East and West Godavari districts are crucial for the Jana Sena Party. If it could win one single seat in the 2019 assembly elections, it was in the Godavari area only. As such, the Pawan Kalyan party is taking greater interest in the issues relating to this area. And, the Divi industries issue has come as a big chance for it to question the Jagan regime.
Now, Jana Sena is asking why the YCP leaders are not able to give any clarification on the Divi pharma industry in the Godavari districts. Before the elections, Jagan Reddy had said that Divi was a benami of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. But now, the YCP is promoting Divi without any principles or scruples.
The Jana Sena leaders are demanding CM Jagan to explain what links it has now with the Divi industries if this management was a benami of Chandrababu Naidu during the TDP regime. Even, this industry was getting the same support and patronage from the Government. Jagan Reddy has cancelled Anna Canteens, Pelli Kanuka and other TDP programmes but he has retained the Divi industries.
One more question being asked by critics is why the YCP is not cancelling the Divi project even though it belongs to the same caste that CM Jagan has been targetting since the 2019 election.
Whatever, the Jana Sena stand is giving sleepless nights to the YCP leaders in the Godavari districts.
