It is a daring decision for the Tollywood producers to step away from the Telugu Unions and work without their support. The discussions are going on and the Tollywood producers have rejected the 30 percent hike proposal. They have given a clear indication that they would hire individuals and aspirants outside the Unions and will make the shoots comfortable. All those who are associated with the Unions are left puzzled if they would get work like in the past. The Telugu film shoots got disrupted from the past two days and some of the producers have relied on workforce outside the Unions.
The shoot of Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh got disrupted after the producers hired a unit from Mumbai. The situation came into control later. A Costumer from the Union joined the sets of a film and he was attacked by the Union members. All those who are interested to work irrespective of the Unions are asked to attend the shoots. It is an individual decision but the attacks are carried. The Unions are blackmailing the members from the past two days and are mounting pressure. All those who rely on daily wages are worried. Several unexpected incidents are happening from the past couple of days.
On the other side, the producers of Telugu cinema have come out with a proposal of 10 percent hike after one year if the strike is called off now and a hike of 15 percent would be given if the Unions will not propose any further hikes for the next three years. The Unions are yet to respond for the proposal.
