Veena stated that her interaction with the MLA began in June 2024 through social media. She said the initial communication went on smooth and respectable. Over time, she alleged, the tone changed. According to her, the MLA began exerting pressure to meet in person and warned her of professional consequences if she refused. She claimed he used his political position to intimidate her and restrict her choices.

Veena described July 9 as the most traumatic phase of the episode. She alleged that she was forcibly taken to an isolated location and sexually assaulted.
