospective love interest. Chandrabose did a commendable job in penning a woman’s heart with such precision.

The song takes us back to the era of Mooga Manasulu’s Jamuna and Dasara Bullodu’s Vanisri who were not just fun to watch on screen but also had a tinge of boldness when it comes to expressing love! Music by DSP is undoubtedly foot tapping and enjoyable to hear.

Samantha Akkineni is going to have back to back releases this Summer. Ram Charan’s Rangasthalam and Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai are most likely to release on consecutive days in the end of March). Mahanati, in which she is playing a prominent role, is also going to release this Summer ( release date yet to be finalized).

In Rangasthalam, she is going to be seen in a completely different and de-glam avatar as a village belle. Directed by Sukumar, the film has Ram Charan as the female lead.

Vishal’s Irumbu Thirai is also going to a be a treat for Samantha’s fans as she is playing a meaty character as doctor Rathi Devi. This is the first time in her career she is paired opposite Vishal.

Another much awaited film this Summer is Mahanati in which Samantha has a narrative carrying role. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the film is a biopic on yesteryear actor Savitri.

Samantha has wrapped up the shooting formalities of all these three films recently. She is now gearing up to commence shooting for her ambitious project U Turn. Director Pawan Kumar will wield the megaphone.

Legendary actress Savitri’s biopic titled Mahanati is one among the most awaited Telugu films. Helmed by Nag Ashwin, the film is inching completion. Veteran actors NTR and ANR have done number of films with the actress and without their characters the film looks incomplete. Though Naga Chaitanya stepped out to reprise his grandfather ANR on screen, NTR Jr refused to play the role of his grandfather NTR in Mahanati.

The makers considered several actors for NTR but they were not convinced. Now after an enough search, Nag Ashwin and his team felt that the digital insertion of the NTR and ANR is the best thing they can do for the film. Some of their scenes from the original movies will be mastered and they will be inserted in the film as per the news from a source. However their screen presence will be reduced than earlier as too much insertion of episodes will not go well with the audience.

While Keerthy Suresh is playing Savitri on screen, Samantha, Vijay Devarakonda and Dulquer Salman will be seen in other pivotal roles. Vyjayanthi Movies is bankrolling this prestigious project and Mahanati has been announced for summer release.

Versatile director Sukumar is known for his interesting concepts and the talented director is focused on his next film Rangasthalam 1985. The film has been initially aimed for Dasara release but the delay in the shoot pushed it further. After a huge delay, Rangasthalam 1985 is gearing up for summer release. A reliable source from the movie unit confessed that Rangasthalam 1985 underwent a series of reshoots which heaped up the film’s budget and pushed the release date by months.

All the scenes that involved Ram Charan, Samantha and Anasuya have been shot again informed the source. While Charan wanted the entire shoot to be wrapped up by the end of December, Sukumar has been still spending time shooting the last song and the entire shoot is expected to be completed by this weekend. The makers too were not much happy with the increase in budget and the delay in the film’s release, but with nothing much to do they have been waiting with patience.

Rangasthalam 1985 is a village based romantic drama which has been slated for March 30th release. Mythri Movie Makers are producing the film.

Earlier this year, Samantha herself announced that she will reprise Shraddha Srinath’s role as a journalist and termed it as her dream role. However, there were speculations in media that Samantha has been replaced by Nitya Menen.

Now, the latest update reveals that the film is finally happening with Samantha officially signing the dotted line. The regular shooting will commence from the third week of January. Contrary to the reports it will be a bilingual, the film will be shot only in Tamil. The makers are yet to decide on simultaneously shooting in Telugu.

Director Pawan, who helmed the Kannada version, will call shots for the Tamil version too. The remaining cast and crew will be finalized very soon.
