Vijay Devarakonda’s Independence Day release Geetha Govindham is poised for a very strong opening in Telugu states. The romantic entertainer has been creating ripples in trade circles ever since the promising teaser and chart-buster songs have been unveiled by the makers.

Proving that the film is eagerly awaited by the audience, the advance bookings are quite stunning in all areas of Telugu states. Though a portion of the film has been leaked directly from editing rooms there is no impact on the bookings as many shows on the first two days are fast filling. In overseas, the film is going to have big premiers on Tuesday.

Geetha Govindham team is highly confident that the entertaining elements coupled with Vijay’s screen presence will click bigtime and set the tone for a strong box office show in the first weekend.

Directed by Parasuram, the film is produced by Geetha Arts banner.

Young actor Vijay Devarakonda is testing his luck with Geetha Govindam after one year after the release of blockbuster Arjun Reddy. The movie has been carrying massive expectations and Vijay Devarakonda turned emotional during his speech at the pre-release event. The actor revealed that he underwent an eye surgery recently and the doctors advised him rest for a week. He wore black glasses during his speech and he said that he was shattered after he came to know that the clippings of Geetha Govindam have been leaked online.

“I was shattered after coming to know that the film has been leaked online. I underwent eye surgery a week ago but did not take rest. I dubbed for the second time as we wanted to get the best output. I had no words after coming to know about piracy of Geetha Govindam. But after watching the energy of fans, I am delighted” said Vijay Devarakonda.

Geetha Govindam has been directed by Parasuram and Rashmika Mandanna played the female leads. The film is hitting the screens on August 15th.

With continuous downpour in Kerala, several people turning homeless and many celebrities stepped out donating for the needy. Young actor Vijay Devarakonda contributed his part for Chief Minister’s Relief Fund and he requested his fans to donate their best. Vijay transferred Rs 5 lakhs to Kerala Chief Minister and he shared the screenshots of the transaction. Vijay revealed that Kerala happened to be one of his favorite holiday destinations.

Kerala was my first holiday destination and has given me a lot of love for my work, I’ve met a lot of people from there who are some of the nicest people I know, I don’t know how to reach out personally” posted Vijay on his official twitter handle.

Geetha Govindam starring Vijay Devarkonda and Rashmika Mandanna, is slated to on 15th August, got a shocker as scenes of the movie are circulating in social media. Scenes are being shared by engineering colleges too. Finally, police have taken into custody some students as well as some technicians from the industry.

Engineering college students around Guntur area got the scenes of the movie and they have been sharing the scenes. This came to the notice of some small time director in the industry who passed on the information to Geetha arts. Then Geetha arts guys have took it to notice of Police. Guntur urban SP Vijay Rao has ordered for an inquiry into the issue. Police found that a team member, during post production work, took scenes into his mobile and shared it to some friends, who later circulated to others and the chain continued. Police, after taking the students into custody could trace where the leakage originated and took that person also into custody. Meanwhile, Geetha arts is putting their best efforts to stop the leaked scenes being circulated further.

Geetha Govindam has Vijay Devarakonda, who got immense following after Arjun Reddy, at the helm. ‘Chalo’ heroine Rashmika Mandanna is his pair. It is directed by Parasuram, bankrolled by Bunny Vasu and is presented by Allu Aravind. There is already huge buzz on the movie and already couple of numbers from the movie became chartbusters.

The audio launch of Vijay Devarakonda’s upcoming film Geetha Govindam took place in Hyderabad this Sunday.

It is well known that a song crooned by Vijay has invited huge criticism from music lovers which led to its removal from YouTube. Several trolling videos and memes have hit social media sites after the release of this song.

Reacting on the controversy during the audio event, Vijay accepted that the song lyrics and his vocals didn’t go well with audience. He said it was the director and the producer who insisted him to lend vocals for the song , but their idea went awry. Vijay took trolls and memes on a lighter vein and also requested the organisers to play them during the event. Vijay said a new version of the song will soon be uploaded with change in lyrics.

Vijay Devarakonda’s next outing Geetha Govindam has been carrying huge buzz right after the release of the teaser and the first single. Both of them have been smashing hits and kept the expectations high on the film. The makers released the second single ‘What the F’ from the film which left the film into a bunch of controversies. With Geetha Govindam carrying clean ‘U’ buzz, the second song is said to have spoiled all the good buzz Geetha Govindam attained.

Some of the lyrics from the song have been objectionable and did not go well with a section of audience. Now the song has been removed from Youtube and the makers are in plans to keep an end to the controversies. There are talks that the makers wanted to bring enough buzz through the song but soon after the song landed into controversies, it has been removed from Youtube.
