Former chief political correspondent Kantu Agasthya will join the TV9 news group as Regional political correspondent on wednesday.He wrote in a blog post, “Now, I embark on another exciting chapter as Regional political correspondent with India’s largest TV news network, the TV9 group, from the 6th july. I always wanted a beautiful journalism experience,so now to be part of this journalistic-driven institution is a privilege.”
In an internal memo, TV9 CEO Ravi Praskash stated, “As a start, Agasthya will be doing a political interviews for the channel and contributing to the revamp of the Channel and its alignment with digital.”
Mr.Kantu Agasthya added in his blog, “In these challenging times, one lives on the hope that the true core of this great profession will not be lost: that we will tell the story of our times with courage and commitment. It was with that sense of idealism that I joined this profession. I might be young, but the deep idealism always burns inside me.”
He told The telugu 360 that he has not officially joined TV9 group yet and declined to comment on what his exact role would be. “I will be dealing with political content but to what extent is not clear,” He replied.
Mr. Agasthya kantu quit HMTV news, in April after there is a frequent change of the editorial board in the organization.
