Veteran director Krishna Vamsi has lost his touch and delivered a series of flops. He took a long break and worked on a remake. His next film Ranga Marthanda is releasing this week. Several special screenings are held and the response is unanimous and exceptional. Krishna Vamsi is very confident on the film. Top production house Mythri Movie Makers is releasing Ranga Marthanda across the Telugu states. Krishna Vamsi is a delighted man and he is keen to revive his long-delayed film titled Annam.
Impressed with the narration, Mythri Movie Makers is keen to bankroll and back this film. Krishna Vamsi needs a big actor for Annam because of which it was kept on hold. If Ranga Marthanda ends up as a commercial success, Tollywood actors would open doors. Mythri too will have a chance to arrange a meeting with any of the top or young actors of Tollywood. Things will be finalized only after the release of Ranga Marthanda. For now, Mythri has decided to support Krishna Vamsi and his next film Annam.
Krishna Vamsi floats his own Music Label
Veteran director Krishna Vamsi who delivered several classics in the past has been struggling to make a comeback. His next film is Rangamarthanda and it is an interesting attempt. Prakash Raj, Brahmanandam and Ramya Krishna will be seen in the lead roles in this drama. Krishna Vamsi is said to have floated his own music label with Rangamarthanda. His audio label is named SILK. It is inspired from Sirivennela Seetharama Sastry (S), Ilayaraja (IL) and Krishna Vamsi (K). Krishna Vamsi is a die-hard fan of legends Seetharama Sastry and Ilayaraja.
Rangamarthanda is in the final stages of post-production and the film releases soon. Krishna Vamsi during his recent interviews revealed that he has plans to work on several projects in the coming days. Adarsh Balarkrishna and Anasuya will be seen in other prominent roles in Rangamarthanda. Ilayaraja scores the music for this interesting attempt. Abhishek Jawkar and Madhu Kalipu are the producers. The movie is the official remake of Marathi classic Natsamrat.
Krishna Vamsi’s ‘Rangamarthanda’ post-production nearing completion

The creative director has published videos of Ilayaraja’s live background score sessions for the much-anticipated film ‘Rangamarthanda’ for the first time.

Megastar Chiranjeevi turned out to support the film and he lent his voice for Rangamarthanda. Chiranjeevi’s voice will be used throughout the film to narrate some of the crucial episodes of Rangamarthanda. There would be several poems in the film during the start and the end of the film for which Chiranjeevi lent his voice.
Tollywood writer Lakshmi Bhupala penned these poems. Rangamarthanda is a film that narrates the life story of a theatre artist. Chiranjeevi started dubbing for his part today and the makers of the film made an announcement. Chiranjeevi shares a close bonding with Krishna Vamsi and he gave his nod after Krishna Vamsi requested Megastar. Prakash Raj, Ramya Krishna, Shivathmika, Adarsh Balakrishna, and Rahul Silpligunj will be seen in the lead roles in this drama. Rangamarthanda’s release date will be announced soon.

Creative director Krishna Vamsi has been struggling for success and there are no takers for the veteran director after his last movie Nakshatram ended up as a dud. After a long gap, Krishna Vamsi took up a Marathi remake and the film is titled Rangamarthanda which is nearing completion. Krishna Vamsi’s Rangamaarthanda Launched
Veteran director Krishna Vamsi was once one of the most successful directors of Telugu cinema. He soon lost trace and all his recent projects ended up as commercial disasters. After almost three years, Krishna Vamsi is returning back to mainstream cinema with Rangamaarthanda, the remake of Marathi blockbuster film Natsamrat. Rangamaarthanda got its official launch today in a private studio in Hyderabad.
Talented director Teja launched the film and he directed the first shot. Prakash Raj and Ramya Krishna will be seen essaying the lead roles in this drama and Brahmanandam, Anasuya Bharadwaj have been picked up for other crucial roles. Most of Rangamaarthanda will be shot in Vizag and Maestro Ilayaraja will compose the tunes and background score. Creative director Krishna Vamsi is planning to come back with a fresh new-age love story with all new comers.
Undoubtedly, Krishna Vamsi is one of the very talented directors in Telugu film industry. He started his career with blockbusters like Gulabi, Ninne pelladatha. His first production “Sindhooram” got him critical acclaim and also brought awards for the movie. His movies like “Anthapuram” were remade in Hindi also. But later his career went down hill with back to back flops like Mogudu, Paisa, Govindudu Andarivadale. His last film “Nakshatram” set a benchmark for disaster movies in Tollywood. After that, no producer or hero coming forward to work with him.

Status of ‘Rythu’ still remains uncertain: Krishna Vamsi
Filmmaker Krishna Vamsi has confirmed his plans to make Telugu film “Rythu”, for which he had also approached megastar Amitabh Bachchan. But he still remains uncertain as he is yet to get a nod from the “Cheeni Kum” actor.
Vamsi had planned to make the film with Nandamuri Balakrishna and Big B.
“Last year, we met Amitji on the sets of ‘Sarkar 2’ and discussed the idea. Even though we waited for six months, the collaboration somehow didn’t materialise. I’m still unsure about whether I will go ahead and make the film,” Vamsi told IANS.
He said he can’t picture any other actor in senior Bachchan’s shoes.
“It’s a role only he can do as he can bring certain gravitas to. I don’t think I’ll do the film without him,” he said.
In 2014, Amitabh made his Telugu film debut with “Manam”, in a special appearance.
Vamsi’s latest Telugu outing “Nakshatram” hit the screens on Friday.
Krishna Vamsi had considered Sanjay Dutt for ‘Nakshatram’
Director Krishna Vamsi says he originally considered actor Sanjay Dutt for a crucial role in his forthcoming Telugu action-drama “Nakshatram”, which throws the spotlight on the lives of a bunch of policemen.
Sanjay was considered for the character played by Sai Dharam Tej in the film.
“Sai’s role originally was a middle-aged character. In the script, I had written it as a 20-minute role. I had plans to rope in Sanjay Dutt, and he was supposed to play the DSP. As we started the process of approaching him with the offer, I met Sai in a party and we hit it off,” Vamsi told IANS.
In that meeting, he decided to offer the role to Sai.
“I have known him for over a decade. When I met him last year, we spoke for about two hours and I started imagining him in the role. I knew if a youngster played the role, I could show the character even more dynamically. Sai was more than happy to accept the role,” he said.
Sai, for his 30-minute role, didn’t take remuneration.
“He worked for free. He told me he always wanted to work with me,” Vamsi added.
The film also stars Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra and Pragya Jaiswal.
Sai Dharam Tej worked in ‘Nakshatram’ for free
Actor Sai Dharam Tej, who will be seen in a cameo in filmmaker Krishna Vamsi’s upcoming Telugu action-thriller “Nakshatram”, play his part for free out of his love and respect for the director.
“Since it was a cameo and was something that got Sai really excited, he did not charge any fee for it. Krishna Vamsi went out of his way and thanked him for the gesture,” a source from the film’s unit told IANS.
In the film, Tej will be seen in a 20-minute cameo. He plays a police officer called Alexander.
On working with Krishna Vamsi, Tej said in a statement: “I really enjoyed working with him; he taught me a lot. It is one experience that I would cherish throughout my career. I want to thank him for giving me this opportunity.”
The film, slated for release in August, also stars Sundeep Kishan, Regina Cassandra and Pragya Jaiswal.
Tej is currently busy dubbing for his upcoming Telugu actioner “Jawaan”.
Krishna Vamsi’s Nakshatram set for Release
Creative director Krishna Vamsi has been facing the heat as none of his recent outings ended up as debacles. He pinned all his hopes on his next film titled Nakshatram. Touted to be an action drama the film features Sundeep Kishan and Regina Cassandra in the lead roles. Sai Dharamtej and Pragya Jaiswal will be seen in other prominent roles in the film which completed all the post-production formalities recently.
Though the film has been initially aimed for May release, Nakshatram failed to hit the screens as planned. Now the film is all set for July 14th release and the makers are busy closing the business in all the territories. Manisharma is composing the music and Sri Chakra Media along with Butta Bomma Creations bankrolled the film. The trailer recent decent response from the audience and Prakashraj will be seen in a crucial role in the film.
Shriya Saran signs an Item Number
Timeless beauty Shriya Saran made her comeback to Tollywood with Gopala Gopala after which she grabbed an opportunity in Balakrishna’s Gautamiputra Satakarni. Impressed with her work, she has been retained for NBK’s next film which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh. The actress has been approached for a special peppy item number in Krishna Vamsi’s next titled Nakshatram and the actress gave the team a nod for the song. The special song will be shot during the mid of this month informed the makers with which the entire shoot will be wrapped up.
Krishna Vamsi has been in hunt for a lead actress for the item song and he locked Shriya Saran finally. Nakshatram is busy with the post-production work and with many releases in May, the makers are in plans to release the movie during June this year. Krishna Vamsi pinned many hopes on the film.
