AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s immediate priority is to divert the attention of the public from the Opposition attacks on his government’s failures in both welfare and development sectors. His biggest challenge is to counter the mounting attacks by Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan Kalyan. Already, Jagan Team has launched targetted attacks aiming to create confusion in the TDP MLAs and also to malign personal character of Pawan Kalyan. As part of this, YCP leaders launched serious efforts to harass and win over three to four TDP MLAs. It looks very difficult because of Jagan Reddy’s doubtful future in the face of BJP’s increasing anti-YCP stand and also illegal assets CBI cases. Amid this, YCP Circar is harassing TDP MLAs with raids on their businesses. TDP MLAs from Prakasam district Gottipati Ravikumar, Yeluru Sambasiva Rao and Dola Veeranjaneya Swamy are facing lot of YCP harassment. At the same time, YCP is spreading rumours that it will get Naidu’s Opposition leader status and privileges removed.
On the other hand, YCP Ministers are launching personal attacks on Pawan whenever he attacks the government on people’s issues. Understandably, Pawan is embarrassing Jagan Circar on burning issues like rising onion prices, suicides of construction workers, etc. But Ministers raise Pawan’s marriages. Now, bigger challenge before Naidu-Pawan duo is how to counter Jagan mind games in coming days.
