KCR’ s Ramzan Mood :T-Cong to Play Spoilsport

0

Telangana Congress is playing spoilsport chief minister KCR’s Ramzan mood by reminding him the annoying and un-implementable election promise of 12 per cent reservation in Jobs to Muslims. Rao, in an emotionally fired moment of 2014-elections campaign, assured everything to everybody and 12   per cent reservations to Muslims in Telangana. Everybody knows it was a pie in the sky. Yesterday, to strike a chord with Muslim, he chose to announce Iftar-dinner, free cloths,  honorarium to Imams etc on the occasion of  holy Ramzan month. He asked the government and his party to organize Iftar parties across state. All to cost Rs 26 crore.

However, Congress is planning to play spoilsport by reminding both, the chief minister and Muslim community, about the forgotten assurance of 12 per cent reservation.

The T-Congress has decided to organize, down from village to Hyderabad, counter Iftar parties and will remind them that they should pressurize the government for the implementation of 12 per cent reservation poll-promise of KCR.

On Friday, TPCC President N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Leader of Opposition in Council Mohammed Ali Shabbir criticized chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao for his Iftar sops for Muslim stating that it was bait to divert the attention of community from election promise of 12 per cent reservation.

“The Rs 26 crore fund for Muslims announced by KCR is pittance. They don’t want to survive on crumps thrown at them. Muslims are waiting for the implementation of 12 per cent reservations offered by the chief minister KCR,” said Uttam Kumar Reddy.

Shabbir Ali accused KCR of trying to humiliate the Muslim community. “Is he trying to give us ‘Khairaat’ (Alms)? KCR has insulted the entire Muslim community by offering a meagre Rs. 1,000 monthly salary to Imams, who enjoy highest respect in Islam. Has he consulted the Ulemas before making this announcement?” he asked while adding that a similar attempt made by the then Congress Government in 2004-05 to pay Rs. 5,000 per month salary to Imams was rejected by the Muslim Personal Law. He said KCR cannot take unilateral decisions on matters involving religion and religious sentiments.

Shabbir Ali also questioned the silence of Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen on the issue. He said both TRS and MIM should clarify their stand on Alair encounter and also explain when report on Kishanbagh police firing incident would be made public.

Who Will Benefit From KCR’s Killing-Spree?

0

It is confirmed that senior Congress leader D Srinivas is joining TRS purportedly to help chief minister KCR, who , he said, was working hard to build “Bangaru Telangana”. Along with  Srinivas, many more second-rung leaders are expected to join the TRS.

Apart from Greater Hyderabad Congress leader Danam Nagender and former MLA Nandeswar Goud, several district Congress presidents are expected join the TRS. Names of few more Congress leaders such as former minister Sudarshan Reddy also are being talked about.

Now the question is who will benefit from the KCR’s continued killing-spree?

Telangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been poaching on MLAs from the opposition parties ever though he has enough strength in Assembly, probably with the hope that removal of leaders from the parties would destroy them and make TRS only  dominant party in the New Telangana state.

Branding as Andhra Party first he wanted to weaken the Telugu Desam party which had a strength of twenty MLAs in Assembly when it was formed in 2014 . Now, he finds Congress as the soft target, whose leaders, having lost power both at the centre and state, can easily be lured.

Observers consider the KCR”s poaching of Congress leaders will help TDP more rather than TRS. Liquidation of Congress from Telangana will pave the path for a direct confrontation with TDP. A multi-corner contest in general elections in 2019 will benefit TRS more as the anti-incumbency factor and anti-TRS forces would get divided between Congress and TDP. In the absence of strong Congress, anti-incumbency get consolidated under TDP.

Saner elements see suicidal element in KCR’s poaching of Congress leaders. “Congress is not an enemy party. He may need Congress in future. If he destroys Congress, he has to face a tough fight from Telugu Desam party, which has enough money and muscle power to meet the challenge posed by the TRS,” said a Congress leader. As the grand old party of India and as the party that pushed T-bill, Congress has its own base.

DS in TRS: A Plus or Minus ?

0

Dharmapuri Srinivas’ defection to ruling TRS is unlikely to greatly change the political equations in Nizambad district.

D Srinvas (DS), a Munnuru Kapu, was a leader of standing in district some time back when TRS was not in the picture and TDP was the only rival.

After advent of TRS into the political arena,  Sriniva’s clout as the tall leader of the party began to fade away. His defeat in the past successive election bears testimony to this. The last election he won was the Assembly election held in 2004 from Nizambad Urban constituency, when Congress fought in alliance with fledgling TRS. He lost every election he fought later. In 2009 he lost to BJP candidate Y Lakshminarayana. In the by-election held in 2010, following the resignation of all Telangana MLAs demanding Telangana, D Srinivas could not wrest the seat from Lakshminarayana. He lost again by 12600 votes. He could not recover in 2014 election either, even after Congress granted the Telangana separate state.

He shifted his base to Nizambad rural. The Congress heavy weight was trounced by Bajireddy Goverdhan Reddy, who joined the TRS party just two days ago. The series of defeats have tarnished his image as a leader of Congress. In between the Congress nominated him to the Council. So, observers say his joining would not add up anything to TRS politically except for the negative publicity to the Congress.

Why TRS Wants DS

TRS wants to make Nizambad Lok Sabha Constituency pocket borough of Kavita, party MP and daughter of chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. By weaning away all the opposition leaders, TRS wants the constituency an Amethi for Kavita. To achieve this goal, a strong hype need to be created in state about how Congress is becoming irrelevant. After DS, former Congress minister and senior leader Sudarshan Reddy is likely target of TRS. With this, Congress will be left with only leader, former MP Madhu Yaski, who is now AICC spokesperson in Delhi.

Last Ditch Attempt

Congress’ last ditch attempt to pacify D Srinivas has failed. Accompanied by TPCC working president Mallu Bhattivikramarkha, D Sridhar Babu, DK Aruna etc. PCC president N Uttamkumar Reddy tried to meet Srinivas this morning. But, before the team arrived at his Banjara Hills resident, DS had already left for the residence of chief minister KCR. The team got back to Gandhi Bhavan without meeting DS.

Srinivas is expected to send  his resignation letter to the party president Sonia Gandhi tomorrow.

Four MLA’s in Line to Join TRS

0

Many more TDP MLAs from Telangana are reportedly in touch with TRS . This information has been revealed by Telangana transport minister Dr P Mahender Reddy. TRS appears to be upbeat over the news that senior Congress leader D Srinivas is expected to join the Party. The Telangana minister said MLAs from both TDP and Congress had joined TRS. He said three or four more MLA were expected to join the pink party. Mahender Reddy was talking to media to TRSLP meeting today. He did not give more details.

Gali Back in Action and Raps KCR

0

TDPs’ most voluble leader and MLC-elect Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu is back in action. He has been silent for quite some time. Ever since he was defeated  in 2014 by YSRC’s equally voluble Roja, Gali has been maintaining low key. Now that he has been elected from Chittoor district to Legislative Council, Gali has marked his reentry with an attack on KCR. On Thursday he took strong objection to KCR’s  meeting with nominated MLA Elvis Stephenson in his farmhouse. He accused KCR of influencing the cash-for-vote case through the complainant. “Stephenson is principal complainant. Can a chief minister hold a meeting with the complainant of case when it is in the crucial stage of investigation,” Gali asked. He said the whole episode of cash-for-vote reeks conspiracy and  KCR and Jagan had joined hands to hatch the conspiracy, he added. “When entire Andhra Pradesh was in thick of agitation for the implementation of Section 8, Jagan say the provision I  already in force. What does it mean? Are you in league of KCR in the campaign for the abrogation of Section.8 from AP reorganisation Act,” Gali said.

… And Now Luxury Buses for Naidu and KCR

0

Once in power you would become the owner of chest of tax-payers money. You can satisfy your whims and fancies with tax-payers money either in the name of security or public purpose. Now, chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are going to acquire bullet-proof and fire-proof luxury buses for their tours across their states. It is in stark contrast to the photograph doing rounds in social media of Britain Prime Minister Cameron who travelled standing in London Metro as he could not get a seat to sit. The buses of our Telugu chief minsters are designed to suit their administrative and personal choice at the cost of Rs 5 crore each. Chandigarh’s JCBL is building these buses with all amenities. Chief Ministers can carry their CMO’s in the bus. They can even hold meetings with a dozen of secretaries in the new bus. Apart from bullet-proofing and fire-proofing, bath room, satellite connective etc. have also been fitted. T-CM is planning to travel along the Haritha Haram in the bus. The arrival of AP CM’s bus will take some more time. Both, Indian politicians, especially South India, are known for their pomp when in power. The splendid display of authority at the public cost is now reaching a level vulgarity.

KCR Seeks Support from Non-BJP CMs

0

Peeved at the Cetre’s plan to invoke the Section-8 of AP Reorganisation Act-2014 which gives special powers to Governor over joint capital region of Hyderabad, Telangana chief minister KCR has reportedly planning to mobilise non-BJP chief ministers against the move.

It is a throwback to NTR’s move in 1983 to mobilize all non-Congress chief ministers in the country  against Congress at Centre which finally resulted in the formation National Front. NTR himself was appointed chairman of the historic move which formed the government in New Delhi  VP Singh as Prime Minister.

KCR is said to have initiated consultations with non-BJP chief ministers in the country to muster their support to his fight against usurpation of State’s power under Section 8. He is expected to write  letters to non-Congrerss chief ministers such as Nitish Kumar, Akhilesh Yadav, Naveen Patnaik, Siddaramaiah etc. Explaining the nature of Section 8 and centre’s intensions along with the cash-for-vote scam hatched by Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu. He is said to have kept Governor ESL Narasimhan of his move when he met the latter.

KCR Meets Governor, Elucidates Situation in State

0

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]elangana chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao met Governor ESL Narasimhan last night and elucidated the rumours that were rife on Section-8. The meeting, which went on up to an hour, was predominantly focussed on matters pertaining to Section-8 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.

Also, KCR stressed that Section-8 and the ongoing infamous cash-for-vote were two different issues. Chandrababu was allegedly trying to link up these two things, he reportedly brought to the notice of Narasimhan.

It has to be mentioned here that attorney general’s alleged comments on Section-8 were doing rounds on social media after it was telecast on television channels. In the apparent comments, attorney general has said that Governor can look into cash for vote scam. He further mentioned that Narasimhan can direct police of two states to operate in Hyderabad. He has even said that ACB has all the evidences in cash-for-vote scam and that it would go ahead with probe.  Condemning the statements made by some AP leaders, KCR has said that no untoward incidents took place in Hyderabad and all those who reside in Hyderabad are Hyderabadis.

The legal experts are of the opinion that attorney general might have not made those statements as they say, there’s no mention of Andhra Pradesh in Section-8. Further, the sub-section(2) of the section states that the Governor needs to consult the council of ministers of Telangana state and can take an independent decision, they added.

Leave Controversies to Law: Venkaiah Appeals to Telugu CMs

0

[dropcap]N[/dropcap]early a month after Telugu chief ministers—Chandrababu Naidu and K Chandrasekhar Rao- apparently started off war of words over the infamous cash-for-vote scam, the union minister Venkaiah Naidu (who is often regarded as the statesman) has spoken on the issue.

Stressing on the need for peace, Venkaiah Naidu has said that the duo must now put all the controversies to rest. He said that they must stop shooting dialogues at each other. Instead, he said, KCR and Babu must leave all the controversies to the law of the land.

It may be recalled that Chandrababu Naidu came under heavy criticism after the arrest of his MLA from Telangana state, Revant Reddy. Babu, who held a public meet in Vijayawada shortly, took pot shots at KCR and said that even he had ACB.

Coming down heavily on these statements, KCR said that even Lord Brahma wouldn’t save Chandrababu Naidu. According to experts, both the chief ministers must have refrained from personal statements when law was taking its own course of action. Today, Venkaiah Naidu too came out with similar opinion.

Let us truly hope that Telugu chief ministers will now at least put these controversies at rest and work together for the development of two states.

Naidu Looks Like a Burglar Caught in the Hole

0

[dropcap]D[/dropcap]oes chief minister Chandrababu Naidu look like a burglar who got caught while in hole he made in the wall. “Yes, he does”, says BV Raghavulu, politburo member of CPM.The veteran CPM leader said Naidu should first clarify to the people if the voice  recorded in the audio was his or not.

“He looks like a thief who was caught in the hole he himself made in the wall to burgle a house”, he said.

Speaking to telugu360.com from Tirupati, where he was attending a seminar on the ‘corporatization of politics’, Raghuvulu wondered how Naidu evades a straight question about his role in the attempt to buy an MLA’s vote in Telangana. “His voice is there for verification. His representatives were caught red-handed while offering money to nominated MLA Elvis.  Instead of denying the episode in clear terms, Naiduy is  talking everything other than replying the main question,” Raghavulu said.

Raghavulu was critical of Naidu’s attempt to distract people’s attention from the cash-for-vote scam with a counter charge of Telephone tapping against the Telangana government.

“If he is so sure of his telephone having been tapped, and he has enough proof, why didn’t his government file a case in the court? He should at least  come before the media with proof. It is again a ploy to divert people’s attention and an attempt to cover up his tarnished face,” he said. Dubbing the upcoming capital of Andhra Pradesh as the corporate capital, the former CPM state secretary said Amaravathi would become another Hyderabad with all development getting concentrated in the city.  This may lead to unrest in the long run in  other regions, he added.

[pullquote position=”left”]”He looks like a thief who was caught in the hole he himself made in the wall to burgle a house.”[/pullquote]

Raghavulu was equally critical of TRS chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. According to the CPM veteran, Rao was trying to get cheap mileage out of the case to gloss over his failures in Telangana state.

“Bifurcation has brought about many problems. Water sharing is a problem. Division assets of RTC and power sector has been pending.  Instead of concentrating on these issues, both chief ministers are indulging political one-upmanship. They will soon face the wrath of the people,” he warned.

No Phone Tapping by T-Government: Intelligence?

0

The intelligence bureau (IB) today reportedly submitted a detailed report on the  phone tapping issue that was raised by TDP supremo and AP’s chief minister Chandrababu Naidu.

If the buzz is to be believed, the IB has clarified to the centre that no such phone tapping took place, as alleged by AP Government, and no  evidence whatsoever was  found in the preliminary investigation.

It is to be recalled that Chandrababu Naiduearlier wrote a letter to prime minister Narendra Modi alleging that Telangana Government had resorted to phone tapping and  about 124 phones of various functionaries in the government,  including the  one of  chief minister, had been bugged.

Accordingly, the centre directed the IB to look into the matter. Meanwhile, Chandrababu has convened a meeting with top brass of  state intelligence wing to discuss the issue.

Cash for Vote Scam: KCR Meets Governor Narasimhan

0

Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao has met the governor today. As speculations are already rife over the cash-for-vote scam, this meeting is hogging limelight.
The sources said that KCR is likely to brief governor on the developments of cash for vote scam. Earlier, TDP alleged that governor ESL Narasimhan was acting in favour of Telangana government.
How TDP is going to look at this meeting is a million dollar question now. It has to be mentioned here that Chandrababu Naidu met the governor’s advisers APVN Sharma and AK Mohanty last night. Reports indicated that the duo told governor that they were called by Babu on a personal level.

KCR’s Dilemma: To Dilute and Not to Dilute the Cash-for-vote Case

0

Telangana chief minister K Chadrasekhar Rao is grappling with a Hamletian dilemma: to dilute the cash-for-vote (CFV) case or not, in order not to implicate his Andhra Pradesh counterpart N Chandrababu Naidu in the case.

The central BJP is said to have advised him against going overboard on the case and vitiating the relations between the two states.

The advice, reportedly delivered to KCR through Governor ESL Narasimhan and some informal channels, if ignored, has the potential of shattering the dream of KCR to see his daughter and Nizambad Lok Sabha member Kavita in the union cabinet.

Though there has been no love lost between Telangana BJP and KCR, the central BJP is understood to have responded positively to the friendly vibes from the TRS recently. For quite some time TRS has been sending signals to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president Amith Shah about its intension to join the NDA. KCR’s daughter, Kavita has gone on record that her party would have no objection to join NDA cabinet as it would help the nascent state get more assistance from the centre.  “If Prime Minister Modi invites me to join the cabinet we will consider it,” she told media some time back.

Highly placed sources in BJP told this correspondent that Modi was also not disinclined to take the TRS on board.

“The only hitch is TRS connections with MIM. We want the TRS to distance itself from MIM publicly to join the NDA government. The moment TRS jettisons the MIM, it is welcome to join the NDA cabinet,” informed BJP sources said.

TRS is not ready severe it relations with MIM before GHMC elections as it needs the support of Muslim minorities in Greater Hyderabad Municiapl Corporation (GHMC) area to win the election.  GHMC is the testing ground for TRS’ real influence in the capital where Andhra settlers outnumber the Telangana people. It was proven in 2014 Assembly elections when TRS ended up as poor third.  So, a defeat in GHMC elections would weaken his grip over the capital which in course of time undermine the chances of its return in 2019.

So, the TRS doesn’t want to antagonize Muslim minorities by jettisoning MIM before GHMC polls. It is said to have conveyed to BJP leadership in Delhi that it could not afford to do it  before GHMC elections. Though Kavita’s joining the cabinet has been put off for the time being, two parties are enjoy cordial relations.

Now, chief minister KCR has to choose between the BJP’s advice against implicating Naidu in CFV case or pursue his anti-Naidu politics and fall from grace of Prime Minister Modi. Pursuing latter course may put the dream of getting a cabinet berth for Kavita at risk.

New Pharma University in Hyderabad: KCR

0

Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, who announced the new industrial policy of the state on Friday, has enumerated the salient features of the policy. Speaking about the law and order of the Hyderabad, he has said that his government has tightened the law and order in the state. Briefing about the safety of women in the city, he elucidated as to how she teams were appointed that zeroed in on the eve teasers in some sensitive areas.

KCR went on to say that a new pharma university would be set up in Hyderabad and Telangana would soon be a key player in pharma industry of the country.  Launcing the TS-iPass website-which will help the prospective industrialists to apply for company licenses-Mr Rao said that there wouldn’t be any need for investors to run from pillar to post to get their works done.

In fact, protocol officers would welcome the investors in person, he said. He has further said that IT parks would be set up in the city. He reminded the people that Telangana has greater responsibility as a new state in country’s economic growth.

Make in Telangana: New Industrial Policy Announced

0

Telangana Government has announced a new industrial policy to attract investors from across the globe with an aim to boost the image of the capital city—Hyderabad.  Various banners set up across the city carry the slogan ‘Make in Hyderabad.’  It is known that ‘Make in India,’ is the slogan that was coined by the prime minister Narendra Modi to lure investments from China. It now looks like chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao is imitating Modi.

The HICC, which is hosting the mega industrial-policy meet in Hyderabad, was beautifully decorated. All the delegates of important companies are reportedly attending this meet. In fact, at least 2000 seating arrangements were made for VIPs alone, which reflect the magnitude of the meet.

The new industrial policy aims at granting industrial licenses to the companies without any hurdles. Also, there will be a single window system wherein prospective industries-wishing to set up their offices in Hyderabad-can directly apply for company licenses online, which will be cleared in two weeks, if we have to go by the buzz.

It is known that Microsoft-which was functioning in three units at rental facilities-recently got a permanent location in Hyderabad, which was confirmed when IT minister KTR was on US tour. Now, the government sources revealed that another mobile major—Micromax will set up its facility in Hyderabad soon.

Notably, a manufacturing unit of Amazon was recently set up near Hyderabad. All these developments are proving that no matter even if Hyderabad is the capital of Telangana, it will still remain as a global city that will welcome people from across the globe.

However, KCR imitating Modi is the sole question here. It is still not ascertained whether Modi gave any guidelines to KCR at personal level or the latter is trying to impress the prime minister, especially in the wake of cash-for-vote and subsequent meet of Chandrababu with Narendra Modi.

Naidu: T- Govt Will Fall if KCR Tries Arrest Me

0

Naidu  warned that TRS government would not survive a minute if he was implicated in the cash-vote-case and arrested.

He told this to a national news channel in Delhi.

According to the NDTV, which interviewed him, Naidu said, “if he (KCR) does like that (tries to arrest me), it will be the last day for his government.”

Naidu said the tapes and conversation in the tapes were doctored and accused that KCR was using fabricated tapes and the police to intimidate him and his party legislators.

Naidu  is in Delhi on a two-day tour to seek centre’s intervention in containing T-CM  Chandrasekhar Rao’s enthusiasm in tapping telephones.

K Chandrashekar Rao-Profile

0

K Chandrashekara Rao is the first chief minister of Telangana state. He is also the chief of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which claims to have brought the state of Telangana from erstwhile Andhra Pradesh.

Born on February 17, 1954 in Medak district of erstwhile Hyderabad state, K Chandrashekar Rao is a post graduate in Telugu literature from Osmania University.

KCR started off his political stint with Congress as youth leader under the leadership of Sanjay Gandhi.  An admirer of legendary N.T. Rama Rao, KCR joined Telugu Desam Party in 1983 and contested as an MLA but lost. He later, won as when N.T. Rama Rao called for re-elections post Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

KCR was made minister of drought and relief in N.T. Rama Rao’s cabinet. He even served as TDP convener for Nizamabad, Adilabad and Medak district in 1990. After the fall of NTR, KCR continued in Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership and became transport minister in 1996. He was the deputy speaker of Andhra Pradesh assembly between 2000-01.

KCR, who resigned to TDP in 2001 over discrimination meted out to Telangana region, has formed Telangana Rashtra Samithi in April, 2001. His party gained momentum in the region due to which Congress came forward and allied with TRS in 2004. The UPA, which tried to come to power in 2004, included the formation of Telangana in its common minimum programme.

Mr Rao was made the minister of state in the first term of UPA. The main agenda of the party—Telangana state—was pushed into the pipeline, which made KCR to resign for the post and ally with TDP in 2009.

In November 2009, KCR vowed before the public to bring Telangana state and underwent fast unto death. The student movement for Telangana state picked up during this period. The then union home minister Chidambaram, on December 9 mid-night, gave a media statement that the Government of India decided to form Telangana state and an appropriate resolution would be moved in the assembly.

Soon after the statement, KCR withdrew his fast and continued to fight for the cause until 2014. He even promised to merge TRS with Congress if Telangana state is carved out. He soon backtracked and said that he wanted to work towards ‘Bangaru Telangana.’ He sworn in as the chief minister of Telangana on June 2, 2014.

Mysteries Surrounding Babu’s ‘Alleged Phone Tapping’

0

With AP chief minister Chandrababu Naidu taking up the alleged phone tapping before the Centre, the Telangana government clarified that no such stints were involved in this cash-for-vote scam.

On Tuesday alone, at least nine ministers of Telangana government reiterated that they didn’t resort to phone tapping.

Even as the Anti Corruption Bureau is being blamed over the investigation procedures, ACB chief A K Khan plunged into the scene and briefed the media that the investigation in cash-for-vote was done as per their protocol, involving professionals.

It is known that the police has no authority to leak any of the substantial evidences to the media when the matter is prejudice and ACB too clearly said that they didn’t tap the phone. The question of leaking them to the media, therefore, doesn’t arise, opined political  observers.

So, it is evident that the police in this particular alleged tape episode is on a safe land. Who is at blame? Whether telephone line was really tapped or is it a clever play of Stephenson?

Here are some possibilities as to how this conversation was recorded, according to the experts.

Stephenson, the nominated MLA to the Telangana government, approached ACB and submitted a written complaint to the bureau that he was being lured for MLC vote.

As a part of the same, police-based on the written complaint-can presumably tap the telephone calls of Stephenson. While ACB is stressing that chief minister’s phone is not tapped, it is not clarifying anything about tapping Stephenson’s calls.

Also, it must be mentioned here that smart phones in today’s market have an option of auto-record. Apparently, there’s every chance of Stephenson recording Babu’s conversation on his mobile phone and handing it to TRS (his party).

All in all, if Chandrababu Naidu is really convinced that his phone lines are tapped, he has every right to move the court. However, his arguments in public-as to how can chief minister’s phone be tapped-are not acceptable, for the Constitution of India guarantees no separate law for a chief minister.

Telangana CM in Soup? Defamation Suits Filed in AP

0

Barely a day after Andhra Pradesh chief minister Chandrababu Naidu’s alleged tapes went viral on the electronic media, TDP cadre plunged into action. Several FIRs have reportedly been filed against Telangana chief minister K Chandrashekara Rao for allegedly defaming their party supremo and chief minister. The first report is presumably filed at Vijayawada, the city where Babu is scheduled to hold a massive public meeting.

It is known that Andhra Pradesh Government’s media advisor Parakala Prabhakar said they (the government) would see an end. It now looks like the dramatic changes that are being taking place in AP are first action measures.

Also, the TDP cadre is alleging that any official, who requires to tap telephonic conversations, need to seek the permission of the Centre, which didn’t take place in this particular place. How KCR is going to come down on these reactions is now a million dollar question.

T Govt Denies Tapping, AP Writes to Centre

0

With Andhra Pradesh Government and TDP folks taking on Telangana government over the alleged tapping of AP chief minister’s phone, the Telangana government has swung into the action. The deputy chief minister of Telangana state, Kadiyam Srihari has categorically denied that the government didn’t tap Chandrababu Naidu’s phone.

He has further said that his party’s nominated MLA, Stephenson approached the Anti Corruption Bureau and gave a written complaint that he was lured by Revanth Reddy. Accordingly, ACB recorded the phone conversations of Stephenson alone, added Kadiyam.

Questioning on Revanth Reddy’s alleged cash for vote scam, Kadiyam asked Chandrababu as to why he didn’t condemn the heinous act. He even challenged Chandrababu if he was ready for a lie-detector test.

Coming down heavily on the statements of Chandrababu Naidu, he has said that Telangana police alone has jurisdiction on Hyderabad and Babu was misleading the people of Andhra.

It is still a matter of debate as to how the crime issue took a diversion to Hyderabad. Is TDP trying to sideline the corruption issue by bringing in Hyderabad? Well, it remains to be a rhetorical question.

On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh cabinet is convening a key meeting today for sending a resolution to the Centre that law and order in Hyderabad be handed over to the governor of Telugu states, as mentioned in Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Bill.
