Ex Chief Secretary IYR Krishna criticised Chandrababu Naidu and supported Jaganmohan Reddy prior to the 2019 AP elections. But, ever since LV Subrahmanyam was ill-treated by Jagan Reddy, IRY became a bitter critic of the YCP. Now, IYR is taking objection to the Jagan regime’s revised cost estimates on Polavaram project.
IYR reminded Jagan Reddy how he and his party leaders said before the elections that the revised costs of Polavaram were aimed at benefitting the then ruling TDP leaders. Strangely enough, the YCP Government was requesting the Centre for approving similar revised estimates. Of this, over Rs. 33,000 Cr was asked only for the land acquisition and the R&R.
IYR asked the Chief Minister whether he was proving his own past allegations false by seeking approval for such a huge R&R package. Obviously, the YCP leaders were also trying to take benefits out of such a heavy package.
The ex CS gave a piece of advice to the Chief Minister, saying that he should give an explanation to the public before going ahead further on the Polavaram R&R package.

IYR asks if sharing political satires is criminal mistake?
Brahmin Corporation Chairman IYR KrishnaRao wanted to know what worst can happen if a he shares political satires against the ruling party on social media. The answer from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is being sacked from the chairmanship.
Speaking at a press conference after the government removed him as chairman of the Brahmin Corporation, IYR conveyed that he did neither got a call from the Chief Minister nor the CMO seeking an explanation or informing about his termination. The Former Chief Secretary said that he was unable to get Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s appointment from the last six months.
Recalling the arrest of social media satirist Inturi Ravikiran, IYR said that it is unjust to file criminal case just for a political satire. He noted that all those anti-TDP shares on his Facebook were done when Ravikiran was arrested and said that the government is unable to take even a satire on them. The retired IAS officer pointed fingers at MPs Kesineni Nani and J C Diwakar Reddy who speak recklessly about many things and create turmoil.
He cleared the air that is not going to sing praises for TDP. IYR said that in Andhra Pradesh people are deprived of facts. He said Vaartha used to be an unbiased paper, however now there is no such media house to convey truth to the public. The former CS advised the media to concentrate on delivering actualities to people.
He asserted that he stands by his views on tax exemption for Gautami Putra Satakarani and allowing more shows of Baahubali2. IYR rubbished the allegations of working for the benefit of YSRCP beneficiaries and held that Brahmin beneficiaries are not associated with parties. He emphasized that his aim was to run the Brahmin Corporation properly. He held that TDP district coordinators responsible if YSRCP MLA’s are getting information regarding the meetings of corporation. If TDP coordinators are giving information to YCP, he said people should understand what’s going on in TDP
IYR said that he requested the chairmanship and has never done deceitful things. The former CS said he did not draw remuneration being chairman of the Brahmin Corporation. He cleared the air that he has no intention to participate in the direct elections. IYR said that he is not disgruntled with the decision of government to sack him and hoped that the responsibility will be given to a reliable person.
IYR Krishnarao fired for sharing anti-TDP posts on Facebook
Andhra Pradesh Chairman of Brahmin Welfare Corporation Ippagunta Yasodhara Rama Krishnarao drew flak from Telugu Desham Party leaders over his postings on social media. Consequently, IYR has been dropped from the chairmanship.
The first Chief Secretary after the bifurcation of the state, IYR retired last year. Chandrababu Naidu setup Brahmin corporation with 100crore rupees fund to help poor Brahmins and bestowed the nominated post to IYR. The post is said to be equivalent to a ministerial post.The TDP leaders complained against him and demanded his termination from Brahmin corporation.
Chandrababu on Tuesday heard IYR’s account on sharing anti-TDP posts on Facebook and was certainly dissatisfied with his vindication. Also, Chief Minister has expressed fury over the behaviour of the retired IAS officer.
However, speculations are rife that IYR is unhappy over being blessed with the chairmanship which he considers is not worth his level and wants to build rapport with Opposition leader Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The former CS shared postings against Chandrababu and TDP which were allegedly put up by YSRCP on social media. He even posted against Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna’s movie Gautami Putra Satakarani. It may be noted that TDP has become vigilant about such postings and has consequently detained people.
