Bellamkonda Srinivas is all set to make a grand debut in Bollywood with a remake of Rajamouli- Prabhas’s Chathrapathi. The Hindi remake is directed by VV Vinayak and the makers going to release it in Bollywood with the same title. Makers released the teaser today and the film is releasing with huge expectations. The teaser hinted that the film is a high grandeur actioner.

Hindi Chanthrapathi is a duplicate version of the Telugu one. VV Vinayak has copied every scene mostly. The teaser is gripping and Bellamkonda Sreenivas with his hulk body turned out to be the apt option in Prabhas’ role. Dr Jayatilal Gada of Pen Studios is producing the film. The jaw-dropping stunts and emotional story might impress the Hindi audience too.

Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli’s ‘Chatrapathi’ wraps up shooting

The official Hindi remake of SS Rajamouli’s Telugu blockbuster ‘Chatrapathi’ is all set for its nationwide release. The film produced by Dr Jayantilal Gada under Pen Studios marks the big Bollywood debut of Sreenivas Bellamkonda and was launched by SS Rajamouli in Hyderabad as he inaugurated the mahurat of the film.

Starring ‘Bahubali’ fame Prabhas, the Telugu action-drama ‘Chatrapathi’ was filled with emotion and took audiences through the exploitation faced by immigrants who come to India from the places far away and live without any official identity.

The Hindi remake directed by VV Vinayak starring Sreenivas Bellamkonda, that has been mounted on a massive scale and shot extensively on grand sets in Hyderabad has finally wrapped up its shoot and is gearing for its nationwide release.

While details are under wraps at the moment, sources in the unit say that the makers will be making a big announcement soon.

The Hindi version was launched in July 2021 with SS Rajamouli giving the muhurat shot clap.

While Sreenivas Bellamkonda will reprise Prabhas’ role in the action-drama, the makers have kept the identity of the female lead under wraps and an announcement is expected shortly.

Buzz: Chatrapathi Remake in Trouble?

Bellamkonda Sreenivas is done with the shoot of his first Hindi film which happens to be the remake of the Telugu blockbuster film Chatrapathi. VV Vinayak directed this film that is made on a big-budget. Pen Studios backed this film and the production house inked a three film deal with Bellamkonda Sreenivas. The final copy of Chatrapathi remake is ready but the makers are yet to take the final call on the release. Not a single promotional content nor the title of the film is announced. The film is carrying no buzz and the makers feel that it would be a tough plan to promote the film across the country and release it in theatres.

The Hindi theatrical release plans of Chatrapathi remake are kept aside. The non-theatrical deals are closed. The makers are chalking out alternate plans for the film. A direct OTT release too is considered. For now, Pen Studios is not ready to shell out huge money for the promotions and the theatrical release which would cost atleast Rs 20 crores more. Bellamkonda Sreenivas is also yet to announce his next Telugu film.
