Kannada actor Yash emerged as the biggest star of the country after the release of KGF: Chapter 2. The actor has rejected hundreds of scripts and he finally picked up Toxic, a film set in Goa about drug mafia. The film’s release was pushed several times and there are no regular updates about the project. But there are a number of speculations frequently about the delays and reshoots. The film’s leading lady Kiara Advani has completed her part and she is on a maternity break.
The biggest speculation about Toxic is that Yash is not convinced with the work of director Geethu Mohandas and he is ghost-directing the project. The team is tight-lipped though there are a lot of speculations. The makers too have spent more than double the planned budget. KVN Productions, the production house floated by Venkata Narayana garu, a tycoon in real estate and he owns the construction firm Prestige Group. The makers are financially very strong and they are not much bothered about the heaped budget. If it had been any other producer, Toxic would have landed in a huge financial mess.
Speculations started after Yash rejected several films after the huge success of KGF: Chapter 2. Yash also demanded big remuneration and he also holds a major share in the profits for Toxic. KVN accepted the demands but Yash could not have control on the budget. For now, the makers announced that Toxic will release in March 2026.
