Rename TS-CM’s farm house as KCR Jyothishyalayam : K S Jawahar

0

Andhra Pradesh Minister of Excise, KS Jawahar suggested to rename the farm house of Telangana Chief Minister as “KCR jyothishyalayam”. He said that the K. Chandrasekhar Rao instead of working on his administration in TS, is speaking about their neighbouring state.

This comes as a reaction to TRS supremo’s analysis that more voters are in favour of the opposition YSR Congress Party in AP. KCR said in New Delhi on Thursday that the YSRCP has 45 per cent support of the voters while the ruling TDP has 43 per cent vote share which created flutter in the AP TDP cadre.

These comments have increased the pressure on the top leaders of the ruling part as they have to pacify the party cadre who are worried. Nonetheless the leaders feel that it is all about mind-game to confuse the people.

KCR said that Andhra Pradesh cannot expect to be free from the caste politics in the near future. So, Jawahar blamed Jagan for creating turmoil between castes. He said that Jagan and Mudragadda Padmanabam are instigating Manda Krishna Madiga.

TDP leader Buddha Venkanna alleged that KCR and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy have reached some hidden understanding.

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Friday reviewed the details on the contentious Drugs case along with the senior officials. The meeting reviewed the proceedings of the case and the next steps to be taken in the drug racket exposed in Hyderabad. Key people have been identified in the case. The details of the peddlers and that of the drug addicts has been established.

KCR said that individuals of the Telugu film industry were found using narcotics. Cases will be filed against celebrities who are involved in selling and supplying of drugs. He said that it is unfair to say that the government has targeted the film industry. It was reported that 12 people from the film fraternity were allegedly using narcotics.

Using drugs is not a criminal offence, but narcotic business is a crime. He made it clear that the criminals would be punished and the victims will not be shamed.

CM KCR has announced Rs 1 lakh reward for anyone who provides information on Drugs and Gudumba in the state. He said the use of drugs in Telangana is not high. KCR: Will Pawan Kalyan get votes by merely waving his hand?

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Thursday commented on political developments in Andhra Pradesh. Speaking about Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, KCR said that the actor-cum-politician will not be able to emerge as a political force to reckon in the near future.

KCR said that Kapu community will play a significant role in the 2019 elections. However he said that Kalyan who hails from the same community will not be able to fetch votes. He asked, “Will Pawan Kalyan get votes by merely waving his hand at the crowds?”

The TRS supremo held that a political party should have a mass appeal to be effective. He said that a persona like Megastar Chiranjeevi could not run a party and preferred to reduce his burden by dissolving the Praja Rajyam party. He hinted that JanaSena would follow the footsteps of PRP.

Indirectly referring to Kalyan’s unmoved attitude, KCR said that any person must be ready to fight, strive towards achieving the goal. He said that he ran TRS for 14years and had participated in several movements

KCR said that Telangana politics is free from the influence of caste while Andhra Pradesh is still under the clutches of caste-based- politics. He said that AP cannot free itself from the grasps of caste anytime soon.

KCR predicts Jagan’s win, CBN’s Cash for vote scam is not closed

0

With images of BJP’s conquest in India being shared widely on Social Media, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao predicted that the chances are grim for the saffron party to strengthen its base Telangana, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. He said that BJP in Andhra Pradesh will be projecting a Kapu leader to get their support especially due to fewer Muslims. He said that Kapus would emerge as a strong political force 2019 general elections in AP

KCR speaking to the media prior to leaving New Delhi on Thursday said that as per the survey shared by his friend, YSR Congress Party has the support of 45 per cent voters in Andhra Pradesh, while the ruling Telugu Desham Party has 43 per cent. He said that Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena will get either 1 percent or 1.5percent and BJP will come to around 2.6 per cent.

The Chief Minister said that the Cash for Vote case involving AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has not been closed. He alleged that he was successful in thwarting the conspiracy being hatched to impose President’s rule in Telangana as soon as TRS came to power. He said the plots to foil continued till MLC polls in 2015. He said that he successfully retorted to such attempts and ensured that the Andhra politicians fled to Amaravati.

However, the Chief Minister stated that Telangana had no major conflicts with AP but hoped that both states draw coordinate on sharing Godavari and Krishna river waters. KCR held that all the misgivings among the natives of Andhra residing in Telangana were dispelled by his government.

0

The delimitation of assembly constituencies in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is not going to happen anytime soon. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who met Prime Minister Narendra Modi disclosed that the Centre is not in favour of increasing assembly seats in Telugu speaking states.

KCR said that he did mention about hiking the seats but the PM replied that it will not happen. He said that there will be no impact on his government if the seats are increased or not. The TRS supremo further added that increase AP exerts pressure and gets the hike, then TS will also ensure to get it.

The CM requested the PM’s mediation to secure President’s assent for the Muslims and STs reservation bill. He requested immediate bifurcation of the High Court. Modi assured that the transfer of defence lands – Bison polo grounds to TS govt will be done soon, so that the new secretariat can come up.

KCR meets Modi, seeks increase in assembly seats

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday in New Delhi. The CM discussed important issues related to the state with the PM. One of the central point of the discussion was to increase the assembly seats in the state.

It may be noted that the bill regarding delimitation of constituencies in the Telugu speaking states was not in the agenda for Monsoon sessions of Parliament. Consequently, both the CMs of the AP and TS are lobbying for increasing the number of seats.

Rajnath Singh on Tuesday informed the CMs individually that the approval of BJP President Amit Shah and PM Modi is required to go ahead with the delimitation.

KCR and Modi also discussed about protected lands and funds for backward areas.

Earlier in the day the TRS supremo met NDA Vice Presidential nominee Venkaiah Naidu. He affirmed that Venkaiah will win the elections and congratulated him.

KCR also met Union Minister Arun Jaitley and discussed on issues related to the state, economy and defence. MPs Jitender Reddy, Vinod and advisor Rajiv Sharma were present during the meeting.

Uttam flays Sircilla MLA KTR’s silence over torture of Dalits

0

TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy on Monday said that they will be staging a protest on 31July in Rajanna-Sircilla condemning the atrocities against Dalits and Backward Castes by the Telangana Police officials. He said that there is no place for human rights in the TRS government’s rule.

Speaking at meeting in Gandhi Bhavan, he said that the Sircilla incident is a disgrace to the society. He accused KTR’s relative’s involvement in the sand mafia and said that the Sircilla police are behaving at their will. He questioned that if the government has no involvement, why has it not yet taken any action against the police officers yet.

It may be noted that a 60-year-old Bhumaiah, was killed in an accident by a speeding lorry at Ramachandrapuram in Thangallapalli mandal. As many as 4people were reportedly killed in just one month by the lorries carrying sand due to rash driving. The death of Bhumaiah a native of Narella and an ST(Errukala) on 2July added fuel to the fire. A large number of villagers congregated and set ablaze the lorry carrying sand illegally. During the remonstration, police personnel who wanted to pacify the protestors were reportedly injured.

Two days after the incident on the night of 4July, police detained eight accused who participated in the incident. The accused Penta Banaiah, Gandham Gopal, Chepyala Bala Raju, Kola Harish, Pasula Eshwar Kumar, Cheekoti Srinivas, Korukanti Ganesh and Bathula Mahesh belonged to Nerella, Jillela and Ramachandrapur villages. Police officials not only registered three false cases under IPC 307 against the victims, but also allegedly shifted them to a secret location and beat them black and blue. The victims reportedly underwent a third-degree torture for five days.

The opposition party Congress alleged that the victims were tortured so dreadfully that even the Jailor refused to admit them, instead referred them to the hospital. BJP and TPCC said that Rajanna-Sircilla SP Vishwajit Kampati threatened the victims not to testify before the magistrate. In case otherwise he terrorized them that they would register brothel and ganja smuggling cases against the women in their households.

As per the opposition party leader, both the villages are panic struck and there is a “fear of life and liberty”. Uttam tweeted that “the youth between 18 to 40 years have not returned to village till date due to fear of police – their torture & implication in false cases.”

BJP and Congress have been asking that the State government to suspend SP Vishwajit, CCS sub-inspector B Ravinder and 18 other police constables. Uttam demanded that cases against the victims be withdrawn and cases be filed under Section 307, SC/ST Atrocities Prevention Act and other relevant sections against the police. He also necessitated the State Government to order a probe into the incident through a sitting judge of High Court.

The DGP allegedly failed to respond to the complaint lodge, so they have approached the State Human Rights Commission.
The local MLA K T Rama Rao who represents Sircilla neither visited the village nor responded on the incident. Reportedly, the MPs and TRS Dalit legislators did not make it react either.

Uttam Kumar has penned an open letter to Chief Minister K Chandra shekar Rao demanding action.

Politicians kin on Drug dealer’s list

0

The key accused in the Hyderabad Drugs case, Calvin Mascarenhas, has revealed that the kin of political leaders of both Telugu states played a major role in the menace. Excise SIT probed Calvin on Sunday who revealed that he had distributed drugs to politicians’ children through mediators.

Apart from the sons of four-five ministers in the Telugu states, the children of MLAs, MLCs, the district party presidents and corporation Chairmen have been reportedly taking drugs. Some of them are fully addicted to drugs. Calvin and team would supply drugs in Rave parties at the resorts in the city suburbs and in Rangareddy Moinabad, Shamshabad, Medchal, Sameerpet and Ghatkasar areas. His contact list and Whatsapp Groups exposed the names of the off springs of prominent political leaders.

Calvin had an advocate alongside during the probe, however, the lawyer was allegedly asked to leave the room while revealing the names to keep it confidential on Sunday. Based on the information provided by the accused, officials will issue notices and the kids of the politicians are expected to be prosecuted.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao instructed officials to intensify the investigation. On the other hand, the central government reportedly focused on Drugs’ menace in Hyderabad. It is known that Union Minister Bandaru Dattatreya had discussions with the officials and collected the details on the drug dealings.

Excise officials are going aggressively to expose the drug menace as the government intends to make Hyderabad “drug free city”.

Telangana MLA misbehaves with woman collector, draws CM’s ire

0

A legislator of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) on Wednesday allegedly misbehaved with a woman collector of Mahabubabad district, drawing the ire of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, who directed him to apologise to her.

Shankar Naik, a member of the Telangana state legislative assembly, allegedly misbehaved with Preeti Meena during a tree plantation programme in the district.

Images telecast on Telugu television channels show the MLA touching the collector’s arm.

The MLA’s behaviour triggered strong protest by the government employees including the subordinate staff of the collector. They threatened to go on strike if no action was taken against the MLA.

Employees of the revenue department staged a protest by wearing black badges. “If this can happen to a collector, what is the safety of ordinary employees,” asked one of the protestors.

Feeling offended by the MLA’s behaviour, the collector complained to Chief Secretary S.P. Singh, who in turn informed the Chief Minister.

Rao took serious note of the incident and asked Shankar Naik to personally meet the collector and tender an unconditional apology.

According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, he expressed anger at Naik’s rash behaviour towards the collector. “He took the MLA to task for his misbehaviour. The CM expressed his regrets and anguish over the incident.”

He warned the MLA that if he does not change his behaviour he would be suspended from the party.

Rao has also asked Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari and MP Sitaram Naik to speak to the collector and settle the matter on behalf of the government and TRS. He said that such incidents should not occur again.

Meanwhile, Naik clarified that there were many people attending the programme and he did not touch her intentionally. He said Preeti Meena was like his sister.

KCR launches Haritha Haram III in Karimnagar

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao formally launched the third phase of Haritha Haram programme in Karimnagar today with an aim to plant over 40 crore saplings. KCR planted a mahogany sapling at Lower Manair Dam along with Finance Minister Etela Rajender.

Minister of IT K T Rama Rao planted saplings at Botanical Gardens along with Home Minister Nayani Narsimha Reddy in Hyderabad. KTR asked the opposition parties to participate in the program.

Despite KCR’s call for ‘one day one lakh saplings’, the authorities decided to plant 15000 saplings today in Karimnagar with 10,000 students planting along the shores of the LMD reservoir with the CM, while another 5,000 plantlets would be rooted in all the 50 municipal divisions.

The government has set a target to plant 230 crore saplings by 2019 as part of flagship programme Telangana Ku Haritha Haram. As much as Rs 1,700 crore was spent so far. However, only 16 crore saplings were planted in 2015-16, in the following year 2016-17, another 31 crore saplings were rooted. This year the government is planning to plant 40 crore saplings.

Figures don’t add up, so KCR refused to talk to Meira Kumar

Huge pink hoardings in Hyderabad welcomed NDA Presidential candidate Ram Nath Kovind. UPA Presidential Nominee Meira Kumar visited Hyderabad on Tuesday and sought support from the local leaders. Chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao refused to give an appointment to Kumar despite trying several times. TRS announced support for NDA’s presidential nominee but there is hardly any detriment in meeting Kumar, who was the speaker when the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization bill was passed in the Parliament.

KCR vehemently snubbed her and even avoided telephonic conversation, which is discourteous towards the first women Lok Sabha Speaker. Leaders have been circumventing her. If citizens meted out same treatment to the leaders who conduct door-to-door campaign during parliamentary and assembly elections, it will ease the burden on Election Commission. The action only proves that politics is eventually a numbers game and opportuneness and no longer about experience and services.

However, dynamics of politics is fluctuating. It may be recalled that Neelam Sanjeeva Reddy who once lost the presidential election but later won it unanimously. Kumar will be defeated in the numbers game, but questioning her candidacy and eschewing her is incongruous.

Former Lok Sabha speaker Kumar said, “Wherever I go, people tell me that I do not have the numbers. If I do not have the numbers, why don’t you round up the figures and declare the results? Why have the elections.”

Out of the fourteen Presidential elections, only in the seventh poll, Reddy won unopposed, due to the sudden death of serving President Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed. Also 36 candidates of the 37 who filed nominations were disqualified. Even in the very first election in 1952 Dr Rajendra Prasad defeated his nearest rival KT Shah with a margin of one lakh votes. In democracy competition is inevitable. The election also enlightens the winning candidate about the degree of opposition.

As per the constitution of India, a citizen qualifies to contest in Presidential elections upon completion of 35 years of age, and is eligible to become a member of Lok Sabha, without holding office of profit either at Center or states.

People have been targeting Congress for fielding a candidate with Dalit background. A law graduate, Kumar joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1973 and served at embassies in Spain, United Kingdom and Mauritius. She hails from a political family especially with her father Babu Jagjivan Ram being former deputy prime minister who is also prominent Dalit rights activist.

It is vicious that a woman competing for the highest post of the Indian democracy has to face denigrators more than her rival.

While 37 MLAs expended between 25-50% funds, 65 MLAs spent about 50-75% of the money allocated to them under Constituency Development program (CDP).

Apart from KTR, three MLAs who spent less than 25% include Warangal East, West MLAs Konda Surekha, Dasyam Vinaya Bhaskar and Nizamabad Urban MLA B Ganesh.

It may be noted that each MLA was allotted Rs 1.50 crore in 2015-16 and Rs 3 crore in 2016-17 under the CDP. In the mid of June 2017, about Rs 75 lakh were released for each MLA/MLC constituency as part of the first instalment for the year 2017-18.

Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman, Congress MLAs D K Aruna and J Geeta Reddy spent more than 75% funds. 64 MLAs including Minister of Irrigation Harish Rao, along with ministers Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, Etala Rajendar, P Mahendar Reddy, Talasani Srinivasa Yadav, K. Padma Rao, Jupally Krishna Rao, G. Jagadish Reddy disbursed somewhere between 50-75% of allocated reserves in their constituencies.

KCR launches sheep distribution scheme, requests farmers not to commit suicide

0

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao officially launched the TRS Government’s prestigious sheep distribution programme at Kondapaka Mandal headquarters in Gajwel on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, KCR requested the famers to tell their problems and avoid committing suicides. The rural economy will be strengthened only with development of farmers and cast based occupations.

Telangana gets environmental clearance for using forest land in project

0

The Union Environment Ministry has accorded clearance for making use of 7,920 acres of forest land as a part of Kaleswaram irrigation project in Telangana, an official statement said here.

The advisory committee of the Ministry which met on Thursday in New Delhi took this decision, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s office.

The state government has earlier requested the Centre for required forest clearances for construction of barrages, tunnels, canals and as well as all reservoirs including the Mallanna sagar.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao personally made every effort to obtain the clearances. He expressed his happiness for all the clearance and complimented the state irrigation and forest officials.

He had last year laid foundation stone for the project which on completion would lift 300 TMC (Thousand Million Cubic) feet of water from river Godavari.

He had said that project will fulfil the need of irrigation water for north Telangana region. The state government had released Rs 13,811 crore for its construction.

The project, which is expected to be completed in three years, will provide water for 30 lakh acres in the region.

K Keshava Rao’s family gives up on muddy land deal

Telangana Rashtra Samithi secretary-general and Rajya Sabha member K Keshava Rao advised his family to forgo the lands purchased at Ibrahimpatnam. This comes as a consequence of KCR’s statement that “Not an inch of land has been transferred and not a rupee of the government is lost”. Consequently, KK is not prepared to fight against his own leader and government.

KK was earlier adamant that the land they purchased was after clearing all legal formalities and under High court’s direction. However, with KCR’s announcement, KK advised his family members to cancel this ‘muddy’ deal and get back their consideration money from the vendors, Virgo Global Media Ltd. But will KK apologise for questioning the authenticity of registrar Madhusudhan Reddy and held that it would be a contempt of court if the land registration is cancelled?

KK’s daughter G Vijaya Lakshmi and daughter-in-law Jyotsna purchased nearly 38 acres of land in Ibrahimpatnam which they claimed was not a controversial land and is free from all disputes. The agreement to purchase the land was done in 2013 when KK was in ruling Congress however the registration was done in 2015, when he switched to TRS.

Miyapur land scam: KCR says govt did not lose a single inch of land or a rupee

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao finally broke silence on the Miyapur land scam. He held that CBI inquiry is not needed and said that the government did not lose a single rupee on the Jagirs of Miyapur, Balnagar, Ibrahimatnam and Shamshabad, despite people making several attempts to gain access.

KCR said that the lands on which private individuals are allegedly claiming rights are still under government control. A review meeting was held at Pragati Bhavan on land grabbing issue on Tuesday. On the contrary to accusations of opposition parties and the media hype, the meeting concluded that this not a scam and that not even one square yard of government land is alienated. The TRS chief said that 810 acres of land in Miyapur has been registered to private owners with litigation rights. The land has not been transferred as the registration fee would be Rs 415 Crore, but only Rs. 60 lakh was paid. Also several lands were supposed to be registered as Immovable property under Land Transfer Book No.1 but were registered under Moveable property under Book 4. Consequently, KCR concluded that such registrations have no value and held that it was a grave mistake from the sub-registrar’s end.

The government believes that to gain control on old Jagir lands, illegal registrations were done by creating GPAs. Such registrations are invalid and do not have legal binding. KCR said that trail is going on in Supreme court related to Jagirdar lands and also directed officials to send the details directly to the chief justice.

However, he did acknowledge that some of these registrations have been subjected to irregularities and subsequently criminal cases have been registered against those individuals. KCR asserted that the investigation is going on and the culprits will be punished.

Miyapur land scam: Next steps by tongue-tied KCR?

Ever since the scam has surfaced Telangana Revenue Department has seen significant changes – be it shuffling of the registrars and sub-registrars involved in scam directly and indirectly or dismissing three officials or reduction in the number registrations or withdrawal of registrations process from anywhere.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao who is always ready to target opposition, apparently decided to act before grabbing the mic and answering the questions. It is certain that for obvious reasons CM will go about cleansing the revenue department. Speculations are rife that the corrupt officials will not only be dismissed but also criminal cases will be filed against them.

If reports are to be believed KCR decided to bring the revenue department under his purview by taking the portfolio from Deputy Chief Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali. Stamps and registration is critical piece of the revenue department. KCR allegedly came to conclusion that Mahmood Ali lacks experience in the field and the senior officers working in the department not extending cooperation either. The opposition parties in the state have been demanding immediate resignation of Deputy CM over his alleged involvement in the massive swindle. Another consequence is that CM is planning to take control of every department that generates income to the government like Exercise and commercial taxes. The corruption in the departments is causing huge loss to the exchequer.

Apparently, officials who illegal amassed wealth through these bogus registrations are gearing up to contest in 2019 general elections and have been asking for tickets in the respective parties.

KCR who has been conducting series of meetings with officials, decided not to remain tongue-tied on registration of government lands. After C V Anand was made Commissioner of Civil Supplies corruption in the department was significantly reduced. Likewise, the TRS supremo is allegedly planning to appoint IAS officers in revenue department to end the irregularities.

While the CM is concentrating on the departments, the role of CM’s peshi is being suspected in the scam. The land scam is going to remain a black dot for TRS government which in past three years remained unblemished. There are still several questions unanswered – What is the size of Miyapur Scam? Is it 15000 crore rupees or even massive? Is it only Sub registrars mistake? Is the modus operandi restricted to only Hyderabad or all districts of state? What is the level of involvement of Deputy Chief Minister?

Namasthe Telangana’ publisher associated with Miyapur land scam?

Ever since the Miyapur land scam has been exposed, not only investigators but also media and people have been suspecting that Kukatpally Sub-Registrar Rachakonda Srinivasa Rao alone could not have done such “mother of all scams”. Due to computerisation of records, it is impossible for 15000crore rupees worth scam not to reach the higher officials. Key aide of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and CMD of Namasthe Telangana newspaper Damodara Rao Deevakonda’s name has surfaced with this scam. ‘Mana Telangana’ daily published two front page articles on Thursday and Friday questioning the relationship of Trinity Infra Ventures and Damodar Rao.

According to the report in the newspaper, Trinity has purchased a Mercedes Benz S350 D L BSIV in 2016 which costs a whopping amount of 1.5crore rupees. The phone number provided in the registration documents of the car allegedly belongs to Damodara Rao traced using the “true-caller” app. The car apparently was part of the CM’s convoy earlier which stopped showing up after the scam appeared. The relationship between Damodara Rao and Trinity directors and his involvement in such a massive scandal is yet to revealed.

It may be noted that police have detained two other directors of Trinity- P S Parthasarathy and PVS Sharma and named two other directors Indrani Prasad and Mahita Prasad Caddell, who is also director in Goldstone Infratech Limited.

Damodara Rao is very close aide to chief minister and is the most influential person only after KCR. Being a director of Telangana Publications Private Limited, he is the purportedly unofficial administrator of Information and Broadcasting in the state. After the formation of Telangana, he is registered in directorial roles for four companies while he already had been director for four other companies before bifurcation.

Miyapur land scam: TRS MP K Keshava Rao family purchased land from Goldstone

Telangana Rashtra Samiti government is trying to come out of the Miyapur landscam but on the contrary more associations are being revealed. A close ally of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao, secretary-general of TRS and member of Rajya Sabha, Dr K Keshava Rao’s name has surfaced in the land scam.

KK’s daughter Gadwal Vijayalakshmi and two other family members allegedly purchased 50acres of land from the primary accused in the Miyapur land scam Goldstone firms. Around 38acres of land belonged to government alleged the registrar Madhusudhan Reddy. The 38-acre forest land belongs Survey number 36 which has around 3200 government lands. Parthasarathy and others apparently showed that they owned this land based on the registration done in 2007. The registration documents were lying in the registrar office for one year since 2015. However, the in-charge registrar Saleha Khadir completed the registration in the name of Gadwal Lakshmi and two others in 2016. The in-charge registrar of this area was suspended two days back.

Responding to the allegations, a very agitated KK said that high court confirmed that the land did not belong to government and the registration has to be done. Only upon the court’s discretion, and after scrutinising all the documents, they have purchased the land. He refused to answer questions about the seller Goldstone firms. An agitated KK termed the registrar Madhusudhan Reddy as “mad” and said that his accusations were false. The TRS MP said that nobody has to power the challenge the court.

Mallanna Sagar will be completed by next year: KCR

0

Telangana State Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao said that the Mallanna sagar will be completed by next year. Speaking at a meeting with farmers of Narsapur constituency farmers, KCR said that construction of the project will not stop despite evil forces challenging the government.

It may be recalled that on Sunday the residents of Vemulaghat village in Siddipet district entered one year of relay hunger strikes. The villagers have been demanding fair compensation for their land that the government is acquiring for Mallanna Sagar project. Vemulaghat is the only village that has not yet given up on their lands for construction.

Lawyer Rachana Reddy has taken up the case against the project in court. KCR previously accused the lawyer of creating hurdles in the way of his government’s project.

The village is demanding compensation as per Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act – 2013 (LA Act – 2013). But the government had offered them compensation under GO 123. Telangana even amended the land acquisition bill which got President’s assent last month and is an act.
