The Telangana High Court has given clear instructions to apply for the ticket hike and other special permissions for Telugu films 90 days prior to the film’s release. There is no such headache in AP and the government is granting permissions for all the films. The new rule in Telangana is a big headache for all the upcoming movies. For most of the films, the release dates are finalized one month in advance and there would be a reshuffle of release dates because of the last-minute delays or to avoid clashes.
All the summer films will now be impacted and it would be tough for them to get the GO as per the new guidelines issued by the Telangana High Court. Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambara, Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh, Ram Charan’s Peddi, Nani’s The Paradise, Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma, Adivi Sesh’s Dacoit, Varun Tej’s Korean Kanakaraju, Sai Dharam Tej’s SYG, Nikhil’s Swayambhu, Akhil’s Lenin, Sharwanand’s Biker, Ravi Teja’s next film, Bellamkonda Sreenivas’ Tyson Naidu are expected to release in summer but the exact dates of these films are yet to be locked for now.
The new rule in Telangana is going to be a big headache for the producers. We have to wait to see if changes will be done or if it would be implemented on a strict note in Telangana.
