When politicians indulge in accusations against each other, then there will be no exceptions including food habits. It happens with BJP national president Amit Shah’s comment that the TRS is serving beef biryani to the MIM of Asaduddin Owaisi. He makes this comment to say the TRS is adopting minority muslim appeasement beyond a limit that is causing harm to other sections of society there.
Maybe, this is one way of Amit Shah’s strategy to polarise Hindu vote and strengthen the BJP. But his comment has certainly irked and disturbed MP Asaduddin Owaisi who asked who has any right to comment on the food habits others though the BJP party may not accept biryani as part of its culture. The MIM has openly asked its activists and sympathisers among Muslims to reject the BJP and the Congress in the present election. The MIM leaders are extending support to the TRS in all segments where their party has not fielded its candidates and the support is being reciprocated by KCR party.
On this, Owaisi has said the TRS has promised there will be no tie-up with the BJP under any circumstances and this assurance is given by both KCR and KTR. The MIM was once a friendly party to the Congress in the past when it considered as an ‘f’ team among the many allies of Congress. Now, the MIM sees itself as fortunate enough to become a ‘b’ team among the TRS allies. Going by this growth, the MIM is also hoping to become ‘a’ team in future when the party may snatch power in Telangana. Owaisi is sparing no effort to defend his party’s support and understanding with the TRS.
