YSRCP MLA knocks court doors after TDP drops criminal cases

0

Mangalagiri YSR Congress Party MLA Alla RamaKrishna Reddy filed a petition in Hyderabad high Court questioning the move of Government of Andhra Pradesh dropping criminal cases against its leaders. He requested the court to declare the action by GoAP as “illegal” as it has no supreme power to revoke the severe cases.

The petitioner moved to court challenging the Government Orders withdrawing cases against 23 TDP leaders. In his petition, RamaKrishna said that the GOs were issued selectively and held that the move by GoAP shows the poor administration of criminal justice system.

It may be recalled that the TDP government in a controversial move dropped as many as 23 criminal cases related to elections offences, assault and murder against its party leaders. The cases against the turncoats from YSRCP were also withdrawn.

RamaKrishna submitted that the bigoted approach of the government will eventually result in the collapse of the constitutional machinery.
