The Delhi High Court has passed an ex parte ad interim injunction restraining the AI-generated film that is made on Akira Nandan. The court said that the AI film will exploit the images, name, voice and persona of Akira Nandan. Akira is the son of top Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan. Sambhawaami Studios LLP and others are asked to halt the unauthorized use of Akira Nandan and his identity in the film which is titled ‘AI Love Story’. Akira Nandan has recently approached the Delhi High Court about his personality and privacy rights.

AI Love Story has presented Akira Nandan as the lead actor and the film was made without his consent. The film used advanced AI morphing and deepfake technology. The film’s Telugu and English versions are uploaded on YouTube. The Delhi Court has examined multiple visuals that are generated on AI and they have revealed the decision. The Court also directed social-media intermediaries, including Meta Platforms to take down the content published.
