It was Kangna who referred Krish for Manikarnika

Super talented director Krish won wide applause for his films Kanche and Gautamiputra Satakarni which are said to be periodic dramas. The ace director has been appreciated for the quality of his films, which have been made on a decent budget and in a planned time frame. The ace director grabbed an opportunity to direct a Bollywood movie titled Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi which happened to be the life story of queen Rani Laxmibai. The movie has been officially launched recently in Varanasi and Kangna Ranaut is all set to play the title role in the movie.

The movie has been initially titled Kangna Ranaut and Ketan Mehta was initially on board to direct the movie. After working for years, the director walked out of the project due to undisclosed reasons. Then it was Kangna who referred Krish for the project as she happened to watch the glimpses of Gautamiputra Satakarni. Even the film’s writer V Vijayendra Prasad is aware of Krish and recommended him. The regular shoot of Manikarnika will start from the mid of June in Madhya Pradesh. Kangna is currently preparing for her role in the movie.

Manikarnika first look

Versatile and sensible filmmaker Krish is all set for his next movie after a stupendous hit like Gautamiputra Satakarni. His next film has been titled Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Bollywood star actress Kangana Ranaut has been roped in to play the lead role in the film and the makers unveiled the first poster which showcases the title along with the sketched look of the warrior queen. The event took place on the banks of Ganga, Varanasi in which the principle cast, crew attended.

The 20 feet poster has been unveiled by Kangana and the regular shoot of the film will start next month. V Vijayendra Prasad penned the script and Zee Studios along with Kairos Studios will release this multilingual film which will be shot in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages. Manikarnika has been aimed for April 27th 2018 release.

Unique launch plans for Krish’s Manikarnika

Creative filmmaker Krish, who bagged numerous accolades for retelling the glory of Satakarni in his last outing, is all set to helm yet another interesting historic drama which traces the life history of Maratha queen Jhansi Laxmi Bhai. Titled as Manikarnika, the film will have Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut in the titular role.

Krish has chalked out a unique launch event for this prestigious project. Krish will formally announce the film from Kasi ghat in Varanasi. The core team will perform a ritual on the banks of Ganga river and will address the media.

The regular shooting of the film will commence shortly. Popular writer Vijayendra Prasad penned the script for the film and Shankar – Ehsan – Loy will render the soundtrack. The film will be made as a Hindi – Telugu bilingual.
