SS Thaman starts working on NTR – Trivikram film

SS Thaman is one of the most sought after composers in Tollywood at present. He is occupied with numerous big ticket offers and the highly anticipated NTR – Trivikram film one among them.

While the regular shooting is currently underway in Ramoji Film City, Thaman has commenced working on tunes for this untitled film. Trivikram Srinivas has a good taste for music and he is well known to extract the best out of composers. So, it remains to be seen what Thaman and Trivikram have in store for music lovers with this film.

This also the first time Thaman and Trivikram have teamed up and they will be looking to deliver nothing short of a chartbuster album.

Thaman has been roped in for this film after Tamil composer Anirudh Ravichander has been left out due to some unknown reasons after Trivikram’s Agnyathaavaasi tanked at the box office.

NTR28 : A good deal for Thaman and producer

Telugu360 was the first to break news that SS Thaman has been finalized as the composer for NTR – Trivikram project. After Anirudh’s exit, Devi Sri Prasad was initially considered for this film. But, Trivikram and producer finally decided to go with Thaman.

It is exclusively learnt that Thaman has quoted 70 lakhs remuneration for this crazy flick. This is a good deal for Thaman given that he was paid 50 lakhs for his latest film, Tholi Prema. He is now going to take a better paycheck for this film. Also, it benefits the producer because composers like DSP and Anirudh are currently paid around 2.5 Crores for big ticket films.

So this is a smart move by Trivikram and producer to bring man in form Thaman for this project.

The regular shooting of this untitled film will commence in March. The other cast and crew are yet to be finalized.

Thaman’s Music for Ram Charan Boyapati Srinu Movie

Mega actor Ram Charan is all set to wrap up his next titled Rangasthalam 1985. This Sukumar directorial is said to be a village based romantic entertainer and the entire shoot of the film will be wrapped up by December. The actor gave his nod for a script narrated by Boyapati Srinu and the untitled movie has been launched yesterday with a pooja ceremony. Boyapati is currently picking up the cast, crew for the film and the regular shoot will kick-start from January 2018.

Young music sensation SS Thaman has been roped in to compose the tunes and background score for the mass entertainer. Thaman earlier worked for Ram Charan’s Bruce Lee and Boyapati Srinu’s Sarrainodu. The makers are in plans to release the film during Dasara next year and this untitled flick will be bankrolled by DVV Entertainments.

SS Thaman didn’t compose for any big ticket film this year but bagged good appreciation for his work in Raju Gari Gadhi 2 and Mahanabhavudu. He is currently lined up numerous projects like Sai Dharam Tej’s Jawaan and Intelligent, Anushka’s Bhagmati, Tamil film Sketch and Nithiin’s upcoming film to name a few.

The talented composer has now bagged two crazy projects of 2018. He has been roped in to compose the tunes for Naga Chaitanaya’s film with Maruthi titled as Shailaja Reddy and Ram Charan’s untitled film in the direction of Boyapati Srinu which is likely to be launched early next year.

Interestingly, Thaman is working for Chaitu and Charan’s films after quite some time. He rendered tunes for Chaitu’s Tadaka in 2014 and Charan’s Bruce Lee in 2015.

SS Thaman lauded by Mega Fans

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s next film Syeraa Narasimha Reddy has been launched recently and the motion poster of the film has been unveiled yesterday by SS Rajamouli on the occasion of Chiranjeevi’s 62nd birthday. SS Thaman composed the music score for the motion poster though it was Academy award winner AR Rahman who has been roped in to compose the music. Thaman himself revealed the news about the background score through his twitter and he has been widely applauded for his work.

Mega fans left the young music composer in praises for his stupendous work. The film’s director Surendar Reddy wanted SS Thaman to compose the music and Megastar too gave his nod. Ever since the film has been planned in all the Indian languages, Megastar wanted a composer who gained national recognition after which AR Rahman has been locked. Thaman was quite comfortable to score the music for the motion poster after his close friend Surendar Reddy requested him and this is how it happened.

The regular shoot of the film is expected to start next month and Ramcharan will produce Syeraa. Top actors and proved technicians have been roped in for the film.

SS Thaman for Young Tiger

Young Tiger NTR signed his first ever television show Big Boss which is said to be the costliest ever show. Tarak will start shooting for the show soon and he is currently busy preparing for it. Young music composer SS Thaman composed the title track for the show and he took twitter to reveal the news. Made on a budget of Rs 45 crores, Tarak is said have been paid whopping amount for Big Boss which will be aired on Star MAA. Tarak will shoot for the show in Mumbai in a specially erected house set.

NTR is currently shooting for Jai Lava Kusa in the direction of Bobby which is said to be a mass entertainer. The actor will be presented in three different roles and the shoot is currently taking place in a specially erected set in Ramoji Film City, Hyderabad. Nivetha Thomas and Rashi Khanna are the female leads in the film which is bankrolled by Kalyanram’s NTR Arts. The film has been aimed for September release.

In Telugu, Thaman will be a part of the highly anticipated Uyyalawada Narasimha Reddy biopic that stars Megastar Chiranjeevi in the lead.

Sarainodu Review , Sarrainodu Review

Stylish Star Allu Arjun’s Sarrainodu is one of the eagerly awaited films this summer. Directed by Mr. Boyapati Srinu, the film features Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa as the female leads. Produced by Allu Aravind on a spectacularly high budget, Sarrainodu created a huge buzz in the trade circles with solid pre-release business in all areas. Let us see how this movie has shaped up.

Story (Spoiler-Free) :

Gana (Allu Arjun), a member of the State Chief Secretary’s family, is a military veteran living in Hyderabad. Gana thinks it is funny to flirt with Hanshita Reddy (Catherine Tresa), an MLA. Meanwhile near Khammam, the Chief Minister’s son Vairam Dhanush ( Aadi Pinisetty), establishes a ruthless mafia specializing in land grabbing, rape and murder. Saikumar, a friend of State Chief Secretary, lives in this terror ridden area with his daughter Rakul Preet Singh. A land grabbing incident triggers rivalry between Saikumar and Vairam Dhanush. The consequences of this fight and how it makes Gana the person to make things right, make up the rest of the story.

What worked well ?

Firstly, in spite of the trailers depicting the movie as an out and out mass entertainer, the movie has some decent family attracting elements as well, especially in the first half. The director took time to well establish the characters in the initial phase of the movie. Allu Arjun’s role has three dimensions to it: a family member, a lover and an action hero. With a total body language make over, he excelled in every aspect of this role making him sarrainodu for the role. In spite of the script lending to more than life characterization, Arjun made sure to keep his acting subtle – directly resulting in very good performance. Arjun’s performance deserves a special mention during the court scene in the first half of the movie.

Coming to the rest of the cast, Aadi Pinisetty was perfect for the villain role, stylish and ruthless. Brahmanandam, who has failed to evoke much laughter in the recent times, did not fail too bad this time. Vidyullata Raman’s role as a tamil lady, was funny – a little bit. Rakul Preet Singh could have done better in a meatier role, she certainly has the talent and the glamor.

Well composed fights, though a couple of them could have done better, had proper emotions been built into the scenes leading to them. At the same time, it could be said that by leveraging Allu Arjun’s super macho looks, the fights had a raw feel to them. For you fitness freaks, Allu Arjun with his perfectly toned biceps, is a treat to watch.

The second half of the film, with a lengthy comedy sequence featuring Pradeep Rawat and 30 years industry experience Prudhvi was well featured.

Songs are OK, a couple them looked great onscreen: “This is a private party”, “Block BusterE”

What should have been better ?

Songs – Allu Arjun’s movies usually do well in the music department, this time no so much The songs are pretty ordinary, except for the two mentioned earlier. The script has many loose ends and is slow at times, not a working formula with the audience today.

The single point confrontation in the second half, lacked the elements to make it right and it just fizzled out. Additionally the back to back action scenes in the last 30 minutes of the movie, may not connect with the mass audience.

Verdict :

Allu Arjun, who is on top gear with back to back hits like Race Gurram , S/O Satya murthy , may not be able to work his magic this time round. While other mass heroes are trying to cater more to overseas and urbane audience in India, surprisingly, Allu Arjun has done this violent filled action movie which may not go well with these audiences. However, there is still hope for the movie this summer, thanks to due to Allu Arjun’s stardom. So should you watch this movie? – Hmm, yeah, may be for Allu Arjun’s performance, if you have time to spare.

Thaman pulls off a stunning feat

Happening music composer SS Thaman, who is well known for his hard rock and peppy tunes, has pulled of a stunning feat while working for Bruce Lee. It is learnt that the music director has completed the re-recording for Bruce Lee in just 9 days. Usually, composers take considerable time to complete the re-recording for their films, but Thaman has did it only in 9 days working day and night with his team.

Already, the songs composed by Thaman are getting a thumping response among the audience and the background score in the trailers have became a talk of the town. Bruce Lee post production has been wrapped up in no time and the first copy has been readied recently.The film will be censored today.

Directed by Sreenu Vaitla, Bruce Lee stars Ram Charan and Rakul Preet in the lead roles. DVV Danayya is the producer for the film which is slated for a grand release on October 16th.
