Petrochemical corridor to come up at Kakinada SEZ

Petrochemical corridor spread across 2000 acres will soon come up in Kakinada Special Economic Zone. Andhra Pradesh state government during the Sunrise AP meet signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GAIL and HPCL.

Collector Kartikeya Mishra reportedly said that required infrastructure facilities will be provided. He also said that the area has been identified to setup the corridor on priority basis in KSEZ.

For transporting the heavy equipment, one of the highways either NH5 or NH216 will be developed. Water will be sourced using the gravity or through pumping from Polavaram Left main canal. GAIL in association with HPCL will be working on the project.
