Telugu Desham Party(TDP) Member of Parliament of Vijayawada Kesineni Srinivas also known as Nani made controversial comments about ally Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He was critical about alliance with BJP and said that contesting with them in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections fetched only 75000 votes majority for him. Further he held that if TDP alone contested in the elections, they would have got around 125000 majority. He was confident that in the next elections in 2019 TDP will win with a huge majority around 3lakhs in his parliamentary constituency.
Addressing a meeting of Vijayawada Urban Committee elections, the leader expressed his disgruntlement about the saffron party and alleged that the party participated in cross voting of 18000 votes. He said that TDP will contest alone in local elections. Post the Jagan-Modi meet, aloofness between TDP and BJP is clearly seen. Even Union Minister Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said that at the time of elections only BJP will deliberate about forming alliance with TDP.
