Actor Nani is proving why his movies are a safe bet in overseas circuit. His latest film Nenu Local, which released last Friday, is having a solid first weekend at the US box office. After taking a strong start with promising numbers on Thursday premiers ($ 166K), Nenu Local went on to collect impressive figures on Friday by raking in $ 190K.
According to the latest trade reports, Nenu Local has already grossed $150K ( still counting) on Saturday and breached the half million mark in style. Trade experts are expecting a big first weekend and believe that the film will break even by the end of next week. As reported earlier, Nenu Local should gross more than $ 800K to enter the profit zone.
In Telugu states too, Nenu Local embarked on a phenomenal start at the box office by raking strong figures in Nizam and Andhra.
Nani’s entertaining performance is a big draw for the film despite a worn-out storyline. Keerthi Suresh is the heroine for this film which has its music score by Devi Sri Prasad. Trinadh Rao Nakkina is the director. Dil Raju produced the film on Sri Venkateswara Creations banner.
