A massive Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) 2.0 is being held across Andhra Pradesh today, with the participation of over 2.28 crore people, aiming to set a new world record. The main event will take place at the Zilla Parishad High School in Kothacheruvu, Puttaparthi constituency, where Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Minister Nara Lokesh will be present.
During the event, they will gather feedback and suggestions from parents regarding the functioning of schools and distribute students’ progress cards to parents.
In this PTM2.0, parents sit down with teachers to discuss their child’s academic progress. The first Mega PTM held in December last year was a grand success, and today marks the second edition (2.0) of this initiative.
This mega event will include Students, Teachers, Parents, School Management Committees, Government officials, Philanthropists, and Alumni.
The goal is to conduct the PTM across all government, aided, and unaided schools, as well as junior colleges in the state, on a single day. The state government has planned this as a festival-like event to celebrate education and parent engagement.
Targeting a Guinness World Record
With a participation of 2.28 crore people, the state government aims to enter the Guinness World Records for the largest-ever Parent-Teacher Meeting. The Chief Minister and Education Minister will launch the event virtually from the ZP High School, Kothacheruvu.
