Nandamuri Balakrishna himself announced that he is penning the script of Aditya 369 sequel and it is titled Aditya 999. He also announced that his son Mokshagnya will be seen in a crucial role. Though he had initial plans to direct the film himself, he later offered the responsibility to Krish. But the sensible director has walked out of the film due to unknown reasons. Balayya approached a couple of directors but none of them got finalized.
Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, the director of Aditya 369 always wanted no sequel for the film as the story ended up in the first part. Also he is aged 94 and he has no plans to take up the sequel. Balayya was quite excited several times when asked about Aditya 999 but the project is not on track. With a mad rush of films lined up, Balakrishna should have ignored Aditya 999 for now. He is shooting for NBK 111 for now and he lined up a political drama to be directed by Koratala Siva. He is also holding talks with several young directors and he has packed 2026 and 2027 ahead.
