High Court to hear plea for cancelling Jagan bail

2

It seems confirmed that the personal battle of rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju with CM Jaganmohan Reddy has reached a point of no return. His petition for cancellation of Jagan Reddy’s bail came up for hearing in the High Court of Andhra Pradesh today. Rajugari lawyer argued that the Chief Minister was the main accused in over 11 cases. Hence, it was required to cancel his bail so that Mr. Jagan Reddy would be able to prove his innocence and emerge clean from the corruption cases.

RRR has been saying that he is asking for speedier trial of Jagan cases for the sake of removing bad name for their party. After hearing the arguments, the High Court postponed next hearing on April 27. The court said that it would first hear the arguments from both sides on whether the bail cancellation plea should be admitted or not.

There is no doubt that the Jagan loyalists have hurt RRR’s ego very badly. For several weeks, the rebel MP has been swearing his revenge. Living up to his warnings, Rajugaru has filed petition for cancelling Jagan bail which was not initially accepted for lack of documents. Now, the petition is formally taken up.

Political circles say that if RRR’s petition is admitted in the High Court, then it would push the CM into a tight spot. The arguments on this would also get wide media attention since bail cancellation would eventually trigger far reaching political consequences for AP.

RRR warns Jagan of losing 15% neutral voters

1

YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju has changed his style a little bit in attacking his own party leadership. He cautioned and advised CM Jaganmohan Reddy against allowing leaders like Vijay Sai Reddy to malign the party image. With his uncivilised and disrespectful tweets, Vijay Sai was bringing shame to the party. RRR warned Jagan that their party would lose 15 percent neutral voters support if this damage was not stopped.

Rajugaru advised the CM to remove Vijay Sai Reddy from his the party national secretary post and also from the party key role in Delhi. Some decent leader like Ummareddy Venkateswarlu may be given such tasks.

In the 2019 election, the YCP got 49.9 percent vote share while the TDP got just 39.9 percent. The Jana Sena got 5.5 percent share. RRR indirectly said that the permanent vote share of the YCP was just 35 percent while the remaining 15 percent support came from the neutral voters who are not committed to any party.

The main reason for the latest criticism by RRR is Vijay Sai Reddy’s most controversial tweet on the birthday of former Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. Rajugaru has finally said that nobody could do anything if CM Jagan himself gave permission to such tweets. It is because the CM’s mistakes would drown his own party but not any other.

RRR petition against Jagan bail rejected?

4

A lot of political heat was already generated over YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju’s complaint in the court seeking cancellation of bail to AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy. But, reports have started coming in that RRR’s complaint was rejected by the court because of lack of merit in the petition.

Rajugaru immediately issued statements clarifying what happened. He said that his petition was not rejected by the court. It was only that the hearing was not taken up for technical reasons. The court has asked for the certified copy of the bail granted by the CBI-ED court in Hyderabad.

The rebel MP said that he had already submitted an application for getting the certified copy of the bail given to Jagan Reddy. Once the copy was made available, the same would be submitted for taking forward the case.

Rajugaru said that once again, the petition would be filed in the court with fresh details. It will come up for hearing next week. However, the YCP leaders say that it was a fact that the RRR petition was rejected technically or otherwise. All the talk of RRR petition for CM bail cancellation has ended in a farce. Litigation politics reached a peak amidst the Tirupati poll fight.

Another CBI case on Narasapuram MP for Rs 238cr scam

1

At a time when rebel Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party’s (YSRCP) Narasapuram MP Kanumuru Raghu Ramakrishna Raju is incessantly lecturing about morals, ethics, integrity and other virtues, another Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) case was registered against him for alleged bank forgery scam worth Rs 238 crore.

The CBI has registered cases against Raju and his family members for alleged criminal conspiracy, cheating, forgery of valuable security, forgery for the purpose of cheating, using forged documents as genuine and criminal misconduct by a public servant.

Acting on a complaint from S. Ravichandran, deputy general manager of the State Bank of India, SAMB in Chennai, the CBI has registered the case.

In his complaint, Ravichandran alleged that nearly a total amount of Rs 238 crore has been stolen from the bank by Raju and other officials from Ind Bharath Power Gencom Ltd.

“A complaint dated March 23 has been received from Ravichandran, DGM, SBI, SAMB, Chennai wherein it has been alleged that the borrowing company, its directors and other unknown persons and public servants conspired and committed the acts of cheating,” the FIR mentioned.

According to the first information report (FIR), Raju, Kanumuru Rama Devi, Kanumuru Indira Priyadarshini, Ganta Ambedkar Rajkumar, Dumpala Madhusudhana Reddy, Narayana Prasad Bhagavathula, Ramachandra Iyer Balakrishnan and other unknown persons and public servants have been listed as the accused in the scam.

The accused allegedly indulged in forgery using valuable securities, used forged documents as genuine, engaged in criminal misconduct and cheated the lending bank.

The CBI booked the accused under IPC Sections 120 – B read with 420, 467, 468 and 471 and Sections 13 (2) read with 13 (1) (d) of PC Act, 1988.

“As per RBI’s master directions on frauds, the complaint shall be lodged with the CBI by the PSU bank with the largest exposure to the account in the consortium. And since Axis Bank, the lead lender being the private bank in the consortium, SBI is filing the complaint,” said the SBI DGM in his complaint.

Ravichandran urged the investigation agency to take necessary action against the accused persons as per the provisions of the criminal law.

RRR plea to Jagan to save people from Birthday collections

3

These past few weeks, YCP rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju is not much in news with his witty, pungent attacks on CM Jaganmohan Reddy and his Ministers. But the situation has made it necessary to come before the people yet again. This time, Rajugaru is making an earnest appeal to the Chief Minister to interfere and save the public from his own party activists.
What Raju says is that the YCP leaders everywhere are making collections from the public. That is being done in the name of birthday celebrations for Jagan Reddy which fall on December 21. RRR says that the common public are unable to bear harassment from the YCP activists who are literally making forcible collections.
Already, the people are suffering greatly on account of Coronavirus impact, increased taxes, fares, etc. Raghu Rama Raju says that the common public are not in a position to withstand pressure from the ruling party leaders. Unless the CM himself shows some sympathy, there would be no relief to the people from the YCP activists’ collections.
It is well known how Jagan Reddy has got a fan following which is more fanatical than even those of film heroes and superstars. No wonder, an MP level leaker like RRR has made open appeal to the CM in this respect now.

YCP targets RRR with ‘false cases’: Rajugari epic dialogue

YCP usually uses its full power to foist cases and arrest the Opposition TDP leaders at the slightest dissent from them. Now, the ruling party is targetting its own rebel MP Raghu Rama Raju. YCP MLAs and even Minister Sriranganadha Raju filed cases in the police stations in Narasapuram Lok Sabha segment against RRR for his recent comments. It is undeniably true that CM Jagan Reddy regime faced one of the greatest embarrassments of all time in the RRR controversy.

Especially, the YCP was deeply upset with the rebel MP’s apparent closeness with BJP Delhi leadership. Even though all YCP MPs met Lok Sabha Speaker and pressed for action against Raju, there was no response yet on this. An angry YCP leadership is now bent upon giving whatever daily trouble it can give to Raghu Rama within the State.

Interestingly, the YCP MLAs and the Minister made police complaint saying that the rebel MP has passed objectionable and defamatory comments against the ruling party, the Chief Minister and themselves. One MLA even complained that RRR has passed dirty comments comparing the YCP MLAs and Ministers to pigs. Indeed, Rajugari epic dialogue borrowed from Rajnikant has greatly embarrassed the ruling party on TV and social media. The YCP is making hectic efforts to take its immediate revenge but is not successful yet. Raju still has upper hand thanks to support from anti-YCP parties. No doubt, RRR-YCP internal conflict has reached epic proportions that have no end in Telugu politics.
