Why is Ram Madhav visiting Vijayawada often?

0

Ram Madhav…. Till a few months ago, he was the rising star of the BJP. He won laurels wherever he went and got success in whatever he did. As the party’s general secretary, he was considered among the most powerful leaders. But, today after being drafted back to his mother organisation, the RSS, he is not in the news anymore. If sources serve us right, he is trying hard to claw his way back into the BJP again.

Of late, Ram Madhav is trying hard to be in the news again. He is organising a major conference in Nalanda and is writing articles regularly to the media organisations. Not just that, he is trying to pressurise the media houses to publish them. Source said that he is getting them translated into Telugu and wants them published in Telugu too. However, the media organisations that chased him for write-ups and interviews till recently, are sending the write-ups back.

Sources also say that Ram Madhav is trying to make him relevant in Andhra Pradesh. He is keeping a close tab on the developments in AP. He is said to be visiting AP as often as possible. He is visiting Vijayawada one of these days to address an RSS programme. In the guise of this programme, he is trying to bring all his supporters and sympathisers on one platform. He is also likely to meet some of his old friends in the BJP.

As of now, he is said to be reconnecting to all his old friends across the country and is said to be talking to them. While one does not know his future plans, he is getting active again and is touring the country. He is determined to come back to the BJP, but he believes that in the BJP, only patience pays. So, the waiting game continues for him.

Will Jagan take a cue from Ram Madhav’s hidden warning?

2

Come what may, AP Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy sticks to plan on his pet programmes like Cash Transfer programmes, Capital shifting, Rayalaseema Lift Irrigation Scheme, etc. Nobody can object to cash transfer schemes since it is the CM’s headache to mobilise funds. But, as regards issues like 3 Capitals, it would require the consent and consensus from many stakeholders including the Opposition parties. Till today, all Opposition parties except the BJP were strongly opposed to Jagan’s multiple capitals.

The BJP AP leaders have sent out mixed signals on Amaravati. One strong line indicated by BJP was that the centre had no role to intervene since Capital location was a concern of the respective state government.

But, now, none other than BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav gave a rude shock to Mr. Jagan Reddy. Ram Madhav made a direct attack on the YSRCP. The BJP leader right away dismissed 3 Capitals plan as just something aimed at doing large scale corruption in the State. This was something serious coming from a national leader of the BJP.

What more, Ram Madhav had even threatened that the BJP would not sit like a silent spectator if the ruling party in AP committed corruption in the name of 3 Capitals. Political analysts are seeing Madhav’s latest outburst as a strong warning to Jagan to change his adamant stand. In fact, Madhav has indirectly suggested to AP CM to stop 3 Capitals or face the worst that may come. It goes without saying that confusing statements of Somu Veerraju and GVR Narasimha Rao would no longer be taken seriously.

Large state like UP has one capital, why 3 capitals for AP: Ram Madhav

6

The BJP continues to talk in different voices over the three capitals issue even as the central BJP has recently made its stand clear by filing an affidavit in the High Court stating that the capital issue is a state subject and that the union government has no role to play in it.

In his latest comments, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Tuesday took a jibe at Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy stating that he will remain in the history as the only CM who proposed to create three capitals for one state. Ram Madhav questioned the wisdom of Jagan over his three capitals idea stating that when a large state like Uttar Pradesh has only one state, where was the need for the Chief Minister to envision three capitals for a much smaller state like Andhra Pradesh.

Uttar Pradesh has 75 districts with more than 230 million population. In contrast, Andhra Pradesh has a total of 13 districts, nine located in Coastal Andhra and four in Rayalaseema with a population of five crore. There has been a demand from some quarters to divide UP into smaller states on the ground that it’s a state too large to be governed from one state capital and by one chief minister.

“Uttar Pradesh is easily four times larger than Andhra Pradesh. It has only one capital in Lucknow. If such a big state can have only one capital, why cannot Andhra Pradesh? Lucknow has been working very well as the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The government of Uttar Pradesh has been functioning without any problem from Lucknow. The AP government should take a cue from Lucknow model,” Ram Madhav said. The BJP national secretary remarked that there is no reason why administration of Andhra Pradesh could not be done from a single location in Amaravati.

Further, Ram Madhav assured that the BJP would fight for the justice of farmers who gave their lands for the construction of the capital city in Amaravati. He vowed that the BJP will expose the ruling YRCP’s corruption in the creation of three capitals.

The central government had recently filed an affidavit in the Andhra Pradesh High Court that it has no role in capital creation. It had contended that it is the prerogative of a state to decide the location of its capital city. The Union government’s counter affidavit comes in the wake of the Andhra Pradesh High Court’s directive to the Jagan government to maintain status quo till August 14 on shifting of capital from Amaravati to Vizag.

The Modi government’s affidavit exposed the BJP’s double standards on the capital issue as the saffron party had passed a political resolution in favour of Amaravati as the capital. The central government had sanctioned Rs 2,500 crore for the project and an amount of Rs 1,500 crore had already been released.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had laid the foundation stone of the new capital Amaravati at Uddandarayunipalem village in Guntur district.

As a matter of fact, the Prime Minister had stated that the central government would fulfill all promises that had been made in the AP Reorganisation Act, 2014 and would be implemented in-toto.

The state BJP leaders have been talking in different voices on the capital issue ever since Chief Minister Y S Jaganmohan Reddy announced trifurcation for capital.

BJP leader Lanka Dinakar had stated that his party is in favour of Amaravati and is supporting the ‘One State, One Capital’ system in Andhra Pradesh, while G V L Narasimha Rao had clarified that the Centre has no role in the issue of the capital.

Kanna Lakshminarayana when he was state BJP president had written to Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan urging him not to give assent to the two capital bills.

Former TTD trust board member and BJP leader Dr O V Ramana had recently written an article against the three capital bills and Amaravati. State president Somu Veerraju was quick to suspend Ramana from the party for opposing party stand.

Capital farmers ask Ram Madhav for Centre’s interference

0

Amaravati Capital farmers met and narrated their woes to BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav. They told him how they are being subjected to mental agony just because they gave their ancestral lands for Capital City construction. They said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy and his Ministers have deliberately destroyed the Amaravati image in the name of one particular caste. They informed Ram Madhav that farmers of all communities are involved in the capital project. The farmers asked Madhav for the Modi government’s interference to resolve the Amaravati Capital crisis. All works are stopped amid rumors of capital shifting.

Responding on the complaints, Ram Madhav demanded that CM Jagan give clarity on his Capital City policy without further delay. Madhav promised to arrange a meeting for Amaravati farmers with PM Modi and Amit Shah. The farmers also told Madhav that the YCP government has reduced them to beggars. Payment of a few thousands of compensation would not be enough for their livelihoods. Farmers said that Jagan is giving punishment to them for their innocent task of providing lands to Capital.

AP people have fallen from the frying pan into the fire: BJP

0

The Bharatiya Janata Party is leaving no opportunity to attack the ruling YCP in Andhra Pradesh. YCP leaders are not at all countering their statements. The BJP is now of the opinion that the Jagan Reddy government is becoming more and more unpopular every day because of its own anti-development and anti-people policies. It thinks AP people are feeling that they have made a mistake in the last general election.

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav has stepped up his strong attack on the Jaganmohan Reddy government. He says that the AP people have already lost their hopes of getting any improvement in their loves from the ruling party. They thought of betterment by changing the government but even greater harm is being done to them now.

Ram Madhav says that the AP people have now fallen from the frying pan into the fire by giving a thunderous majority to the YCP. Their hopes on the second regional party have gone. Ram Madhav asserts that there’s a clear chance that the people will go with the BJP as it is a national party which will stay in power at the Centre for the next 25 years.

BJP renewed efforts to win over Jana Senani?

BJP National General Secretary Ram Madhav had a chance to meet with Jana Senani privately during the ongoing TANA conference in America. They reportedly discussed on the latest and emerging political situation in Telugu states. But BJP leaders are triggering rumours that their party has once again started efforts to win over Pawan Kalyan. Their thinking is that Senani may change his mind over working with the BJP because of the disaster in recent election.

Jana Sena got only 70 per cent vote share with just one MLA in AP Assembly. The BJP’s show is far more miserable as it got less than one per cent share with no MLA won. Since then, the BJP decided to change their party strategies. They brought in Kanna Laxminarayana as the party AP President to attract a good chunk of the Kapu votes but that did not give any positive results.

Now, the BJP has started the game afresh. First, they tried to bring in Chiranjeevi who appeared to have said a polite no to his political re-entry. Whereas, it is a different thing with Pawan Kalyan. He has asserted that he will continue in politics for over 25 years regardless of political outcomes. The BJP strongly feels that if Pawan joins their party, it will become a very strong force in Andhra enough to counter rival parties. Even if Jana Sena works as a friendly party, the BJP will get a big boost.

We should get rid of YCP tag, says BJP Ram Madhav

0

They discussed the one month rule of YCP and also the need for changing the political direction of BJP in the state. Ram Madhav had asked the party leaders to find out ways on how to remove the image of BJP as a friendly part of YCP.

Some leaders have brought to the notice of Ram Madhav on YCP-friendly statements being given by leaders like MP GVL Narasimha Rao. These comments may have a negative impact on the coming membership drive. They contended that the BJP should take up a hostile stance and begin attacking the ruling YCP.

BJP AP leaders said that CM Jaganmohan Reddy is facing serious criticism over the demolition of Praja Vedika building built by Chandrababu Naidu. They also pointed out that there was criticism against Jagan’s extension of Amma Vodi financial assistance to students of private educational colleges.
