Boards in Nizamabad to mock BJP MP over ‘Turmeric Board’ promise

0

“Turmeric Board. This is what the board our honourable MP has brought”, read yellow colour boards which have come up in Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency in a unique protest by turmeric farmers over the failed promise of BJP MP Arvind Dharmapuri to set up a Turmeric Noard there.

Two days after the Centre categorically told the Parliament that there is no proposal to establish a Turmeric Board or any other spice-specific Board in the country, hoardings and posters mocking the Nizamabad MP and BJP for their failed promise have come up in the constituency.

The farmers are reminding the BJP MP of his promise that he will get the Turmeric Board within 5 days of winning the election. He had failed to get the board in 4.5 years.

Dharmapuri had even assured farmers that he would resign from his position in Parliament and join the farmer’s and people’s campaign if he couldn’t keep his word.

The BJP leader, who had defeated BRS leader and Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavitha in 2019 polls, had made the promise in writing and even signed it with a non-judicial (bond) stamp. His associates printed copies of the pledge and distributed them throughout the turmeric-growing regions of the Nizamabad Lok Sabha constituency.

Senior BJP leaders who supported the pledge included Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel had told Parliament on Wednesday that there is no proposal to establish a Turmeric Board or any other spice-specific Board in the country.

She was replying to a question raised by BRS MPs Venkatesh Netha Borlakunta, Kavitha Malothu, Dayakar Pasunoori, and Gaddam Ranjith Reddy in Lok Sabha on the constraints that the Centre was facing to set up the Turmeric Board in Nizamabad.

K. Kavitha, former MP and now BRS MLC, had questioned Dharmapuri about his promises to bring the Turmeric Board to the district in the year 2022. Kavitha made the observation that he had been unsuccessful in convincing the Union government to set up a turmeric board in the district.

In light of disclosures produced using an RTI, Kavitha asked the BJP Nizamabad MP the justification for denying the farmers and people of Nizamabad their basic dues. She also said that the MP was making exaggerated claims about the allocation of Rs 100 crore when, under his administration, every farmer only received Rs 200 from the Turmeric Board.

Kavitha recalled Dharmapuri and the BJP’s lofty but erroneous promises to the Nizamabad people to just win an election and tamper with their hopes and needs.

Why has Dharmapuri Arvind fallen silent suddenly?

1

Till a few months ago, he was all over the face. His strong attacks on KCR and the ruling TRS ad evoked strong reaction. Laced with sarcasm and wit, he used to take on the TRS will all force. Soon, he earned a strong support base among the youths in the state. Yes. We are talking about Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind.

Post the Graduate MLC elections he has completely fallen silent. The strong criticism is gone and Arvind is confined to his constituency. Sources say he became silent after Eatala Rajender entered the party. Though Arvind has strongly supported Eatala’s entry into the party and gave some press interviews welcoming him, he has later fallen silent. He is not coming out in defence of the BJP at every opportunity.

Some say that consecutive defeats in the Graduate MLC elections and Nagarjunasagar have dampened his spirits. There was also a strong criticism of his claims that TRS leaders, including KCR , would go to jail once the BJP comes to power, proved counter-productive. This criticism has actually evoked sympathy for KCR, they argue. So, party’s thinking heads have reportedly advised both D Arvind and Bandi Sanjay to tone down their personal criticism.

There are doubts whether he could actively campaign in Huzurabad bypolls. Sources close to D Arvind say that he might campaign only if he gets an invite. Arvind also reportedly doesn’t see an important role for himself in Huzurabad. It would be an out-and-out Eatala Rajender show, he reportedly feels. Hence he is said to be keeping a low profile.

MP Aravind insults and belittles Pawan and Jana Sena

1

BJP’s firebrand MP Dharmapuri Aravind walked into a political controversy yet again. This time, he passed ultimate comments against Power Star and Jana Senani Pawan Kalyan himself. During a TV interview, Aravind straightaway said that the BJP had no alliance with anybody including Jana Sena. The BJP can win and sweep the GHMC elections and also the next Telangana Assembly elections singlehandedly.
The BJP MP went to say that it was Pawan Kalyan who made a statement to support the BJP candidates. Pawan is just like any other leader who got attracted to the dynamic leadership of PM Modi. Nothing else. There is no alliance and no need for an alliance with the Jana Sena.
Stunned and shocked at these insults from the MP today and from Prakash Raj yesterday, the BJP Telangana incharge Nemuri Sankar Goud issued a prompt statement demanding apologies from the BJP leader.
Sankar Gound pointed out that it was only after Kishan Reddy and K. Laxman met and requested for Pawan Kalyan support that the Jana Sena began campaigning for the BJP. In fact, the Jana Sena prepared to field over candidates in 60 divisions. Some of them even filed nominations but withdrew the same after the BJP made a request not to divide the votes.

BJP MP asks officials to expedite investigation on “TV9 Rameshwar Rao”

0

Dharmapuri Arvind, current Member of Parliament in the Lok Sabha from Nizamabad, Telangana requested Delhi officials to expedite the investigation on TV9 Rameshwar Rao alias ‘My home Rameshwar Rao’. There have been increasing allegations on Rameshwar Rao in recent times from the leaders of Congress and BJP. The allegations are mainly related to the irregularities by his organisation in mining, and violating various rules related to real estate.

BJP MP Dharmapuri Aravind posted in his social media handle regarding this. He posted, “In the wake of instructions from Ministry of Home Affairs to carry out investigation on Dr.Rameshwar Rao’s ‘My Home’ group irregularities in Mining, I had a meeting with Shri Anil kumar jain, Secretary(IAS), Ministry of Mines & Coal and Shri Satyendra kumar, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Mines.

Surprised at the scale of ‘My Home’ group’s management of two government’s of Telugu states in reporting false information to the center and causing loss of hundreds of crores to the exchequers, the officers said the investigation on the group’s irregularities in mining will be furthered without delay”.

We need to wait and see whether the officials will expedite the investigation as requested or take this easy as another political allegation.
