Sumanth on Dulquer-starrer ‘Sita Ramam’: It’s going to be a classic like ‘Godavari’
The upcoming film ‘Sita Ramam’, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Rashmika Mandanna, will feature actor Sumanth in a significant role. Speaking about the movie ‘Sita Ramam’, the ‘Satyam’ actor predicted that it would become a classic, much like his movie ‘Godavari’ from 2006.
Actor Sumanth last appeared in the early-year love drama ‘Malli Modalaindi’. Although the movie didn’t do well at the box office, his performance was praised.
Sumanth is to appear in a special role in ‘Sita Ramam’ as Brigadier Vishnu Sharma. His first look poster from the movie piqued much interest, while there is much speculation on his role in the film.
Regarding ‘Sita Ramam’, it is helmed by ‘Andala Rakshasi’ fame Hanu Raghavapudi, and the teaser was well-received across the board. The background music and graphics have drawn particular praise. Recently released, the movie’s trailer has received 7.5 million views, creating much hype prior to its grand release.
In addition to Bhoomika Chawla, Mrunal Thakur, Tharun Bhascker, Prakash Raj, Gautham Menon, and others will have significant roles in this movie. The soundtrack for the movie was written by Vishal Chandrashekhar, and it is being made by Vyjayanthi Movies and Swapna Cinema. On August 5, ‘Sita Ramam’ will hit the screens worldwide.
Telugu actor Sumanth dubs for Ranveer Singh-starrer ’83’
‘Malli Rava’ hero Sumanth has turned dubbing artiste for Ranveer Singh’s upcoming cricket epic ’83’.
Billed to be a biopic of legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev, Ranveer Singh appears in the lead role. Telugu actor Sumanth, who appeared in movies like ‘Malli Raava’, will dub for the movie.
On Tuesday evening, Sumanth took to his Twitter to confirm the same by sharing a post where he wrote, “Happy to have been a small part of this by dubbing for the Telugu version, in case you hadn’t noticed. This is ’83’.”
With this, Sumanth resumes the dubbing session, in which he would lend his voice for Ranveer’s role in the upcoming movie.
The movie ’83’ will be out in the theatres on December 24. Being made in multiple languages like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam, Kamal Haasan’s Raajkamal Films International and Nagarjuna Akkineni’s Annapurna Studios are joining hands with Reliance Entertainment to present the Tamil and Telugu versions.
Prithviraj’s production house and Kichcha Sudeepa’s Shalini Arts are to present ’83’ in Malayalam and Kannada versions, respectively.
Helmed by Kabir Khan, ’83’ also stars Harrdy Sandhu, Ammy Virk, Sahil Khattar, Chirag Patil, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jatin Sarna, and Nishant Dahiya in lead roles alongside Ranveer and Deepika Padukone.

Actor Sumanth is coming up with an interesting film titled as Subrahmanyapuram. The theatrical trailer of the film has been unveiled and it is an extension of the teaser which gave a glimpse of the premise and characters.
Going by the trailer, the story is set in the backdrop of a famous temple and its deities in a village called Subrahmanyapuram. Sumanth is an atheist who is on a task to prove a point against the belief of people in the village. He goes on a research to unveil the secrets behind the temple. The trailer suggests that the film has an intriguing premise with serious characters.
Whether director Santossh Jagarlapudi manages to keep the audience hooked with his narration will define the outcome of this interesting film. The background score rendered by Sekhar Chandra is top notch and the editing appears to be taut. Eesha Rebba seems to have got a substantial role in this film.

Actor Sumanth’s 25th film is titled as Subrahmanyapuram. The shooting has been wrapped up and the first look teaser of the film has been unveiled today.
Sumanth plays an atheist who researches about idols and ancient temples. The teaser hints that the film is going to be a suspense thriller with interesting premise and characters. Directed by Santossh Jagarlapudi, the film has Eesha Rebba as the female lead.

Sumanth reprises ANR in NTR’s Biopic:
Talented filmmaker Krish went extra mile to take care of the looks of the lead actors in the prestigious NTR’s biopic. Balakrishna and Rana Daggubati surprised the audience with their transformation for the film as NTR and Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Now it is Sumanth who left the audience speechless with his stunning look as Akkineni Nageswara Rao in NTR.
On the eve of ANR’s birth anniversary, the makers unfolded ANR’s look from the film. Sumanth looks exactly the same as his grandfather right from the hair style to the glasses used. Sumanth attends court on cheque bounce case
Actor Sumanth, nephew of Akkineni Nagarjuna, has attended Malkapuram Magistrate Court, Prakasham District in connection with a cheque bounce case.
Going into the news, John Sudheer and Pudhota, co-producers of Sumanth’s 2016 film Naruda DONORuda have filed a case after the cheque given by Sumanth’s sister Supriya, one of the producer of the film, bounced last year.
The court has summoned Sumanth and his sister Surpriya to attend for the first hearing. The next hearing of the case will take place on June 28th.
Sumanth is currently busy shooting for his upcoming films ‘ Idham Jagath ‘ and ‘Subrahmanyapuram’.

With the humongous success of Malli Raava, actor Sumanth bounced back after a spate of box office failures. Directed by Gautam Tannanuri, the film features Akanksha Singh as the female lead. The actor also thanked all his fans on Twitter for making this movie a huge hit. In a recent interview, the actor revealed the reason for getting separated from his wife and actress Keerthi Reddy.
Sumanth and Keerthi Reddy got hitched in 2004 and divorced after a year. Speaking to the media, Sumanth shared, “We got separated after one year of our marriage. We are two different souls and in that year only, we came to know, that we can’t stay together for long time. So, with mutual consent we took divorce.”
He also revealed that the duo are still in contact with each other and last time he met Keerthi Reddy when his grandfather and legendary actor Akkineni Nageswara Rao got expired. Sumanth said that Keerthi married again and has two kids now. He added, “Though we got separated, we still make calls to each other and Keerthi’s family and her husband respect me a lot and maintain a cordial relationship with me.”

Actor Sumanth, who is in pursuit to score the elusive hit since a long time, is back with a new film titled ‘Malli Raava’ . Directed by Gautham Tinnanuri, this film features Aakanksha Singh as the heroine .
Story :
‘ Malli Raava ‘ is a love story that occurs between the years 1999 and 2017 in Rajole town and Hyderabad. In 1999 the then 9th class students Anjali ( Akanksha ) & Karthik ( Sumanth ) fall in love, but the girl’s family doesn’t like Karthik and considering their adolescent age , they restrict them from meeting each other. 13 years later Anjali and Karthik reunite in Hyderabad and decide to marry. But twist in the tale arises when Akanksha suddenly refuses to marry him and leaves for USA.
Rest of the story is why Anjali refuses to marry karthik at the last moment and what happens in 2017 when she returns from USA 5 years later.
Analysis:
This film starts off leisurely and continues at the same pace through out the first half. Director Gowtam is unable to establish either the feel-good factor or the conflict point properly till the interval block. Also, the sliced screenplay which oscillates between 1999 (Rajole) and 2012 (Hyderabad) and 2017 ( Hyderabad ) acts as a stumbling block to the narration and confuses audience at times.
For these type of stories, the adolescent love track should be winded up within the first half an hour (or) it should be narrated as a flashback within a specific duration. Unfortunately, that is not the case in this film. The teenage love story occupies majority of the film’s run time. The child actors who played young sumanth and akanksha roles got a lot of screen time on par with the actual pair. In addition, it is hard for viewers to sit through the stretched teenage love track. It could have been conveyed just to establish the fact that lead pair were childhood lovers. But it is extended beyond limits and tests the patience. This is the biggest drawback of this film and slow narration adds to its woes.
Coming to the lead characters, Karthik’s role is well-etched, but Anjali’s role lacks strong justified points to flip her decisions.
The background score is the biggest asset for the film. In addition, ‘ Malli Raave ‘ and ‘ Adugasale ‘ songs are super melodious and music composer Shravan Bharadwaj must be appreciated for his fantastic work.
Production values are not up to the mark, but understandable given the market dynamics in the present day scenario.
Though the director failed to come up with a coherent script and convincing narration, he must be appreciated for the fact that the episodes involving the tender love story are clean without any exaggerated romantic episodes which we usually notice in adolescent love stories.
Also, one more liability is the abrupt ending in the climax. While the first half in 75 minutes, the second half is just 50 minutes and ends all of a sudden.
Performances :
Sumanth and Akanksha look fine in their roles and render complete justice. The character artist who played Sumanth’s friend got a significant role as sidekick. Akanksha’s mother performed well, same with the artist who played as IT company employee.
Verdict:
All in all, ‘ Malli Raava ‘ is a failed attempt which showcases the story of two teenagers who get fall in love at a tender age and reunite after 13 years. Lead pair , background score , slight humor that occurs in an IT office are the only positives. The snail paced narration, unnecessary time sliced screenplay, lack of any commercial elements and Tele film-type production quality are the negatives.
On a whole , ‘ Malli Raava ‘ offers very little to audience.

Young actor Sumanth has been away from films for a while and most of his outings too bombed at the box-office. After a huge break, the actor tested his luck this year with Naruda Donaruda which has been badly rejected at the box-office.
