Tharun’s second film will be gripping road thriller

After making an impressive debut and winning a national award with Pelli Choopulu, a slice of life romantic drama, young and talented director Tharun Bhascker is set to explore a slightly different genre, which is least-explored in Tollywood, in his next outing which is going to be backed by Suresh Productions.

Reportedly, Tharun’s second film will be gripping road thriller which features an all-new cast. To be shot predominantly in Goa, the story is about a group of friends who go on a getaway to drive away the cobwebs and discover their inner self in the journey. The Pelli Choopulu director, after working on the script for nearly ten months, is ready to take the film on to the sets very soon.

The technical team which worked for Pelli Choopulu will reunite with Tharun Bhascker again for this film. More details about the project will be revealed very soon.

Tharun Bhascker created a sensation with his debut film Pelli Choopulu and the film went on to end up as a huge commercial hit among the small budget films. Tharun has been named as the new generation Sekhar Kammula for Tollywood and Vijay Devarakonda shot fame with the film. Almost after a year, the young director is back with a youthful romantic entertainer which will witness fresh faces. Veteran producer Suresh Babu has been impressed with the script.

The regular shoot of the film kick-started today in Hyderabad and will continue without any breaks. Though it was challenging, Tharun spent ample time to finalize the cast of the film which will witness fresh faces. The story will explore the journey of the lead actors and the entire shoot of the film will be wrapped up in 45 days. Vivek Sagar will compose the tunes for this untitled project.

Tharun Bhascker to direct Nikhil

Young director Tharun Bhascker created a huge sensation with his debut movie Pelli Choopulu. The movie ended up as a massive hit and it even grabbed many awards along with critical reception. Vijay Devarakonda and Ritu Verma played the lead roles in the film. Now Tharun Bhascker is all set for his second film and he narrated an interesting script to young actor Nikhil which impressed him. If things fall in place, the film will start rolling early next year informed a source.

On the other side, Nikhil too has been signing back to back films. He is preparing for his next in the direction of debutant Sharan Koppisetty and the movie is the remake of Kannada blockbuster Kirik Party. The movie is expected to start next month and Nikhil signed a film for top producer Tagore Madhu recently. The actor also gave his nod for the sequel of Karthikeya which will be helmed by Chandoo Mondeti.

Pelli Choopulu director faces backlash from NTR fans

It may be recalled that Pelli Choopulu director Tharun Bhascker openly condemned ‘IIFA’ for not rewarding small films. He publicly opined that small films are being ignored during most of the award functions and stated that stardom has overshadowed good cinema and talented technicians in Tollywood. These comments invited severe criticism from fans of star heroes.

Now, the young director is involved in yet another controversial issue. He is facing a severe backlash for his comments on NTR he made during a recent interview. It is heard that Tharun made humorous comments on NTR and the video has been clipped out and is being circulated as a propaganda against the actor.

Yesterday, Tharun took to Facebook to clarify on this issue. He said that he has utmost respect on NTR and has no intention whatsoever to comment on him. He also apologized to NTR and his fans for his comments.

But, NTR fans haven’t refrained from taking a dig at the director. They posted severe abuses in his Facebook page and also edited his Wikipedia page.

Responding on this severe backlash, Tharun said that he will give out an open apology to NTR and his fans through media. He pleaded fans to let the issue boil down.
