There is a big discussion going on in Tollywood about the top actors taking big remunerations and doing one film every two years. A press conference has been held this evening and the team has taken a direct dig against the top actors who are quite slow in doing films. Telangana State Film Chamber Secretary Sridhar made strong comments.
He said “Every top actor did two films per year in the past. But now, they have restricted themselves from doing one film for two years. The industry is suffering because of this. Every actor has hiked their remuneration and this is troubling the producers. Telangana State Film Chamber never had plans to close the theatres and head for strike. This was the decision made by two producers and two directors. This went in the wrong manner. If there are no films of stars coming, the exhibition industry will suffer a lot and the single screens will head for closure”.
