Telugu students were attacked in Karnataka on Saturday. Kannada community leaders blocked Telugu job seekers who went to write bank examinations at Hubli. They reportedly tore the hall tickets of the students at the exam centers. Tense situation was witnessed and soon police intervened and impeded leaders of Kannada communities.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that such attacks on Telugu students will not be tolerated and if needed he might talk to the Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah. He reportedly said they will reach out to Central government and ensure that appropriate action is taken.

On the orders of the CM, Principal Secretary Satish Chandra spoke to Karnataka PS and requested protection for Telugu students for the exams scheduled in the next two days.
