Jagan’s goal is to slain BCs while TDP always stands by them, says Atchen Naidu

0

With the formation of the TDP in 1982, a golden era has started for all the downtrodden sections of society in the State, observed the president of State unit of the TDP, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, on Saturday.

Addressing the media persons after releasing the book entitled ‘BC La Vennu Virustunna Jagan’ (Jagan breaking the back of BCs), Atchen Naidu said that the TDP has created various opportunities forward BCs financially, socially and politically. Whether in power or in Opposition, it is only the TDP that always stood by the downtrodden sections of society, he said.

However, the late chief minister, Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy family, which got economically strengthened after illegally occupying the mines of one Jinka Venkata Narasaiah, after murdering him, is now suppressing the BC community, Atchen Naidu remarked. Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who came to power by totally misleading the people, has started his wicked game to slain the BCs, he said.

After Jagan came to power 74 BCs were done to death while illegal cases have been foisted against 800 persons, including himself, Atchen Naidu observed. Over 3000 people are being subjected to various kinds of harassment, the TDP State unit president said, adding that when someone raises voice false cases are being foisted against such persons.

Calling upon the people to realise the fact that the weaker sections of society who are very strong in the TDP are being subjected to trouble by registering false cases at will, Atchen Naidu said that some modern infrastructure bought just before the 2019 elections was distributed to certain extent while the remaining could not be distributed due to election code. Now, Jagan who is not willing to distribute the remaining infrastructure to the BCs is claiming the community as ‘my BCs’, he added.

The late NT Rama Rao in his capacity as the chief minister of the State created 24 per cent reservation for BCs when there was no quota for the community, later Chandrababu Naidu, who succeeded NT Rama Rao increased the quota to 34 per cent, Atchen Naidu pointed out. Now, as Jagan brought down the reservation by 10 per cent 16,000 BC leaders lost various posts, he stated.

The Chandrababu government with a single GO established 175 residential schools when there were only 36 such institutions, he said that study circles were set up during the TDP regime and foreign studies too were encouraged. “I really feel pained when Jagan poses as if he has established the BC Corporation and the YSRCP leaders dance to his tunes,” Atchen Naidu remarked.

During the TDP regime either the chairman of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) or the Executive Officer (EO) would have been from the BC community, he said stating that Chandrababu has accorded highest priority for the community. But now, the Chief Minister is giving all posts for only those who belong to his own community, he said.

Despite the court order, Jagan has appointed his own community persons as advisors, Atchen Naidu said and felt that the caste census is aimed at only deleting the votes of BCs. Atchen Naidu felt that this Government is now on ventilator and the TDP will always stand by the BC community.

Jagan functioning as ‘target Chandrababu’, says Varla Ramaiah

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been functioning, making former chief minister and TDP supremo, Chandrababu Naidu, as his sole target, said TDP politburo member, Varla Ramaiah, on Friday.

Ramaiah told media persons at the party headquarters that Jagan’s is only aiming at sending Chandrababu Naidu to jail by filing false cases against him. “No other Chief Minister in the country has such a faction mentality,” he remarked.

Pointing out that till now not even single evidence has been produced in any case filed against Chandrababu, the TDP politburo member said that Chandrababu never commits any mistake and how such a leader can be jailed. Since Chandrababu is out of the jail now the YSRCP leaders are feeling completely annoyed, he added.

Jagan has been giving promotions to the officers who are targeting Chandrababu, the TDP politburo member said and stated that there might be some officers who toe the line of Jagan but the Chief Minister cannot take the judiciary for granted. Initially the ruling party leaders claimed Rs 3,000 cr corruption in Skill Development case, then brought it down to Rs 300 cr and finally to a mere Rs 27 cr, Ramaiah said and felt that by making such false allegations the ruling party leaders got totally humiliated.

The YSRCP leaders are making every effort to mislead the people by making allegations of corruption in the Inner Ring Road case in which not even a single rupee was spent, Ramaiah observed. Since Advocate General, Sriram, is not supporting these false cases foisted against Chandrababu he has been sidelined and thus the responsibility to argue for the Government has been passed on to Additional Advocate General, Ponnavolu Sudhakar Reddy, he said.

Ramaiah is of the opinion that Ponnavolu is a person who woefully lacks legal sanctity and thus he is simply toeing the line of Jagan to target Chandrababu. The Jagan Mohan Reddy Government is terrorising sincere officers while those who are supporting the false cases are being rewarded, he remarked.

The general practice is that the police officers do not file any case without evidence but in the case of Chandrababu they are registering false cases against him by either getting tempted to the offers of Jagan or maybe under serious threats, Ramaiah observed. He asked as to why Jagan is nursing a grudge against Chandrababu.

Jagan has been spending crores of rupees public money and misleading the judiciary to take revenge against Chandrababu, he said and felt that Jagan is also eligible for punishment for adopting such an attitude. Ramaiah warned the officers who are dancing to the tunes of Jagan of paying a heavy price in future and made a fervent appeal to the Chief Minister to work sincerely at least for these three or four months for the welfare of the people.

For these reasons we are calling Jagan as psycho, says Lokesh

0

“We have not named Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, as a psycho,” TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh, said here on Friday and stated that sitting inside the Secretariat building, which is constructed by the TDP in the people’s capital of Amaravathi, the Chief Minister says what is this capital.

Lokesh said that Jagan claims that he will convert Visakhapatnam as the capital and order for the release of the GOs through backdoors to shift the Government offices by managing the systems through the courts have issued clear directions. Jagan forcibly vacated the Millennium Towers built by the TDP government for the development of Information Technology (IT), Lokesh said in the statement.

“You are chasing away companies to the neighbouring States with which the State gets massive revenue resulting in lakhs of youth losing job opportunities,” he said. Destroying the Rishi Konda, Jagan has totally dismantled Kailasagiri, Lokesh said, adding that Visakhapatnam has completely been razed to ground. “What will you do sit on these ruins psycho Jagan,” Lokesh asked.

Lokesh said that Jagan is fit to be called a psycho as he is wasting thousands of crores of public money as the expiry date of his Government is only for three more months.

AP HC issues notices to Jagan on Raghurama petition

0

The Andhra Pradesh high court on Thursday issued notices to Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy and 40 others in response to a petition filed by Naraspur MP K Raghurama Krishnam Raju. The court wanted the respondents to give their reply at the earliest possible time.

Raghurama Krishnam Raju alleged that there are several financial irregularities in the direct benefit transfer programmes of the state government. He sought the high court to order for a CBI enquiry into the irregularities.

Arguing for the state government and the chief minister, advocate general S Sriram told the court that the petition was purely a political statement. The petitioner is politically against the chief minister, and it has no value to be considered for hearing.

He requested the court to reject the petition as it has a political motive behind it. He also told the court that the petitioner had been working against the chief minister and the state government for several years.

Arguing for the petitioner, a senior advocate told the court that the state government had destroyed some important files in various departments as the petition was filed in the court. The government was also destroying evidence to be given to the court in relation to the petition.

On hearing both the arguments, the high court directed the registry to issue notices to all the 41 persons including chief minister Jagan Mohan Reddy. The court posted the case for next hearing on December 14.

Jagan releases Rs 81 Cr for Shadi Tohfa, Kalyanamasthu,

0

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy released Rs 81.64 crore towards the fourth tranche of YSR Kalyanamasthu and YSR Shaadi Tohfa benefiting girls married during the quarter July-September 2023.

The Chief Minister said that the scheme aims at helping girls from the poor SC, ST, BC, minority communities, construction worker families and the disabled to pursue their education.

The amount, benefitting 10,511 couples, would be directly credited into the bank accounts of their mothers. So far, a total of Rs 348.84 crore was disbursed to 46,062 beneficiaries under the scheme. The state government has made Class X mandatory for the girls and their grooms to become eligible for the scheme and also fixed the marriage age limit for girls and boys as 18 and 21 respectively.

These conditions, coupled with other welfare schemes like Vidya Deevena, Vasathi Deevena and Amma Vodi, help the girls continue their education at the college level also besides avoiding child marriages, reducing drop-out rate and increasing the GRE (Gross Enrolment Ratio) in schools and colleges.

The Chief Minister said it is a matter of happiness that 8042 girls out of 10,511 beneficiaries have also received the benefits of Amma Vodi, Vasathi Deevena and Vidya Deevena indicating that majority of them are pursuing college education.

Reasserting that education is the only weapon that eliminates social ills like poverty and transforms the society into a dynamic one, the Chief Minister said that the Kalyanamasthu scheme also works as an additional factor towards this transformation.

He stated that while SC, ST, BC, and Minority beneficiaries got Rs 40,000, Rs 50,000, Rs 35,000, and Rs 50,000 each during TDP rule, the present Government has increased it to Rs 1,00,000, Rs 1,00,000 Rs 50,000 and Rs 1,00,000 respectively.

While the differently abled people and construction workers were promised Rs 1,00,000 and Rs 20,000 each in the TDP rule, they have been getting the enhanced benefits of Rs 1,50,000 and Rs. 40,000 respectively now.

Similarly, the incentives for SC, ST, and BC beneficiaries who opted for inter-caste marriage went up to Rs 1,20,000 from Rs 75,000 each, to Rs 1, 20,000 from Rs 75,000 each, and to Rs 75,000 from Rs 50,000 each respectively.

Jagan binamis totally violating norms, says Pattabhi

0

As part of ‘Jagananna looting guarantee’ scheme, Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been issuing guarantee letters for his henchmen much against the laid down norms, said TDP spokesperson, Kommareddy Pattabhiram, on Sunday.

While former chief minister and TDP national president, Chandrababu Naidu, is a leader who gives guarantee for the future of the people of the State, Jagan, who is a feudal, is giving guarantee to loot the assets of the State, Pattabhiram told media person.

As part of the Jagananna looting guarantee scheme, the Chief Minister is issuing guarantee letters for the contract companies and individuals of his choice to allow them to ransack the State, he remarked.

“Much against the laid down financial rules, Jagan is issuing the letters at will to the companies of his choice that payments will be made on a particular date in the coming financial year,” Pattabhi pointed out. Finance Minister, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, should answer how such letters are being issued to the companies and individuals after accepting hom much money as commission, he said.

As the elections to the Assembly are fast approaching, Jagan is inventing new schemes and the Jagananna looting scheme certainly falls in this category, Pattabhi remarked. The Megha Engineering, the PLR owned by Minister, Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy, who is known as the Punganur lord, are being issued the guarantee letters though they have not executed any kind of works, he added.

These letters are being issued with the details like the total amount to be paid to them and on which date in the coming financial year, Pattabhi said. Those who are obtaining such letters are approaching the banks to raise loans, submitting these letters that on a particular day they are going to get so much of amount from the Government, he stated.

The Megha Engineering, who are the contractors of the Polavaram project works, has already got seven such letters, the TDP national spokesman said and asked on what grounds these letters were issued to the Megha Engineering. Providing even the minute details on which date and for how much money these letters are issued before the media, Pattabhiram said that the Megha Engineering company which obtained these letters is not even executing the Polavaram project works.

Pointing out that not even four per cent of the Polavaram project works are completed in these four years, he said this reflects the fact how fast the company is executing the project works. Knowing pretty well that there are no chances of his coming back to power, Jagan is allowing his binamis to ransack the exchequer in the shape of such guarantee letters, he felt.

Pointing out that the State Government has permission to utilise the funds only till March 2024 as the budgetary proposals for 2024-25 have not been presented before the Assembly till now, Pattabhiram asked how the State Government can issue such letters that a particular amount can be paid on a particular date in the coming fiscal. Funds for the coming financial year have not been made department-wise and how one can issue such letters that payment will be made on a particular date from a department in the next financial year, he asked.

Pattabhi made it clear that issuing such letters is against the Business Rules and amounts to violation of the provisions of law. Though some senior officials have clearly mentioned this on the note file and some middle-rung officers have alerted the Government, Jagan, showing his dictatorial attitude, did not take them into consideration, the TDP national spokesman added.

Pattabhiram made an appeal to the people to realise these facts and to know that Jagan is out only to loot public funds as the Chief Minister is least bothered about the welfare of the people and the development of the State.

Jagan is A-1 in all assaults on Dalits, says Tenali Sravan

0

Former MLA and senior TDP leader, Tenali Sravan Kumar, on Saturday felt that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, is the accused number one in all the assaults on the Dalits in the State.

With the confidence that Jagan is behind them, the YSRCP leaders are resorting to various kinds of wicked and cruel actions against the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities, Sravan Kumar told media persons. The Chief Minister’s support is squarely responsible for this kind of violent activities against these communities, he added.

Sravan Kumar said that the police force should at least awaken now and take stringent action against the YSRCP leaders as per the laid down norms. The former MLA made an appeal to the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities to at least realise the fact now how Mr Jagan is taking them for granted and the inefficiency of the Ministers belonging to these communities.

Sravan Kumar is of the firm opinion that the Samajika Sadhikara Yatra (social empowerment yatra) is taken up only keeping in view the coming elections to the State Assembly but not to help to the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities. Over six lakh attacks are reported on Dalits from different parts of the State in these four years eight months rule of Jagan while 28 Dalits and 70 BCs have been mercilessly done to death besides thousands of atrocities on BCs, he said.

Despite several such inhuman attacks on the Dalits and BCs the police wing is remaining silent and is dancing to the tunes of the ruling dispensation, Sravan Kumar regretted. Is it not the authoritarianism of the ruling party leaders responsible for a Dalit youth, Bontha Mahendar, resorting to suicide in Dommeru village in the home constituency of Home Minister, Taneti Vanitha, he asked.

Mahendar was the supporter of Vanitha and when there is no security for the life of the supporters of the ruling party leaders one can easily imagine the condition of the normal people, Sravan Kumar said. Is it not with the support of the Chief Minister YSRCP MLC, Anantha Babu, killed his own driver, Subrahmanyam, and door-delivered the body to his family members, the TDP leader asked.

How the Home Minister, who could not save her own follower, can come for the rescue of others, Sravan Kumar asked. The less said the better about the Minister for Social Welfare, he said and pointed out that Jagan did not extend any financial assistance to the families of Dalits who died with electric shock in Prakasam district.

How the Dallit, BC and minorities Ministers who do not have self-respect, can come to the rescue of their own communities, Sravan Kumar remarked and pointed out that the chairman of the SC Corporation himself has admitted that he is the first victim of this Government. Sravan Kumar said that the Samajika Sadhikaratha yatra will in no way help the communities and the Chief Minister should allow the SC, ST, BC and minorities Ministers to function independently.

Jagan minting money through liquor sale, says Atchen Naidu

0

Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, who has termed his party’s 2019 election manifesto as Bible and promised to implement total prohibition in the State has turned the liquor sale for money spinning, said TDP State unit president, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, on Saturday.

Talking to media persons Atchen Naidu said that Jagan made the people believe that prohibition is one of the Navaratnas (nine diamonds) and through this diamond he made lakhs of crores in these four years. Why the Chief Minister, who said that his party’s manifesto is the Bible for him, has totally ignored it, Atchen Naidu asked.

The TDP State unit president felt that Jagan did not fulfil even 30 per cent of the promises made to the people of the State while the assurance given to the people on total prohibition is not only completely neglected but turned the liquor sale as a golden goose which is now playing with the lives of women. He is of the firm opinion that the liquor prices are not being revised as part of implementing prohibition but only to mint money and loot the people.

Atchen Naidu dared Jagan to reply as to why the liquor sales in the State have gone up compared to 2020-21 if at all prohibition is being partly implemented in the State as is being claimed by him. During Chandrababu Naidu’s five-year regime the total revenue on liquor sale was a mere Rs 50,000 cr while in four years after Mr Jagan came to power the revenue is a whopping Rs 2.10 lakh cr, Atchen Naidu pointed out as asked Jagan to respond on this.

“Jagan Mohan Reddy is the most inefficient Chief Minister in the country as he has raised a loan of Rs 30,000 cr by mortgaging the revenue on liquor for 15 years. No other Chief Minister in the country has done this,” the TDP State unit president stated. Jagan is solely behind the liquor manufacturing, supply and sale in the State, he remarked.

By encouraging his partymen to manufacture poor quality liquor and selling the same products at a very high price, the Chief Minister has literally taken away the lives of 35,000 poor people in the past four years, Atchen Naidu maintained. Also, another 35-lakh people who are addicted to liquor have been making rounds to the hospitals as they are suffering from some serious health problem or the other which is due to consumption of spurious liquor, he remarked.

Jagan is a blatant liar, and he never utters even a simple fact, Atchen Naidu said and added that to cover-up his inefficiency he is now passing the buck on TDP and its supremo, Chandrababu Naidu. Jagan, who accused the TDP regime of encouraging belt-shops, has started door-delivery of liquor after he became the Chief Minister, Atchen Naidu said.

On the public platforms the Chief Minister owns the SCs, STs, BCs and minorities as his own people but what he did behind the scenes is forcing them to fall victim to his atrocious activities like selling of spurious liquor. In fact, Dalits are the worst affected and are falling victim to the spurious liquor, he noted.

Making it clear that soon after the TDP is back in power judicial inquiry will be ordered into the liquor sale, Atchen Naidu said that the coming TDP government will ensure that quality liquor is available at reasonable prices besides imposing a ban on belt-shops. After the ongoing agitational programme of the TDP-Jana Sena combine on the poor condition of roads in the State is over details on the future course of action will be given, Atchen Naidu said.

Complete housing programme as per schedule, Jagan tells officials

0

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy directed the Housing Department to take steps to expedite construction of houses and constantly monitor the status of basic infrastructure in Jagananna colonies.

At a review meeting on Housing held at the Camp Office in Tadepalli on Thursday, the Chief Minister said that the official machinery should act in such a way that identified problems are solved immediately.

The officials informed the Chief Minister that 7.43 lakh houses in Jagananna colonies were handed over to beneficiaries in October and works relating to 5 lakh houses are in full swing and would be completed by February.

Basic facilities like water and power supply have been provided in all colonies where houses were handed over to beneficiaries while steps are on to provide magic soak-pits, they said.

Audits should be conducted on the houses for which construction has been completed in all respects to know the status of basic infrastructure like power supply, drinking water and soak-pits, the Chief Minister told them.

He asked them to focus on the management of TIDCO housing complexes and ensure that the beneficiaries’ associations are running efficiently by creating awareness among them.

This is necessary to see that the handed-over properties do not lose their quality and the surrounding ambience is hygienic, he said.

He was told that a loan of Rs 35,000 each was provided to 12,72,143 beneficiaries amounting to a total of Rs 4,483 crore on 25 paisa interest for construction of the houses. The Chief Minister asked them to be ready to pay the balance of interest on the loans provided so far.

Can Jagan publish white paper on funds spent for irrigation in 4 years, asks Devineni Uma

0

Former minister and senior TDP leader, Devineni Umamaheswara Rao, on Wednesday ridiculed the opening of the Varikepudisela irrigation scheme in Palnadu district by Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, earlier in the day.

TDP suppremo, Nara Chandrababu Naidu, during his tenure as the chief minister of the State has granted administrative sanction for the scheme, called for tenders and even appointed an agency to take up the project works, Umamaheswara Rao told media persons at the TDP headquarters here. It took 53 months for Jagan to get the clearance for 15 hectares of land and complete the project, the former minister said and felt that the Chief Minister is now deceiving the people as elections for the State Assembly are just three months away.

Devineni Uma presented a video before the media persons in which Jagan Mohan Reddy made certain remarks in 2019 while laying the foundation for the Kadapa Steel Plant. Jagan said at that time that “if coconut is broken six months before the elections it is called cheating while the same coconut is broken within six months of coming to power that is called commitment and this is the difference in administration.”

Now, Jagan should answer as to why he is breaking the coconut just three months before the elections, he asked. The Chief Minister, who has said that breaking a coconut when the term of the Government is coming to an end is nothing but cheating, should realise the fact that the script of the Almighty is hitting him back, Devineni Uma remarked.

Jagan is getting himself exposed by claiming that he has commitment, he added. As Chandrababu called for the tenders to complete the Vadikapudisela project, Jagan with mere political vendetta cancelled the tenders, he said and asked is this the commitment of Jagan.

Since the term of the current Government and Jagan are out in three months, he should clarify how he will complete the project in six months, Uma asked. As the State Government failed to pay Rs 3.5 cr for the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the drought relief schemes in Palnadu district, the agency stopped the works, he stated.

While Chandrababu during his tenure as the chief minister appointed the agency with an estimated cost of Rs 298 cr, now Jagan as if he has achieved something got the permission for Rs 308 cr, Devineni Uma said. Had Jagan allowed the same agency which Chandrababu has appointed, the project works would have been completed within two-and-half years and the Palnadu district would have got the irrigation water, he felt.

Observing that 440 mandals in the State are reeling under severe drought, Jagan is enjoying in the Tadepalle palace and is deriving vicious pleasure by ordering for registering false cases, Umamaheswara Rao said. “I am ready to present the details of the statistics for Rs 68,000 cr spent by Chandrababu for the irrigation sector,” he said and asked whether Jagan is ready to come out with the details on Rs 32,000 cr that he has been claiming to have spent on the irrigation sector in the past four-and-half years.

Also, Devineni Uma dared Jagan and Chief Secretary, Jawahar Reddy, to publish a white paper with all the details on lakhs of crore that he has been claiming to have released into the accounts of the people through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) scheme. The TDP senior leader strongly believes that if all the facts on the DBT scheme come to light Minister for Finance, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy, and the officials of the Finance Department will certainly go to jail.

CM Jagan launches Varikapudisela lift works for Palnadu

0

Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the works of Rs. 340.26 crore Varikapudisela Lift Irrigation Scheme that would make Palnadu area green.

Addressing a public meeting after unveiling the plaque at Macherla on Wednesday, Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the first phase of the scheme will provide drinking water to 20,000 people and irrigate 24, 900 acres in upland areas of Veldurthi, Uppalapadu, Gottipalla, Sirigiripadu, Bodilaveedu, Gangalakunta and Kandlakunta villages.

When the second phase is completed, the project would provide drinking water to more than 1 lakh people and irrigate more than 1.25 lakh acres, he said.

Though Nagarjuna Sagar Project is close to this place, Macherla area was neglected for decades. Former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu laid foundation stone for the lift irrigation project ahead of 2019 elections for political gains without obtaining clearances and acquiring land.

“In the last four years, we acquired land for the project and obtained clearances from National Board of Wildlife on May 19, 2023 and from the Union Forest and Environment Ministry on Nov 6, 2023,” he said, adding that the project will change for façade of Macherla area in the days to come.

He said 1.57 TMC of water would be ferried for irrigation and drinking purposes from the project at the rate of 281 cusecs of water daily.

The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment for the development of the Palnadu area in all respects and said that the Palanadu district was carved out aiming at decentralized development.

Government has spent Rs.8812.48 crore and Rs. 3087crore through DBT and non-DBT schemes in Palnadu district and the area is witnessing rapid progress with several works in the Education and Medical and Health Department being expedited under Nadu-Nedu.

In response to the appeals to the local MLA P. Ramakrishna Reddy, the Chief Minister agreed to upgrade the present 50-bed hospital here to 100-bed hospital and sanction funds for several development works.

Jagan Govt going for massive debts only to loot State: Yanamala

0

Former minister for Finance and TDP politburo member, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, is of the firm opinion that the State Government is raising large scale debts only to loot the State and the ruling party has already pushed Andhra Pradesh into severe financial crisis.

Ramakrsihnudu said that the State Government has not taken any corrective measures despite the Opposition parties having been sending warning signals for the past four years that the State is moving into classic debt trap. Minister for Finance, Buggana Rajendranath, without assessing the actual situation, has been uttering blatant lies, he stated.

Though organisations like the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) and the Credit Rating Information Services of India Limited (CRISIL) have been sending strong signals, the State Government has been resorting to a misinformation campaign, Ramakrishnudu said. The chief economist of Deutsche Bank, Kaushik Das, in his report submitted in August this year has made it clear that the State’s financial condition has fallen from eighth place to 11th while the CRISIL too has brought down the price of Amaravathi bonds on Friday with remarks that the State is now surviving on borrowings and overdrafts, Yanamala pointed out.

“This poor condition of the State is merely due to the looting of Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, and wastage of the funds,” Ramakrishnudu noted. The State Government is not revealing even to the CAG the details of the debts raised from various corporations with government guarantee and also how much the State is utilising from the public accounts, he added.

After the State’s formation never such conspiratorial statistics have been witnessed and the YSRCP Government is shamelessly publicising through books on gross domestic product, per capita income and the debt burden, the former minister for Finance felt. The growth rate achieved during the TDP regime was totally manipulated to display a better growth rate during 2019-20, he said.

While releasing the economic survey for 2018-19 fiscal, the gross domestic product (GDP) was displayed as 11.02 per cent with Rs 6,80,332 cr but in the 2019-20 economic survey the GDP is reduced to Rs 6,21,301 cr which amounts to only 4.45 per cent, he pointed out. The whole country, including the State, recorded a negative growth rate due to Covid pandemic but the YSRCP Government is projecting that the State stood in third position in fish export worth Rs 40,000 cr, Yanamala said.

Observing that there is no response from the State Government though it has been demanded that a white paper be published on the economic condition of the State and for the invitation for an open debate, Ramakrishnudu said and added that the SC, ST, BC and minority communities are the worst-hit with this atrocious rule of the YSRCP.

To repay the debts and the interest funds are being diverted and the prices of all commodities are hiked steeply thus doing great injustice to all sections. The common man has lost the purchasing power and there is no development whatsoever in the State in the past four years, Ramakrishnudu maintained.

Stating that due to the faulty policies of the Jagan Reddy Government each SC, ST, BC and minority family has a financial burden of Rs 2,79,136, Ramakrishnudu said and maintained that the Jagan gang is trying to grab 14 lakh acres of assigned lands.

AP Govt committed for Minority welfare, says Jagan

0

Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said that the Government has spent Rs 23,175 crore for minority welfare through DBT and non-DBT schemes out of the Rs 2, 40, 000 crore incurred on various welfare schemes in the last 53 months.

While there was not a single Muslim Minister during the previous TDP rule, there are four Muslim MLAs and four MLCs as law makers, he said, adding that one of the Deputy Chief Ministers and Deputy Chairperson of the Legislative Council are from Minorities.

He said ours is the only Government that has been implementing different welfare programmes for minorities with empathy and made a Law for giving 50 per cent of the nominated posts to SC, ST, BC and minorities.

“Ours is the only Government which has issued orders for protecting the properties of Wakf Board and Churches, which has been paying monthly honorarium of Rs. 10,000 each to imams and Rs 5,000 each to mouzams and pastors and which is implementing sub-plan for minorities,” he said, adding that Government has also introduced Urdu as second language in schools besides arranging Haj Yatra from Vijayawada.

Along with SC, ST, BC communities, minorities are also reaping the benefits of various welfare schemes and YSR Kalyanamasthu Shaadi Tohfa has also helped Muslim girls pursue education.

The Chief Minister was felicitated by the minority leaders after he gave away the Life Time Achievement and other Awards for 2023 for Muslim scholars.

While Dr SA Sattar Saheb (Kadapa district) was presented the Moulana Azad National award, Baba Frakruddin (Annamayya district) and Dr Patan Karimulla (Chittoor district) received the Dr Abdul Haq award.

He made me a cabinet minister, and under his leadership, all women can find several opportunities,” encouraging women voters to support the party for their families’ betterment.

He highlighted the significant opportunities given by CM Jagan’s government to BC, SC, ST, and minority communities, leading the state towards development under his reformative leadership.

He further lamented the insulting language used by Chandrababu Naidu against BCs and urged people to remember that Chandrababu Naidu is a BC drohi and they should remember this while voting in the upcoming elections. Additionally, Minister Gummanuru Jayaram drew a sharp contrast and highlighted that CM Jagan has uplifted 139 BC communities in the last four and a half years. ‘People should remember that the YSRCP govt has maintained a dual focus on welfare and development and has attracted several industries to the state. CM Jagan not only brought development but also provided social and economic benefits for SC, ST, and BC communities,’ he remarked.

Besides, MLC Kumbharavi Babu questioned TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu over embezzlement of Rs. 6 lakh crore during his tenure. He went on to question Naidu’s involvement in the skill development scam for which he is being investigated.

Highlighting CM Jagan’s support for the children of the minority community and the improvement in education and healthcare facilities, he stated, “We should note the difference between healthcare opportunities under Chandrababu Naidu’s tenure and under CM Jagan’s leadership. CM Jagan has transformed government schools and hospitals.” He urged voters to support CM Jagan’s vision for the future and bring him back with a majority government in the upcoming elections.

Regretting that Chief Minister, Jagan Mohan Reddy, has fast turned Andhra Pradesh into a violent State, TDP general secretary, Nara Lokesh, on Tuesday said that the Chief Minister is adopting a completely vengeful attitude towards the Opposition parties.

Lokesh, the president of the State unit of the TDP, Kinjerapu Atchen Naidu, and others called on the Governor to submit a letter detailing the prevailing situation in the State. Talking to the media at Raj Bhavan after completing the 45-minute-long meeting with the Governor, Lokesh said that they have informed the Governor that false cases are being foisted against their party supremo and former chief minister Chandrababu.

“We also explained to the Governor how Jana Sena chief Pawan Kalyan was prevented from entering Andhra Pradesh,” he said. Stating that the Governor is briefed that 260 cases have been registered against the TDP leaders, Lokesh said that they also informed him how the downtrodden sections of society are being harassed.

Also, the attacks on the judiciary and how Chandrababu has been arrested without taking into consideration the Section 17-A of the CrPC, are brought to the notice of the Governor, Lokesh added. Making it clear that he will never get scared of anyone, Lokesh said that the people are now ready to wage a war against this ‘unruly’ Government.

Lokesh meets Governor, complaints against Jagan govt

0

TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh on Tuesday met Governor Justice S Abdul Nazeer and lodged a complaint with him against the state government. He alleged that the state government was booking false cases against the TDP leaders including former chief minister and TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu.

Lokesh, coming out of the Raj Bhavan, told media persons that this government had filed over 60,000 cases on the TDP leaders across the state. He alleged that chief minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy was working with a single motive of targeting the political rivals. This government is working with political vendetta, Lokesh said.

Stating that he is not scared of cases, Lokesh reiterated that he would fight against all odds and come back to power in the state. He emphasised the need to defeat Jagan Mohan Reddy in the coming elections.

Earlier, in a letter submitted to the AP Governor, Lokesh expressed concern that democracy in Andhra Pradesh has been on a downward spiral since Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed leadership of the state. He stated that Jagan Reddy consistently shows disregard for the constitution, democracy, and the rule of law. Lokesh emphasized that the Jagan Reddy regime has openly targeted Leader of the Opposition, N Chandrababu Naidu, who remains the most prominent voice in public resistance against oppression and mis-governance affecting the 5 crore people of Andhra Pradesh. He also mentioned that the ‘Rogue Regime’ attempted to disrupt his foot march, “Yuva Galam,” through various physical attacks and false police cases.

Lokesh’s letter to the Governor disclosed that the regime had targeted numerous senior leaders and countless workers of the Telugu Desam Party. He pointed out that one TDP leader, JC Prabhakar Reddy, is facing nearly 70 cases, while State Party President K. Atchannaidu has been in police custody for varying periods without valid charges.

Lokesh also noted that TDP Chief Chandrababu Naidu was falsely charged and arrested in gross violation of Section 17 (A) of the Prevention of Corruption Act in the alleged Skill Development case.

After the meeting with the Governor, Lokesh spoke to the media and stated that they had informed him about the state’s conditions. He revealed that over 260 cases have been filed against TDP senior leaders, with 60,000 cases registered against TDP activists and sympathizers during Jagan’s regime.

Furthermore, the TDP General Secretary informed the AP Governor about Pawan Kalyan being prevented from entering the state and the injustices faced by Amarnath Goud, Shyam Kumar, and Misbah. Nara Lokesh stressed that the Governor bears the responsibility of upholding the constitution in Andhra Pradesh and requested his intervention in preserving the constitution in the state.
