Conngress leader Sonia Gandhi attacked BJP and lambasted Modi at a rally and stated that, “BJP is crossing limits of dignity to retain power”. She also indirectly referred the tactics deployed by BJP during elections. She even made a statement that there are many doubts emerging on entire electoral process, indirectly referring the allegations of EVM tampering.
After election results, it’s her first public address. She was visiting her constituency to thank those who voted for her. In this rally at her constituency, she fumed at BJP and Modi. It is known news that, in 2019 Lok Sabha polls, BJP won 303 seats on its own and 352 seats with its NDA allies, while Congress got only 52 seats. Reacting on the defeat, she told, “All types of tactics were adopted by BJP to woo voters. Everyone in this country knows whether it was moral or immoral of whatever happened in the elections”.
She made some cryptic comments and the analysts believe that she was indirectly referring to EVM tampering and other such EVM related malpractice. She said, “In the past few years, many types of doubts have emerged regarding our electoral process.” It is known news that, many leading opposition parties in several states kept round-the-clock vigils over EVM storage rooms fearing EVM malpractices by ruling BJP or the parties that are allied to BJP.
We have to wait and see how will BJP react to her comments.
