Too many high hopes, too many disappointments. It is acceptable for a few to express dissatisfaction over the cabinet reshuffle, but it was never as intense as it is now. The anger went to an extent that TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu said that if anyone is unhappy they should talk to him directly instead of showcasing bad behavior. He said that winning 2019 elections is their goal and it is not possible to inducted anymore ministers.

The melt down of the ministers post the cabinet expansion is a clear indicator that the Chief minister’s word is no longer final for the cadre.

Sudheer Reddy, son of Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy who had resigned as MLA after being dropped as minister, expressed discontent and revealed that his father’s health was fine. Five-time MLA from Ponnur, Dhulipalla Narendra Kumar is outraged over the denial.

Vijayawada Central MLA Bonda Umamaheswara Rao despite being pacified by the Chief Minister, has been sulking. Another Senior MLA from Rajahmundry Rural, Gorantla Butchaiah Chowdary’s resignation from the TDP state general secretary position took everyone by surprise.

Neither Butchaiah nor Bonda were listed in the candidates to be considered in the cabinet. The most anticipated elimination Ravel Kishore babu also seemed to be displeased.

Attar Chand Basha and Jaleel Khan, joined the party from YSRC hoping to join the cabinet. But Naidu ignored their community as such. In fact Chand Basha was replaced at the last moment by Pithani

Two women legislatures were dropped and only one Akhila Priya has been inducted. MLA Anita also expressed her unhappiness on not being inducted in the cabinet.

In addition to these, they are also three of the four MLAs protested openly and wanted to resign. The dissatisfaction among these ministers will remain even though the chief minister claims to have distributed the ministries equally. Chandrababu further said that even though few had the required qualifications, but he couldn’t accommodate them against the rules. He added that he will not tolerate people who are looking for personal benefits instead of party. Chandrababu clearly stated that for the welfare of the party he can go to any extent.
