NTR’s Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava that ended up as a smashing hit during Dasara last year got telecasted recently on small screen. The film marked the comeback of Trivikram and NTR’s roaring performance has been widely lauded. Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava was telecasted on Zee Telugu and registered a TRP of 13.70. The film fell short of Geetha Govindam (20.51), Rangasthalam (19.5) and Bharat Ane Nenu (14.60) which were smashing hits on small screen too last year. Allu Arjun’s Naa Peru Surya got 12.15 while Pawan Kalyan’s Agnyaathavaasi was even rejected on television as it registered the lowest TRP of 6.11 on small screen among the biggies released in 2018.

After a decent to good second weekend, Aravindha Sametha has slowed down adding a mere 1.50 Cr worldwide in the last three days. 2 Weeks total of the film now stands at 87 Cr. The film is yet to be a breakeven in most of the areas excluding Nizam , Guntur & Krishna (Advance Basis Saves It). Reddamma Thali – the Emotional song of ASVR Gets New Twist
The recently released commercial entertainer Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava has gathered good attention for great performance by Jr. NTR as someone who strives to bring peace in Rayalaseema region. This film also marks Trivikram’s comeback as a competent director after facing debacle with his earlier film Agnyaathavaasi.

US box office : Ordinary weekend after a strong start for ASVR
NTR starrer Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava had an ordinary weekend at the overseas box office after a strong start with Wednesday premiers. The commercial entertainer, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, has collected a total of $ 1.8 Million by the end of Sunday.
Aravindha Sametha need to have a super strong Tuesday to hit the $ 2.5 Million mark in its full run. After $ 800K from premiers, the film collected decent revenues till Saturday to take the total past $ 1.5 Million. With a slow Sunday, the total has surpassed NTR’s Janatha Garage to emerge as second highest grosser in his career after Nannaku Prematho.

Excessive Pricing: A Hurdle for Aravindha Sametha
NTR’s Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava released during the holiday season and the film has been sold out for record prices. The buyers across Andhra Pradesh acquired special permissions to hike the ticket prices for four days during the first weekend. However this turned out to be a barrier for the film as several audience had to return back after they could not afford paying Rs 200 per ticket.
A section of audience have been badly opposing the idea of ticket hike as it is not affordable. Despite of losing a section of audience, the buyers are in plans to continue to sell the tickets for huge prices on weekdays too to take the advantage of the ongoing holiday season. With average to good divided talk all over, the ticket hike for Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava turned out to be a barrier. Several audience are in plans to watch the film once the ticket rates are reduced.
Though the permissions acquired are only for four days, several exhibitors across Uttarandhra, East, Guntur and Nellore are in plans to sell the tickets for excessive prices during the weekdays too to cash during the holiday season. West Godavari distributors acquired the ticket hike permissions for 11 days and they witnessed huge crowds returning back over the weekend because of the ticket hike. They will have to pay the taxes for Rs 200 per ticket for the 11 days and with no options left, they will continue to sell tickets for high prices till the completion of the holiday season.
Movies like Baahubali and Rangasthalam could stand over the wave of excessive ticket pricing because of the exceptional word of mouth. But things are completely different with Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava as the film received average response all over. With nothing much to do, several audience have been waiting for the ticket prices to come down so that they can afford to watch Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava with their family.
With mostly middle class families across the towns and villages, the ticket hike turned out to be a hurdle for several film lovers. A possible solution for this will be appreciated felt several audience.

Speaking at the success meet in Hyderabad on Sunday, director Trivikram Srinivas showered praises on the whole team for their efforts. He thanked each and every technician for their honest work and thanked audience for making the film a big success.
Talking about producer, China Babu, Trivikram said he is like a critic who points out his mistakes. Trivikram referred to Telugu360 while talking about China Babu. He also lavished praises on other technicians like cinematographer and art director.
Talking about NTR, Trivikram said he is a match to his grandfather and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. ‘ An actor like NTR is required for every generation and he is undoubtedly the torchbearer of the current era, said Trivikram. He also recollected how NTR effortlessly carried emotions in crucial episodes of the film.
Trivikram praised action directors duo Ram – Lakshman for composing emotional action sequences in the film and also thanked them for advising him to not script a fight in the climax episode of the film.
Aravindha Sametha is a rebirth for Sunil, opined Trivikram Srinivas. He also recalled his association and friendship with Sunil.
100 Crores ASVR poster : Bad trend continues
The ugly trend of releasing posters with collections after the release of big ticket films is continuing with Aravindha Sametha too. Earlier this Summer, publicity teams of Bharat Ane Nenu consistently released posters regularly to hype the collections claiming gross was greater than BLOCKBUSTER Rangasthalam. This strategy has resulted in needless controversies among fans about collections and received a lot of criticism from general audience. Ram Charan, too, repudiated it as a bad idea and avowed to refrain from releasing posters for his films from here after. His decision has been hailed as a sensible one from all quarters.
Now, NTR’s publicity teams seem to have followed the trend of releasing the posters. While Aravindha Sametha is have a strong run in Telugu states and other regional territories, enthusiastic publicity team has released 100 Crores gross posters. Instead of enjoying the success of the films, teams are involving in projecting numbers for the sake of publicity which is only damaging and belittling the fame of heroes.
As Ram Charan has publicly announced, it is time NTR, Mahesh Babu stop this ugly trend and advise their teams accordingly.

US box office : Strong Friday for Aravindha Sametha
After a phenomenal start at US box office with close to $ 800K gross on Wednesday premiers, NTR’s Aravindha Sametha is holding well in the first weekend. The Trivikram Srinivas directional collected $ 242K on Thursday and set for a strong weekend.
As per the latest trade reports from US, Aravindha Sametha notched up close to $ 300K on its first Friday to take the tally past $ 1.3 Million. The average collections per location is very good and trade analysts are predicting a decent run in the next couple of days.
Aravindha Sametha is an emotional faction story which has NTR in a powerful role. Pooja Hegde is the film’s leading lady.

Telugu Cinema gets into serious mode
Probably from the late 1980s or the early of 1990s, Telugu cinema has witnessed a changed with commercial factor playing a crucial role. High octane fight sequences, comedy track, colorful songs and the mid 2000s brought a trend of item numbers, remained as pillars of a film’s success for a decade or so.
But again, as audience always look for something new, over the last couple of years, there is a change too and it happened inevitably. Audiences have started accepting films that are serious in nature despite the same old plot. But that’s not the case of a filmmaker who would like to make a film in every possible genre and at the same time, the success is what takes him/her forward. Nonetheless we have very few directors been experimenting and incorporating a social message with commercial elements.
Directors Koratala Siva set this trend with ‘Srimanthudu,’ ‘Janatha Garage’ and ‘Bharat Ane Nenu.’ Though the first two films have a regular story, ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’ is one of the boldest attempts in the recent times and it is sort of an awareness film for the audience. ‘Rangasthalam’ is another example of a serious drama and it’s been a while Telugu audience have witnessed a proper village drama with rustic approach. The characters in the film will remain for a long-long time.
The latest edition is ‘Aravindha Sametha Veera Raghava.’ A combination of Jr NTR and Trivikram is anticipated with loads of entertainment, punch dialogues, songs in lavish abroad locations and blah.. blah… blah. Surprising everyone, this film stuck to its core point and it clearly lacked the comedy track (that’s critics’ words). As the audiences are the ultimate deciders, ‘Aravindha Sametha’ is on its way to become a biggest hit in NTR’s career.
