Guru release date

Star hero Victory Venkatesh’s sports drama Guru, which is the remake of Hindi – Tamil blockbuster Irudhi Suttru, was supposed to hit the screens in December last year. But,things didn’t work out and the makers have pushed it to January. Again, due to various reasons, the film’s release was postponed and it has been scheduled to release in Summer.

Confirming the release date, the makers have announced that the Guru will arrive on April 7th. Venkatesh will be seen as a boxing coach who trains a lady boxer to see his dream come through with her. Venky looks all beefed in a rugged avatar for his role and his transformation has become a talking point ever since the trailers and posters were out. The recently released song, which marks Venky’s singing debut, gained good traction among audience.

Directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad, the sports drama has Rithika Singh reprising her role from the original. Y NOT studios is the production house behind this film.
