Kirrak Party 1st week Worldwide Collections

Kirrak Party had a Poor first week with a worldwide distributor share of 5.50 Cr. After a very average weekend the film literally crashed on weekdays with area wise distributor shares coming down to thousands. The collections are less than previous Nikhil Starrer Keshava (https://www.telugu360.com/tag/keshava/) which had collected a distributor share of 7.05 Cr in it’s first week worldwide.Theatrical rights of the film including expenses are valued at 11 Cr which means the recovery so far is just 50 percent. The film is going to end up as a flop in the least case unless it picks up miraculously.

Kirrak Party 3 days Worldwide Collections

Kirrak Party 3 days Worldwide Collections

Kirrak Party had collected a worldwide distributor share of 4.95cr approx in it’s first weekend. The film couldn’t utilise the good opening over the weekend which it has got on first day of the release. Collections on Sunday ie, third day should be more than the opening day as it was a festival day but that didn’t happen. Instead the collections have dropped. Worldwide theatrical rights including expenses are valued at 11cr which tallies a recovery of 45 percent so far. The film has to hold well from today to end up as a successful venture but that looks doubtful looking at the way how the film has performed over the weekend.

My love for films has kept me away from the love of my life: Nikhil

    Nikhil Siddharth Kirrak Party Interview

It’s been a hectic few days for Nikhil. The jam-packed schedule of promoting his upcoming film might as well have taken a toll on him. But that’s not the case! Even though it is late in the night at 12 am, the young star is in high spirits, and becomes all the more enthusiastic when you begin talk about the upcoming film.

“I don’t think I have been as excited and nervous about any film in the past. I haven’t slept properly in over five days. The stakes are very high for me with this film. One is the emotional connect that I have developed with Kirrak Party. You know, it’s just that when you love something or someone too much, you just want the best to happen in that regard. I have loved every film I have done but I have to confess that I have never enjoyed working on any film this much!” he explains.

It’s interesting how Nikhil was not even keen to work on the film in the first place. Notably, the actor has never been part of remakes before and this is the first time in his career of over around 11 years, he has taken up a remake (of Kannada film Kirik Party), and he sure seems happy he did. “I was not convinced about the film. In fact, when Anil Sunkara garu asked me to watch the film, I did it only as a formality with the clear intention of saying no in any case. However, the first few moments of the film drew me in, and I was convinced that I had to do this film,” he reveals. Well, it’s quite a big deal then, that he has become so attached to the film, that he may not have even been a part of in the first place!

“Kirrak Party has explored the college life of students from a setup in places like Vijayawada or probably even smaller towns. Nikhil really loved being part of the film because for the first time he got to play himself, full-fledgedly”

Having made a successful debuted with Happy Days in 2007, this is the first time since then that Nikhil took up another role as a full-fledged college student and he tells us that it has been all a major dose of memories. “This film was a trip down the lane of nostalgia for me! First, it took me back to my college days when I was a student in Osmania University and had a blast. We’d taken our own trip the police station, even though it wasn’t on a serious note. And of course the squabbles between the seniors and juniors. I have seen it all in real life, and bringing it into life was amazing for me,” he explains, adding, “Shooting in a college atmosphere also reminded me of the days I worked on Happy Days and how I was a struggling nobody then. I really have come a long way.”

It’s endearing to see Nikhil talk about anything related to Kirrak Party, While in one breath he’s gushing about the group of friends he’s made for life, in another he gushes over how cute his co-star Simran Pareenja is. Well, he’s got ample praise for Samyuktha Hegde too, who he thinks is one hell of a performer. But underlining it all is something else that Nikhil likes about the film. “It is a fun film at the heart, no doubt. But I love the message that the film aims to give – the need to respect women. It’s been dealt with so wonderfully and I am quite proud of being part of such a film,” he states, even as he adds that the film will be a bundle of memories for most people who miss their days of college. While the original was a long film of around three hours, director Sharan Koppisetty and team reworked the film, retaining its essence to shorten it to a little less than two and a half hours.

The angle of romance was quite spoken about in the original and Nikhil suggests this film too has some beautiful moments. “Some sequences have been shot so beautifully, I can’t wait for people to see them. My favourite moment in the film is this beautiful shot between Simran and I, shot on a rooftop,” he shares.

And what with the romance in his own life? Did he have his own share of love stories back in college. “Ah, that’s a tough one. I should tell you my busy film schedules have always played spoilsport and possible romances always ended up in break ups. It’s probably not easy for a girl to understand or adjust with the kind of life I life. Maybe it would be safe to say that my love for films has kept me away from the love of my life,” he states thoughtfully.

Breezy and Fun Filled- Kirrak Party Audio

    0

    Kirrak Party Audio Review

Kirrak Party is an upcoming entertainer starring Nikhil Siddarth and Samyuktha in lead roles. Music for the film is composed by B Ajaneesh Lokanath who is making his debut in Tollywood with this album. The album begins with Dum Dare- an impressive unplugged number sung by the very talented Haricharan and penned by Vanamali. The song speaks wonderfully about the laid back nature of college life and the fun moments. Impressive guitar riffs make this song an enjoyable listen.

Sir Bewarse has a modern Jazz take with impressive riffs, and a casual air of conversational style. Sung by Shashank does a commendable job with laid back singing and an air of classicism. Rakendu Mouli’s lyrics speak about the tantrums of youth quite well.

The album then turns to romantic mode with Guruvaram sung by Vijay Prakash and has a breezy impact throughout. Rakendu Mouli does a good job with poetry which is quite on the simple note.

Meera’s Theme is a beautiful solo by Sameera Bharadwaj composed in the beautiful raga Behag touched with grand piano and the minimalistic approach is what makes it a winner. The entire song is high on classical terms and elevates the album quite amazingly.

The jazzy feel is back with Neechamaina which has interesting string usage and violin touches. The Jazz piano is quite fun to hear and the eerie feeling is brilliantly put forward by the composer. The song has a novel approach which also speaks about the film’s story.

A mass appeal arrives with Back Bench which also has a nostalgic feel. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are quite funky and speak of the college life and the enjoyable things done by the students. Shashank delivers quite well with his vocals which are peppy enough.

Neelo Ninnu is a wonderful solo by Shreya Ghoshal which also has an aura of A.R.Rahman’s 90s songs. The mild trance touches are quite melodious and Shreya does a good job with her funkiness as well. Ramajogayya Sastry’s lyrics are entertaining and foot tapping rhythm makes it sure that there is no dull moment.

A melancholic number Praanamantha also follows the classical touch with neat electric guitars and Kaala Bhairava brings a new meaning to sadness with his beautiful rendition. It is interesting to see a rock ballad in Tollywood with such perfection!Set in Western Harmonic Minor scale, the song is a whiff of fresh air!

The album arrives to an end with Dum Dare(Choir Version) which has additional electric guitar touches and slowly builds up in trance style. The composer displays his expertise over classic rock is clearly evident in this number.

    Verdict:

Kirrak Party is a sublime fresh musical air in the midst of heavy sounding albums of this year!

KirrakParty Teasing Trailer: A typical college drama on cards

    0

    KirrakParty Teasing Trailer

Young actor Nikhil Siddharth carved out a niche for himself by selecting novel scripts. He is now coming up with a youthful college drama Kiraak Party which is the official remake of Kannada hit Kirik Party. The first teaser of the film has been unveiled today evening.

Just above a minute, the teaser is fully packed with youthful elements that hint the film is going to be a typical college drama a’ la Happy Days with a tinge of mass backdrop. This teaser gives a sense of Déjà Vu for viewers as there have been numerous films before with similar college backdrop. The settings are also very simple and the mass background song adds some masala to the teaser.

Nikhil is impressive with his devil-may-care attitude and his trademark histrionics might be the USP for the film.

Though there is nothing so exciting in the teaser, it shows that the film is aimed largely at younger generation audience. What remains to be seen is if the entertaining elements and the changes in the script to suit the Telugu sensibilities come in handy to match the expectations of audience here.

Directed by Sharan Kopisetty, the film has Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead.
