Hyderabad on high alert following hostility with Pakistan

Hyderabad: Following tense situation prevailed over Line of Control (LoC) between India and Pakistan, the Indian Army has tightened security in various Army areas located in Hyderabad on Friday.

Army Ordinance Centre (AOC) Gate along the road leading to Safilguda in Malkagiri and other cantonments across the city were alerted. The Army officials are giving permission to the vehicles which have Army pass to the restricted areas. Other vehicles are being diverted to other routes.

Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Shamshabad is also on high alert following attacks between both the countries. The government roped in CISF and Octopus forces to conduct checks at various locations in the city.

Following inputs from the intelligence there might be terrorist attacks, total of nine major cities in the country are put on high alert.

Directing the security force to be on high alert, Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Thursday reviewed security arrangements along the border with Pakistan.
