Rs 7 crore found in a Hyderabad cab driver’s account

A cab driver deposing an awesome amount of Rs 7 crore in his account at State Bank of Hyderabad in Hyderabad has created sensation in the city. Incidentally, since last five years, not a single rupee was deposited in his account.

Soon after depositing the amount, it was transferred to two bullion traders’ accounts, by online. The cab driver later when caught said he was planning to purchase gold with that amount.

He is also said that he is ready to pay to pay Rs 3.5 crore tax under Prime Minister’s Garib Kalyan. IT and ED officials wonder how such big amount surfaced in his account.

The entire amount was deposited in the form of demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes. IT and ED officials unearthed this came through cc cameras of the bank. Incidentally neither bank manager, no cashier informed IT officials’ about this deposit. They are probing further by taking cab driver into custody.
