“Raja the great” movie is releasing this week. Yesterday audio function of the movie held successfully. During this function, Dil Raju revealed about the advice he gave to director Anil Ravipudi.

Actually “Raja the great” is third movie for director Anil Ravipudi. His first movie was ” Patas” with Kalyan Ram and it was a good hit. In fact movie got unanimous hit talk on day one. His second movie ” Supreme” also big hit. That is actually biggest hit till date in Sai Dharam Tej career. But this movie did not get unanimous hit talk on day one. Dil Raju told Anil was confused for first one week whether ” Supreme” movie is hit or not. On 8th day after release of the movie, Anil came and asked Dil Raju why there’s this mixed talk. It is then Dil Raju gave this advice to Anil.

He advised young director to prepare a story with completely novel point. Then only there will be unanimous hit talk on day one. So Anil took the advice seriously and came up with this story. In Telugu, where formula based commercial films rule the industry, story based on blind hero is definitely a novel point. No Telugu hero of this generation acted in a completely blind role through out the movie recently.

We have to wait and see whether Dil Raju advice will fetch unanimous hit movie to Anil or not. “Raja the great” movie is releasing on 18th October.

Film industry is full of surprises. Especially when it comes to casting, there are several instances where one hero rejects a film and then it goes to another hero and he gets break through with that movie.

During ” Raja the great” movie audio function, producer revealed a secret. Dil Raju revealed that he initially offered his “Arya” movie to Raviteja only. But he rejected that citing the reason that he may not suit the role perfectly. Later, as Dil Raju revealed, that character was offered to Nithiin and he also rejected it. Same with Prabhas too. Finally it went to Allu Arjun and rest is the history.

Dil Raju also explained the reason for revealing this now. He told ” Raja the great” also offered to some other heroes and they rejected it. Though Dil Raju did not reveal their names, he was all praise for Raviteja as he accepted this role of blind character instantly.

Breaking : Dil raju’s Bharateeyudu 2 called off?

Bharateeyudu-2 was announced recently in the combo of Shankar, Dil Raju and Kamal. Now some breaking news coming from inside circles that the project has been put-off before the starting itself.

In fact everyone was surprised to see Dil Raju taking up such huge project as he has never done such high budget movies in the past. Moreover, Dil Raju’s production style also different than other Shankar’s previous producers. Unlike Shankar’s previous producers, Dil Raju takes care of the complete project instead of just being a cashier.

Now Dil Raju did estimates of the project and decided it is not going to work out. Mainly, remunerations have skyrocketed. It seems, For Kamal Hassan it will be 40 crores, for Shankar 75 crores. In addition, AM Ratnam, producer of Bharateeyudu 2 decades back, is asking for partnership or royalty which will amount to around 25 crs. Just these three remunerations are coming to 140 crs. And, before the launch of the movie itself, Dil Raju has to give 60-70 crs as advances.

By looking at the complete picture, it seems Dil Raju wants to shelve the project. Official confirmation is awaited.

It is official that Mahesh Babu is all set to work with director Vamshi Paidipally. The movie is set in the backdrop of USA and will start rolling during the first half of 2018. Top producer Dil Raju is joining hands with veteran producer Vyjayanthi Movies for this untitled project. Devi Sri Prasad has been roped in to compose the music and he will wrap up all his current commitments soon to work for Mahesh’s project.

Dil Raju along with Devi Sri Prasad and Vamshi Paidipally will fly to USA on October 15th for the music sittings. The duo is said to stay in USA for a month during which the locations too will be finalized. The duo is waiting for the pre-release event of Ravi Teja’s Raja the Great which is bankrolled by Dil Raju. This time Raju will be missing the release of his film and will be busy with the music sittings of Mahesh’s film in USA. The female lead is yet to be finalized and names like Pooja Hegde, Rakul Preet Singh and Shruti Haasan are being considered for the movie.

Young Tiger NTR is riding high with the back to back hits and the actor is tasting the much needed break after a huge gap. The actor is spending time with his family and will fly to a vacation of October 20th to Europe. The actor signed his next film in the direction of Trivikram Srinivas who is occupied with Pawan Kalyan’s Agnatavaasi which will release during Sankranthi 2018. Trivikram need to work on the scripts and the project may kick-start from summer next year.

There are talks that Tarak may work with a young director during this six months and the project will be bankrolled by Dil Raju. Tarak is not in a mood to take a long break and he may wrap up the project if the film will be shot in packed schedules without breaks. Tarak will also meet Trivikram after returning back from his vacation and will take a call accordingly.

Mahesh Babu’s 25th movie, to be directed by Vamsi Paidipally and produced by Dil Raju will go to the floors soon. It seems, there has been intense lobbying going on for the heroine role in this movie.

Previously there were rumors that SPYder Rakul Preet will be repeated with Mahesh Babu despite the result of that movie. But there were also rumors on Dil Raju repeating her previous movie DJ’s heroine Pooja hegde. In fact, Pooja hegde name was considered seriously for the role in Mahesh Babu’s 25th movie (#Mahesh25).

But later came a twist, when Shruthi hassan had met Dil Raju few days ago. Mahesh Babu’s last hit was Srimanthudu movie and it had Shruti playing lead role. Moreover, she worked with Vamsi Paidipally and Dil Raju combo movie “Yevadu”. She is considered lucky mascot for all the three – Mahesh, Dil Raju and Vamsi. While all this was going on, Namrata, wife of Mahesh Babu, suggested name of a Bollywood heroine for this movie.

Currently director Vamsi paidipally is in USA and will return India soon. Once he returns heroine will b finalized for this prestigious movie.

The ace producer is quite happy with the way his films have performed and he is all set for his next film Raja the Great. The movie is all set for Diwali release and is helmed by Anil Ravipudi. The movie marks the comeback of Ravi Teja and the makers released the theatrical trailer of the film.

“We scored four back to back blockbusters and I compare each one of my film as one ball. We scored four boundaries this year and Raja the Great is our fifth boundary. I watched the entire film couple of days back and I am very confident on the film’s success. Raja the Great will break the sentiments of Diwali and every year big films will release during this season. I congratulate Ravi Teja and Anil Ravipudi for their efforts. We are scoring our sixth blockbuster with Nani’s MCA in December” revealed Raju.

Raja the Great features Ravi Teja as a blindman and the trailer has been receiving exceptional response. Mehreen is the female lead and the movie has been aimed for Diwali release.

Dil Raju is enjoying complete monopoly in Nizam. Currently, no movie can release in Nizam without his consent. For lot of big movies, dates are confirmed byDil Raju. Even if someone else buys a movie, they still have to release though Dil Raju. Asian is only other competitor, but they are very selective in buying movies. UV is particularly dissatisfied by theaters giving to their recent movie Mahavubhavudu in Nizam. UV is already strong in Andhra and Ceded and they are seriously contemplating entering to Nizam. However, the only challenge is most of theaters are already under lease with either Raju or Asian. so they have to focus on new theaters or theaters coming out of lease.

Industry is also cheering for a new entrant in Nizam as it reduces monopoly and they will have more options, going forward..

Popular producer Dil Raju scored massive hits in Tollywood is known for his judgement and script selection. He never hesitates to chop off the episodes or reshoot his films if he is not impressed with the work. Recently Sai Dharamtej’s Jawaan was shot again because of which the film’s release got delayed. The film which has been announced for September release will be hitting the screens in November. Raju is said to have not been happy with the second half of his next production Raja the Great which has been directed by Anil Ravipudi.

Raju asked Anil Ravipudi to reshoot some of the episodes and he will take a call on the release date soon after watching those episodes. Ravi Teja, the lead actor will be seen as a blind man in the film and Mehreen played the heroine. The makers are in plans to release the film on October 18th during Diwali. Dasaradh clarifies on Mr Perfect Plagiarism Issue

Directed by Dasaradh, Mr Perfect released in 2011 and emerged as one of the biggest hits of the year. Prabhas Kaja and Taapsee played the lead roles while Dil Raju bankrolled the project. Novelist Shyamala Rani accused the team of Mr Perfect of stealing the plot from her novel ‘Na Manasu Korindi Ninne’. A case has been registered against the team after se approached Miyapur court. The film’s director Dasaradh stepped out with a proof that he penned the script and registered it in 2009 which is even before her novel got published.

Dasaradh revealed that he wanted to clarify about the issue after his close friends have advised him. The Telugu Cine Writers Association too clarified that the script of Mr Perfect has been registered on February 19th 2009. Dasaradh clarified that it was 18 months before the release of her novel, the script got registered. He even said that he got a nod from Prabhas during December 2008 while he was shooting for Billa in Malaysia. Despite of explaining all these, Shyamala Rani registered a case and Dasaradh called it unfortunate.

Complaint lodged against Producer Dil Raju for plagiarizing Mr.Perfect

A case has been registered against prominent producer Dil Raju in Madhapur police station Hyderabad regarding his movie Mr. Perfect by Novelist Shyamala Rani.

She accused the producer of plagiarizing her novel “Na manasu korindi Nine” and producing Mr. Perfect movie.

Police have registered a case against Dil Raju under Section 120 A, 415, 420 Section 63 of Copyright Act. They will be questioning the producer in this regard.

Mr. Perfect is a 2011 Rom-Com flick starring Prabhas, Kajal Agarwaland Taapsee Pannu in the lead roles directed by Dasaradh Kondapalli and Produced by Dil Raju.

After the success of director Satish Vegesna’s ‘Shathamanam Bhavathi’, a Dil Raju production venture which also won a prestigious National Film Award, curiosity piqued over the director’s next project. Going by the latest development, Tarak may do this film.

In the success meets of SB, Dil Raju announced that he would be producing Vegesna’s next film, which will be another family entertainer relying on values and emotions. Later, it came out that the film was titled ‘Srinivasa Kalyanam’. Sai Dharam Tej’s name was first heard as the probable hero to play the lead role. Dil Raju later thought of roping in a star hero to widen the film’s reach and approached Ram Charan.

The Mega hero was interested to do the project but as he would be just completing ‘Rangasthalam’, a village-based entertainer, he didn’t want to do a similar film. Now, Dil Raju has finally knocked the door of NTR with the proposal of Srinivasa Kalyanam. He offered fancy remuneration to the star hero to sign him. If Tarak gives his green signal, this family entertainer will be his immediate next project after Trivikram’s film.

In fact, NTR wanted to reunite with Koratala following Trivikram’s film. Koratala however will be busy with Ram Charan’s film, which will go on floors in the summer next year, after he was done with ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. Hence, NTR is still looking for a worthy follow up to Trivikram’s film. Will Srinivasa Kalyanam be that film?

Tarak hasn’t done a family entertainer post Brindavanam, which was also a Dil Raju production venture.

Veteran filmmaker Dil Raju has been occupied with number of projects and the ace producer recently completed 25 films in his career. The ace producer has been lauded for his judgement skills and his recent production Fidaa has been declared as one of the biggest blockbuster this year if we consider the budget and the collections. The 50 days event has been celebrated last night in Hyderabad in a star hotel. The entire cast, crew attended the event to celebrate the success.

Dil Raju who is known for his cost cutting acts was not in a mood to pay hefty amount for an anchor to host the event. He himself hosted the event in style with his speech after which shields have been distributed for the actors and technicians.When asked about why there wasn’t an anchor , he reportedly comment ” Anchor endukandi , malli 25,000 bokka “. Dil Raju during his recent interviews and media interactions revealed that he is quite keen on cost cutting and no one bothers when his film loses its investment. The recent 50 days event without host made many fingers point towards Dil Raju that his cost cutting process reached peaks.

‘Fidaa’ Overseas Profit Loss Statement

Sekhar Kammula’s directorial film FIDAA starring Varun Tej , debutante Sai Pallavi was released on July 21st 2017, became one of the biggest hits at the overseas Box-office. Produced by Dil Raju, Fidaa has collected $2,058,419 to become 6th highest grosser of All-time in USA. Fidaa was one of very few movies where all involved parties made good money.

Fidaa has collected a distributor share of $1,151,973 i.e. 7.37 crores INR in USA from 131 locations. From Non-USA market, it has fetched another 30 lakhs INR, to make it a total distributor share of 7.67 crores in overseas

Profit Loss Calculation:

After expenses deduction, Fidaa’s overseas share stands at 7 Crores. As the movie was sold for 4 crores , it has fetched 3 crores profit. Out of the profits, 1.25 Crores went to the distributor , remaining 1.75 crores to the local exhibitors as per the profit sharing model.

The money each group will bring home :

FIDAA had fetched  13.18 crore rupees [ $2,058,419 Gross]  as theatrical ticket sales in USA.

Varun Tej starrer Fidaa is unstoppable at the box office even ten days after its release. The film is raking in decent moolah in its second week despite the release of other films. In Telugu states, Fidaa is inching closer towards the 40 Crore club.

Extending its dream run in overseas, the romantic drama is close to $ 1.7 Million mark and is at a touching distance to some of the blockbuster hits like Attarintiki Daredi and Janatha Garage. The film collected $ 27K and $ 50K ( counting) on its second Monday and Tuesday respectively and surpassed the lifetime run of Balakrishna’s GPSK. Fidaa is now the third highest grosser of 2017 in overseas after Baahubali 2 and Khaidi No 150.

Going by its strong run, trade circles are predicting that the film is most likely to end in the all time top 6 highest grossing Telugu films in overseas.

2016 sleeper hit Pelli Choopulu had a sensational run after second Tuesday and collected $ 440K. If Fidaa manages a similar feat at the box office after its second Tuesday, chances are likely that the film will collect close to $ 2 M – $2.1 M in its full run.

Comedian turned actor Sunil failed to taste success in the recent years. A series of debacles left his future projects in confusion and his movies have been badly rejected because of the poor content. Now his next movie Ungarala Rambabu has been announced for release but it failed to hit the screens from the past couple of months. Sensible director Kranthi Madhav directed the film and the trailer made no impact.

With no buyers, it is quite difficult for the film to hit the screens and the makers are holding talks with top producer and distributor Dil Raju to bail out the film. Dil Raju will be watching the film soon after which he will take a call. The makers are in plans to release Ungarala Rambabu on August 18th all over. United Movies bankrolled the project and Miya George played the female lead. Dil Raju distributed the earlier films of United Movies in Nizam territory.
