Chiranjeevi’s Khaidhi No 150 pre-release business

Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidhi No150 is red hot in trade circles. The film is doing solid business in all areas. We have already reported that overseas rights were sold for 13.5 Cr . Now, it is exclusively learnt that the distributor has failed to make the advance payment, and the deal got cancelled. Close sources revealed that another longtime distributor has come forward to snap the rights for the same price.

Meanwhile, the AP & Telangana business has opened recently and Vizag area has already been sold for 7.7 Cr. This is the highest price for any film paid in that area till date. We have also learnt that V.Celluloids has secured the rights of Guntur area for 6.3 Cr which is also a record price. For the remaining areas like East, west, Krishna & Nellore, the producer is quoting 5.7, 5, 5 & 3.2 Cr respectively,  which means the entire Andhra business will touch 33 Cr (Approx). Including Ceeded & Telangana, the total Telugu States business should be more than 60Cr.

With over 60cr inside Telugu States & around 20cr from outisde (Overseas, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and North India), the much awaited Megastar film is aiming at 80 Cr theatrical pre business. Including other expenses of the distributors, the overall business will be  over 84 cr, and for the distributors to rake profits, the film should surpass the worldwide  share of Srimanthudu, which is all time top second in the list of top grossing films in Tollywood. 

Directed by VV Vinayak, Khaidi No 150 is set for Sankranthi release. Kajal Aggarwal is the female lead and Devi Sri Prasad is rendering the soundtrack.
